Look Jet is a decent cafe. They are quick, in a great location and good meeting place. Staff are efficient but food is a little bland and coffee is not the best in town. But I’ll come back as I can always rely on them being open when other cafes are well and truly closed.
From the 17 casual dining and takeaway options within the upper north shore complex of St Ives Shopping Village, this is the one that greets you on your arrival and departure. Modern Australian with ripples of international influence, THE JET BURGER is one of the namesake signatures, a pillar in its truth to classics which echoes throughout the menu. 100% Aussie Beef, American Cheddar, Tomato, Caramelized Onion, Cucumber Pickles, Lettuce, American Mustard and Tomato Sauce, Served on a Freshly Toasted Bun w Beer Battered Fries. Little to criticise here as the venue is born from decades of expertise on what’s in and what’s now. They’ve mastered their own lean meat to fat ratio and balance of seasoning through patty mix, cooking technique demonstrated in the sealing of juices that burst into the sauce and layers on each bite.
Belle découverte dans ce bar café où nous avons dégusté notre premier café. Nous y sommes retournés pour le déjeuner et nous n'avons pas été déçu. Le personnel est très sympa et souriant. Je le recommande vivement.
Merci Jet bar Café: D
Great place to charge up with excellent coffees after a hectic day's activities, preferably à deux, and chill out. Snappy friendly service and great location. Should your stomach be open to suggestions try the fresh salads and sandwiches choices from their express menu. Delicious!
was such a lovely place to have a cup of coffee , seating placed on the busy sidewalk of the QVB. Atmosphere , coffee and service was pretty nice
My home away from home in such a central ‘queen’ location! Great food & beverages every time and I’m always made feel so welcome and valued. The manager always accommodates my bizarre requests, truly grateful! Recommend to anyone
Had celebratory drinks here on Saturday for a special family occasion and we were treated marvelously. The staff couldn't do enough for us, the food was delicious - and their coffee is always 2nd to none. One of my favorite spots whenever I visit Sydney
Great coffee, great friendly team, food that hits the spot, lush wine, amazing people watching locale plus outdoor smoking area... totally love this iconic cafe/restaurant in the heart of it all!
I'm an occasional visitor to Jet on business trips to Sydney, but this time I was here with the whole fam for Sunday brunch. Antonette and the team were terrific as always. Service was quick, friendly and attentive, coffees were great and the food was excellent. Location is perfect for people watching, there is always a good vibe and plenty of chatter. Well worth a visit.
One of my firsts and favorite in Sydney. I just love everything about this place - food, people, service and their location. I love their Rigatoni pasta, hot chocolate and potato chips. Next time you are at CBD and looking for a quick grab please visit Jet, I am sure the place won't let you down.
I love breakfast, it's my favourite meal of the day. And I love pancakes 🥞
So when I saw pancakes on the menu, I didn't see for anything better.
The staff was courteous and the hostess was super sweet. A huge group of us were meeting for breakfast here and she was happy to accommodate everyone of us during morning rush!!!
So, the pancakes arrived and I started digging in...I loved it in my first bite and as I came back to normalcy so did the taste. The syrup is not maple syrup....but the blueberry jam and the crème friache were good. Pancakes were okaish..
But I think I would still go there for the pancakes...it's just one of those places that I don't want to give up just yet!!! 💪🏼
Love their coffee! I've been regular for the last 15 years. Convenient spot to catch up with friends. Breakfast is average but the portions aren't too bad.
A nice cafe situated perfectly at the entrance of the QVB, stopped in here for coffee to meet a friend, and the waiter seated me and took my order promptly. The coffee was really lovely, it wasn't too bitter as I find long blacks are most of the time which was a nice change. The ambiance was nice as well. Another server rudely interrupted my conversation which wasn't pleasant but what can you do?
Overall a good cafe but nothing really to rave about.
The cafe is located on the ground level of the QVB just near the main entrance.
I went with a small group of 5 people. We were immediately seated despite how busy it was. We were also given menus and almost immediately served for drinks/food.
I thought the service was slightly rushed, however, they were attentive to all the customers around. (Which there were a lot of!).
I ordered a hot chocolate with Frangelico liqueur. It was delicious, however more on the cold-warm side. Also I ordered a green tea which was quite average.
For food I had Polenta fries with a blue cheese sauce. It was a very delicious combination and a generous portion. The polenta chips also had a nice spice and a great crunch!
Overall, the experience there was very satisfying and I am interested in re-visiting to try more of the food on the menu!
This place has been an institution on this busy corner of the QVB. Cafe by day filled with business people, tourists, friends & families, it has a good menu that caters to all tastes. In the afternoons there is happy hour and bar and it is just as buzzy. Food is tasty, like a delicious bacon & egg roll with a generous dollop of delicious aioli. Even the cheese & tomato toasted sandwich is pimped up with creamy seeded mustard & provolone cheese. Thickshakes are super thick, like a big tin of melted ice cream! The lentil soup of the day was hearty, healthy and delicious as is the halloumi and pumpkin salad for a lighter touch. Good coffee, friendly service & good food, no wonder it has been a stayer.
One of the few restaurants open for dinner in the Sydney CBD during the week. Great spot to eat if you have a show to catch. Italian food, licensed, great coffee.
Jet Bar Caffe serves the best coffee I've had anywhere on this planet. When I arrive in Sydney the very first thing I do is head to Jet, order a Flat White Coffee and sit and watch the world go by. The second thing I do, is order another...
This is a convenient casual place for coffee. I've eaten before and the meals were OK but nothing special, especially at the fairly high prices. However, I prefer it for coffee and cakes, which are good but at high prices. It has long hours and a convenient location, plus they've gone french-style with some outdoor seating facing the street, so you can watch the buses and garbage trucks go by.
You know when you take frequent trips to places for work or just to visit family and friends, have a few too many drinks and need a good breakfast and coffee to set you right for the day or flight to come. Well this place is our go to for just that purpose. We visit Sydney 2-4 times per year, depending on the number of family weddings or potential business trips that may arise and Jet Bar Caffe never disappoints for the perfect breakfast and coffee hit during our short and scattered stays. It's true we have only had breakfast here but it is good and each time I go back the service and quality is always there. Not just your standard bacon and egg breakkie and not too hipster fancy that you have to choose between quinoa and superfoods.
I had been here before and my experience was just as good as the first time. A lovely large establishment with plenty of outdoor seating, this place is great for a classic cafe meal. Our meals were certainly filling and tasty and the service was very friendly. Would recommend.
I've been here for breakfast a couple of times, and the food is solid and dependable without being amazing. Roomy and usually plenty of seating inside (or out of the weather permits). Also a good option for a coffee in the afternoon before grabbing the train home again.
My partner has been here before although this was my first time. We came here for dinner on a weeknight. The waitress was super friendly and chatty and the meals were quick and delicious. The menu and food isn't spectacular but it fit the cafe style quite well
I always come here for relaxing, when I want to think about sth, meeting my friends and sometimes want to drink for a bit. Staff always welcome in friendly way. Love here delicious coffee and food. The poached eggs with baked tomato are awesome for brekkie, lunch or branch. Good location(it's in the entrance of QVB),Good food, Good atmosphere!
Jet bar cafe is a very trendy, relaxing and organised place to sit and have a coffee or meal, I think the staff are very friendly and they always smile and greet as soon as you walk into there restaurant. I get there every morning at 8am and have a cappuccino and the friendly staff are always over the top with there service with hello hellos and happy faces. The restaurant is organised with a smoking section and non smoking, smart idea and I believe its the only restaurant in the cbd area that is permitted to smoke there. So yea its worth the money that I have spent on the coffees. The coffees are really smooth and creamy and only made from the best smiley invited people in Sydney city.

What a lovely place to come on a gloomy day like today, the weather says hot coffee and hearty breakfast. I was curious of this cafe and thought I would try it out, a well maintained seating area and the decor is fancy and intimate. I ordered the prosciutto fried eggs and a strong latte, the coffee was absolutely perfect, the strength was just right. The prosciutto fried eggs came with toasted Turkish bread with a spread of tomato relish, a toss of basil and rocket, two fried eggs, with salty prosciutto layered on top and garnished with fresh Parmesan. The taste is absolutely sensational, the only criticism I have is the knife provided did not cut through the bread very well. I was greeted by a gentleman as soon as I walked in and given a glass of water and his full attention. Good customer service is essential to a good experience. I will be coming back and recommend you to try this lovely cafe in the heart of Sydney.
I had a breakfast meeting here yesterday.
Truffle scramble eggs were well executed.
Service was timely and waiter was polite and informative.
Coffee and OJ arrived a little late but, the place seemed busy at the time.
Overall, an enjoyable experience with reasonable value for money.
Would recommend to business types and tourists alike.
Had lunch here on Friday.
Fast, efficient and friendly service from the server.
I had the Prawn pasta which was delicious.
Coffee was great.
I will be back.

Staff were very helpful.
Great tasting food too! I ordered the chicken pene the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce 👌👌👌
Jet Bar is not hidden at all, and showcases a classy fit out, animated by the busy working people of Sydney. Yet still allows for some classic dining. Their pasta's especially are ones that had to be made by a true Italian. You can Definetly tell! Will be returning for sure
Good coffee. Tasty cake but pricey for the slice. Service was good with comfortable seating. Features atmospheric seating on the side walk at QVB.
Nice open space to sit and have a drink (they have a good variety of drinks to select from). I have not eaten anything here so cannot comment on the cuisine, but the space is comfortable and the staff are friendly.
The service was pretty lax but reasonably friendly when we entered on a Saturday afternoon. We quickly ordered our coffee and some arancini balls (deep fried rice balls with peas, cheese and served with aioli, $14.50). The coffee was good, but the arancini were great! They were chunky, hot and reasonably cheesy (I could have done with more cheese, but then I always can!). The aioli was good as well, once again slightly more would have been nice.
This is a great place to people-watch, and the food seems to be pretty good.
I read a negative review the other day about jet bar and cafe and was completely flummoxed. Couldn't be further from the truth . Excellent food great service with a warm European ambience. I'm a returning customer because it's an urban treasure Can't recommend it more highly. A very happy camper !

Perched at the pretty end of the QVB, this is the kind of place I'd never usually review. You see, it's chock-a-block, even three days after a complete renovation. Half the people inside don't even seem aware that celebrated chef Danny Russo is behind the Italian-Australian menu. They're just here for an after-work coffee, or to fuel a girly shopping adventure. Danny's Classic Lasagne with Veal Ragu and Mozzarella ($19) will provide enough energy to combat both the QVB and Westfield Sydney ... ...but if you want to fit that bikini, the Cured Ocean Trout Carpaccio ($18) buried under radish, apple and cress, might be more appropriate. Though the slender ladies at the next table did bemoan the lack of cream on their Fettuccine with Prawns, Chilli, White Wine, Garlic and Rocket ($26) , perhaps they just chose the wrong dish? My Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni ($21) came with a dreamy, porcini sauce - wicked in all the right ways. Throw in a moreish side of Rocket, Fennel, Pine Nut and
Jet cafe was just like a private jet, fast and first class. We ordered the pizza and it was the best I've had and I visit Italy frequently!
Fantastic experience. Sorry to read about the last reviewers experience- couldn't have had a more opposite and better experience myself !!
Very helpful, friendly and courteous wait staff. Coffee was brilliant - nice and hot as requested and a tasty blend.
Great vibe in a very happening and beautiful part of the Sydney CBD -thoroughly recommended!
Great lunch. We all agreed it was the best pizza we'd ever had. Great location to meet for lunch before a function at the Town Hall. Easy access for my elderly parents and very reasonable prices. Thank you
Wow, where do I start?. Fantastic location! Went here when visiting Sydney with a group of friends. Ended up going back for more the next day. Friendly service from a great bunch of people. Awesome Pizzas! Tiramisu to die for!
Great spot, fantastic friendly staff and tiramisu to die for!
Always like Jet. Whenever I am in Sydney city I go to jet, even if its just for a cup of their fine coffee. Lunch or dinner too if I am there at that time, or just to meet up with friends. Service is always friendly and prompt. They are a popular cafe and often busy but always try to look after you. Food is good quality Italian cafe menu. The QVB building where they are is a great spot. Can't recommend it more highly.
Great food and great service! Had the Ravioli for lunch and it is amazing! Would highly recommend it to everyone.
Fantastic location 5 star food worlds best basket of hot crispy fresh chips not to mention the addictive pizza menu that keeps my friends and i going back for more..along with welcoming staff oustanding service. feels like im dining in europe love the set up...
Enjoy Yourself. In one of Sydney's most beautiful locations, beautiful service, drinks and food can be enjoyed at Jet Bar more than at any other place in the QVB. Every time I come by for a scotch, fries and a smoke, I am greeted with smiles, good conversation and prompt fulfilment of my order. I would recommend this place to anyone, both as a place to relax and as a perfect place to do tidbits of business. Truly, absolutely wonderful.
Regards,
Michael
In the heart of the CBD. Lovely staff who are beautiful and so attentive. The food was perfect! Just what we needed on a cool, rainy autumn night. A fantastic house red wine. We enjoyed more than one glass. We were out for a evening with friends, catching up over a more than ample array of pizzas and pasta. We sat for hours outside under the awning. I highly recommend to anyone.
Very good coffee and the service was professional.
The BEST place in Sydney!. I live in Los Angeles as an entertainer and return to Sydney twice a year and if I don't get my Jet fix I feel like somethings missing. Being street level and in the historic Queen Victoria Building, Jet bar Caffe is right in the heart of Sydney. It's across the way from the Town hall train station which makes it to me Sydney's most exciting restaurant / cafe. If you love people watching Jet is the place for you. It has recently been renovated which looks amazing. Great service, the food is to die for and the best coffee I ever have had. The staff are always to me very lovely. The place has such a great vibe and every time go I always feel welcomed and very comfortable. You wont be disappointed. Pardon the pun, but if your a jet setter like me JET is the go.
Excellent well-made house blend long black with top-notch customer service. Chips & garlic bread were a great snack and reports from colleague suggested the cappuccino left no doubt to the high standard of this establishment. And the music here was perfect cafe sounds. Other cafés could learn about ambience from Jet Bar Caffe.
We had breakfast at Jet while visiting Sydney. I quite liked the odd combination of curt and dismissive yet helpful staff - perhaps an authentic Sydney experience.
Don’t be put off by the generic Lavazza espresso, the coffee is made properly so tastes great!
Really delicious breakfast bruschetta - great flavours, freshest cherry tomatoes, good quality haloumi.
Stop by and check it out.
I have had breakfast here a number of times. Always a pleasant experience, despite it being very busy during peak times. Big serving sizes. Great for a lazy brunch; eat while watching the world go by. You can also get alcoholic beverages during breakfast (ie Bloody Mary, Mimosa, Espresso Martini, etc). Wonderful staff as well.
Delicious cake. Good coffee. The serving woman was delightful as well.
Would recommend for a catch up with a friend or a professional meeting.
The background music was great too.
