Rightfully or wrongly, my girlfriend loves thirsty bird. I think it's only OK. Pretty stock standard fried chicken. Only the pickles are special.
Crispy, salty and super greasy. Everything you want in a fried chicken. Waffle fries are also outstanding. Would definitely return for more.

Wow the burgers and fried chicken tick all the boxes. If you have a craving for southern fried you’d be crazy not to come in and try what they have to offer. Pricing is reasonable compared to other burger shops so no complaints
If you love fried chicken and big burgers then this is a must visit place for you. They are famous for the fried chicken which is far better in comparison to
What you get at KFC. For burgers I would recommend you to try Stinger burger and Big kahuna burger. Their chilly aoli and ranch sauces are very famous but I would recommend you to try the ghost chilly sauce (I love spicy sauces :)). For sides their waffle fries, tatter tots and mash gravy are to die for. All the dishes here have a unique appeal and I haven’t had any dish here which did not live up to the expectation.

Recommended dishes: spicy fried chicken, The stinger burger, waffle fries, tatter tots, chilli aoli sauce.
Repeatable: A Big Yes!
Crunchy, juicy, steaming hot chicken! A gem in Potts Point. Mac & cheese was also decent, but the chicken was definitely the highlight of the meal. Must-try!
I love Thirsty Bird, whenever I am in Potts POint that is my go to, now it is even better that Deliveroo works with them. The Original and spicy chicken is very tender and crunchy and the coleslaw is epic.
F**king delicious fried chicken burgers, and big too. Absolutely hit the spot after a few afternoon drinks, as I’m sure it does at anytime of the day 😁
You’d be forgiven for walking past and thinking this just another takeaway place in Kings Cross. However, they’re serving up some solid pieces of fried chicken.
Been here a couple times now. The wings are great, and the burgers are even better. Great crunch from the coating, and still incredibly juicy inside. Do yourselves a favour if you’re in the area
Great for a post-drinks feed or whatever excuse you can think of really… 3x pieces of ORIGINAL southern fried chicken and 1 sauce of your choice (roast chilli is recommended!!) $13. Katsu burger – Japanese crumbed chicken, kewpie mayo (glorious stuff), cabbage, tonkatsu sauce $13. There is barely any seating so good for a quick feed or to takeaway. Staff were attentive.
Finally hit up Thirsty Bird after reading all the reviews about the chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a crunchy well spiced coating and succulent meats. The spicy mayo sauce paired up beautifully with the chicken. I went with the $14 meal option (2 pieces, sauce, side) however would recommend getting fries over the coleslaw which was a bit lacklustre. The mac&cheese was pretty good, tho a bit more watery than I’d like. Overall, great chicken and I’d definitely come back!!!
The southern fried chicken burger was the highlight for me. The meat was juicy and the outside coating was satisfyingly crunchy. We also ordered the chicken deal with 2 pieces of chicken, waffle fries and chilli aioli. All around great meal, but be wary as the food here is definitely on the heavy side.
Beautiful burgers chicken is boneless and super crunchy and crispy. Warm not hot. Tater tots are delicious. Best fried chicken burger joint in Sydney in my opinion. Recommend/10
One of the best chicken burgers you can get in Sydney. That biz is so crispy on the outside and juicy AF on the in. Nice long bun. Big burger. It is small and slamming at night on the weekend. Once when I was there with a mate a small very drunk Irishman tried to steal some of our potato gems which seemed thematically on song and added some extra fun to the night. You will defs encounter weird units if you go late. All part of the fun. Well worth the crunch joy.
A good amongst men in the chicken game..
Always a winner
I got the katsu and the stinger with added gravy and cheese, easily one of my favourite places in Sydney to eat especially after a few drinks..
Thumbs and wings UP. Awesome fried chicken. We got the 2 piece + side + sauce and it was finger licking-ly good. The Colonel would be proud. I love that they have wet wipes as well.
The chicken here tastes different to the other places in Sydney I think because of the marinate? The meat has a great depth of flavour and was succulent AF.
A must visit for chicken lovers! Perfectly made and flavoured fried chicken goes well with their many sauces or their burgers ...
If only the place was a big bigger with more seating available as it is always packed with tons of customers
Ordered a southern fried chicken burger via ubereats at late night. The food arrived nice and warm and crunchy still. Pretty impressed by the quality of the takeaway. Happy!
It was my first visit and I ordered their original fried chicken, tater tots and southern burger.
Fried chicken: crispy and delicious without being greasy. I love the fact that it’s not that salty like most fried chicken.
Tater tots: crispy, crunchy and yum!
Southern burger: pretty good but I found the bun tasting a little bit off.
I’ve been to a lot of fried chicken joints but thirsty bird is definitely hands down by far my favorite. The burgers are amazing, the chicken pieces are so juicy and full of flavor. Mac and cheese here is beautiful and you must order coleslaw with your chicken, goes so well together. If it wasn’t so far from me I would definitely be there weekly
I’m not going to lie, I came here on a Sat night after a few drinks for a good feed. Oh My Gosh the chicken is amazing. I had the katsu burger with waffle fries. The chicken is so white and juicy and the outside is golden, crunchy perfection. The waffle fries were fun for a change and cooked perfectly.
The portion sizes are really large which is awesome and the man behind the counter was so polite and lovely even on a Sat night in Kings Cross.
Locate near kings cross station , this shop is serving huge portion of very good fried chicken and burgers. I always go for their burgers, which are huge and very tasty. The chicken is their specialty and you can feel it. It is very tender and juicy. I also love their mac n cheese side . It is fun to change from the classic fries.
I do agree when they say, this is the best fried chicken in Sydney!!! Their waffle cut fries served with ranch sauce is on spot too!!! Tater tots are always magical with tomato sauce. Their southern fried chicken burger is just as great as the fried chicken. Glad that their service is quick and servings are huge! New comfort food for me.

When Scotty recommended to try out thirsty bird claiming it was the "best fried chicken" I will have... I absolutely had to. We headed down (along with Ellen- sydneyfoodwhore) and we were not dissapointed!! We had both the original and the hot and spicy and both were amazing. I don't think I have ever had such juicy chicken in my life.... and the outside. OH MY! So crispy, cooked to perfection and filled with flavour!! The hot and spicy one almost tasted like it had hints of paprika (I'm no flavour genius, it's just what it tasted like to me) and it was incredible! We paired it with ranch sauce and the roast chilli sauce but they honestly didn't even need it! Will definitely be returning!
I heard wonderful things about how finger licking good the fried chicken here was & I knew i had to try it for myself. Honestly, the fried chicken lived up to my expectations. Ordered the two piece meal deal with a side of mac n cheese w/ bacon. The chicken was fried to perfection and was super juicy and mouth watering. It looked so good, i forgot to take any pictures of how good it was to share! I just wanted to dig in ASAP. The mac N cheese was also great, with a bit of garlicy-ness and crispyness on the top. We finished the meal and left super satisfied. Would come here again for fried chicken whenever i'm in the area!
Reading from the other reviews, i'm guessing it is a hit or miss on how well the chicken is fried. I went on a saturday, a bit after the lunch time rush. On my occassion, i found the chicken was fried fresh and to the right crispyness.
Used Uber Eats to get the Zinger Burger and Nuggets delivered to my hotel room! Yummy HUGE burger! Loved nuggets more, I could just settle for these alone! Generous serve and couldn't finish. Perfect fast food for me tonight, miserable and suffering from mofo head cold on a work trip to Sydney... feeling sick is the pitts on Pitt Street 😆
Well the focus on chicken (pieces, burgers, wings, nothing else except sides) leads to great tender chicken and the coating is tasty. It's very crumbly though and hard to eat the chicken pieces - I think the burgers would work a lot better. The ranch sauce didn't do much and the watery mac and cheese had cheap cheese and no spicing. Really not sure if the prices are justified but if I'd just gotten a burger and nothing else, I'd probably be very happy with it.
Without a doubt the best fried chicken in Sydney! Wish there was more seating to enjoy the meal. Chicken was crunchy and juicy! Loved the waffle fries along with the sauce.
They have really crunchy and juicy fried chicken.I often have spicy one with chilli aioli. I found that it was too salty couple of times recently.
Love the crunchy batter on the chicken! So crunchy!
I stumbled onto this chicken shop by accident as I was googling the internet. We deliberately drove here as the reviews sounded good. The pictures were enticing too so we decided to make it a date.
Thirsty Bird is located near the infamous Coca Cola sign at Potts Point. It is a very small shop with a simple colourful neon sign with very limited indoor seating, not ideal for a sit down lunch with friends. We decided not to stay and have the food taken away.
We ordered buffalo wings, Mac and cheese with bacon, 4 pieces of chicken (X2 spicy, X2 original) with BBQ sauce, Southern burger with a side of waffle fries.
The buffalo wings were okay, not very spicy. It wasn't juicy. I preferred a bit more sauce on the wings as well. The Mac and cheese was a nice surprise with a crunchy topping - tasted like bread crumbs on top. I liked the combination of the softness of the pasta and the crunch from the topping - moreish. The pasta was cooked well - nice and soft. The flavors were nice and mild, the bacon gave it that slight salty flavour. The chicken pieces were crunchy! Loved the crunch factor! It wasn't very moist but meat was soft. The spicy pieces did not disappoint in the heat factor and the flavors were nice but some parts of the chicken had too much paprika. The BBQ sauce was moreish, sweet and smokey flavoured. Also tasted good with the fries. I enjoyed the waffle fries. Big crunchy pieces of potato but I preferred more seasoning salt. The Southern burger had a thick crunchy piece of chicken on a bed of slaw sandwiched between a brioche roll. I enjoyed the crunch from the chicken, slaw and toasted roll. Flavours were good and it was a big serving.
I would come back for the food but only if I was in the area.
My recent obsession for fried chicken led me to this little place in kings cross.I loved the Southern Fried Chicken here, perfect crisp, not too dry and the burger I had was simple and saucy. Blue cheese dip was also very interesting, reminds me of Chinese fuyu (fermented bean curd) and went really well with the fried chicken, but only the fried chicken. We also ordered sides of potato and gravy (highly recommend) and the waffle fries. The waffle fries were very weighty, the chewy texture made me question whether or not it was made of potato at all but hey I loved it.
Wish I'd nommed on some pickles.
It's a pity the shop is so small with little seating and feeding space, more of a take away kinda place.
Why should you go here: The best crispy and moist chicken - ever!
Portion size: Large
Customer service: Quick and fast
Dinning experience: Small space but many people take away
Value for money: Decent
I ordered the 3 piece pack (hot and spicy) with (roast chili) sauce. This was a good portion for a quick bite and also included some pickles which was nice!
Came across this gem on uber eats -
Best juicy wangs I've ever had!
Killing it with providing fine ass gems and the potato and gravy.
Had some mates try the spicy chicky burgs and apparently she's steamin'.
Mac and cheese as I remember was pretty mad too. 👍
Best fried chicken ever! Unfortunately I've moved to Melbourne so I'm hoping ya'll start considering expanding. Please, for the love of all things fired and holy!?!!
I LOVE my fried chicken and it doesn't get much better than Thirsty Bird. It's not uncommon once you try this place to have frequent cravings, and find yourself making a detour to Thirsty Bird on the way home from work or a night out. It is best eaten fresh and onsite, however, delivered is still a treat!
Not unlike the burger battles, a fried chicken phenomenon seems to be sweeping Sydney and I think I’ve found the holy grail. An unassuming UberEats order from Thirsty Bird left me pleasantly surprised. It’s tender, and soft and tasty. The outside is crispy and crunchy, and can be eaten deliciously on its own to save the meat for later. The pieces are mostly deboned, and come with dill pickles not dissimilar to Polish ogorki.
The coleslaw looks deceivingly creamy, but it’s tangy and perfect for cutting through any guilty feelings you may have of eating your favourite foods fried. The aioli is garlicky and creamy and perfect for the waffle fries. The star of the show though, is the roast chilli sauce. It’s a little tomato-ey, a little bit tart and a little bit spicy. It also makes good friends with the aioli for your waffle fries.
The waffle fries are only disappointing in the fact the serving is so small. Incredibly moreish, there have a crunch and still manage to leave the potato soft inside.
My friend had strongly recommended this place after she tried their fried chicken. And she was not wrong! This is definitely one of the best fried chicken in Sydney. The meat was nice & juicy, while the outside was crunchy & crispy. Non was it too oily. The spices were just right. We also tried their buffalo wings, definitely not as good. It was coated in a cheese seasoning/spice. They were a bit over fried & a bit dried, really not that enjoyable. The place also have very limited seating, mainly caterer for takeaways & the popular food delivery services.
Incredibly crunchy, incredibly moist and fairly priced. This fried chicken has so much going for it, I don't know where to start. The buttermilk marination helps to breakdown that chicken to its tender form, and that coating has decent volume and crunch.
I've dined at Thirsty Bird over 10 times in the last few months and I've only had one instance where the salt was too overpowering. Most of the times, the seasoning is perfect but the average tends to be a bit higher on the salt. That said, the seasoning doesn't feel overpowering and doesn't dominate the flavour of the marinated chicken. The meat is so tender, it easily breaks off and doesn't require much munching to gobble it down. I highly recommend ordering a side of sauce. While they do have a variety that'll keep the chicken+sauce combinations interesting, I stick to the chilli aioli. The sauce is rich and dense and perfectly complements the chicken meat (I tend to eat the crunchy skin first and then dip the meat in the sauce).
Thirsty bird has an excellent fried chicken product that is well worth a try. The prices are very reasonable (I usually get the 3 pieces + sauce for $13) and there's a great set of sides to chose from. I'm always on the search for great fried chicken and this place is definitely on my list. Next time you've got those fried chicken cravings, I recommend you come here. This place does not disappoint.
Really really good fried chicken. I got the stinger which had a nice note without overpowering it. Slaw was sweet and crunchy. Service wasn't too great and they could use more seating but the food was amazing

How does it compare?
Chicken is boned (as it should be), batter is as good as it can be, juiciness is just below Mary's and flavor is more tasty than Belles hot chicken. It's better than Hot Star but hard to compare with Korean fried chicken (e.g., sparrows mill) given their abundance of seasoning (personal preference really). I strongly recommend ordering it chicken as the rest is...well sides (if you know what I mean).
Price
Worth it.
Dining
It is basically a takeaway joint with minimal seating and space.
Getting there
Parking will be tricky so tag team it.
Nice place that is super popular for locals. I ate the southern chicken burger and it was delicious and flavoursome. The food is prepared quickly and don't be surprised if there is a queue of people lining up.
very good cheap eat, major bargain at 9 bucks for approximately 11 pieces of wings (a piece being a drummette or wing). Taste wise it was pretty decent and tasty.
definitely recommend for a quick and cheap feed. will defo revisit for the fire dchicken
Mr Crackles gets away with minimal seating because people could dodge drunks stumbling down Oxford street eating a roll and you would have thought that the owners would have caught on that people would like a little seating to enjoy their food. However, it appears that both concepts have no room for diners and strictly wants take away. And judging by the fact there were four Foodora cyclist readily waiting to deliver the food, this concept was not about to change. People visiting be warned that there is a tiny bench smaller than Mr Crackles that seats 5 people and good luck finding a bench along Darlinghurst road to eat your chicken pieces.
Overlooking the little inconvience of being able to eat the food at the location, everything else is positive. Just like Mr Crackles, Thirsty Bird has really got their signature product and the the art of the Southern Fried Chicken down pat. Butter milk soaked chicken is fried mega crunchy with super moist flesh to match. You couldn't ask for a better cooked piece of fried chicken and the generous side of gherkins was a welcomed condiment to cut through the fat. I normally hate chicken breast but the piece given to me was juicy and glisteningly moist even though it was a big piece that I was only too happy to finish - well done! The spice seasoning may be lacking but there are some sauces to choose to compensate. The ghost chilli sauce rated 3 chilli symbols caught my eye but after the server asked me if I was sure I wanted it with a wry smile to his face, I chickened out as I wanted to really taste the chicken and batter on my first visit here rather than having my sense of taste destroyed on the first dip.
The Mac and Cheese was a bit bland and overcooked. The waffle fries were crispy and light. My friend enjoyed the burger alot so it looked like food got the big thumbs up from my group of 6 friends who by sheer luck was fortunate to occupy their entire dining area. I could not say a bad word about the food and put the chicken itself on par with Belles and Butter with only slight variations in their sauces. The standout sauce for me was Franks Hot Sauce which was tangy and hot without being sweet and something you could not get at the other places.
A tiny store with a really awkward bench height and short stool combo. The chicken here is great! A great crunch with tender meat. I had the Southern Burger Meal deal (one southern burger + side + drink) for $19. The burger itself is kind of more like a roll but the bun is pretty dense, the slaw is average and the sauce is nice. Mac and cheese has a layer of garlic bread crumbs over the top and the Mac and cheese has a good flavour but nothing special. Overall a decent meal but very overpriced!
Probably the best fried chicken I have ever tasted, Mac n cheese is also super yum. Been a few times and the only negative is the staff (sometimes).
Definitely better than KFC!
There's something about their tasty and crunchy skin. It was somewhat full of spices. Great flavor.
Waffle fries was pretty good, just okay.
Had roast chilli sauce, wasn't hot for me. Little sweet. Went well with the waffle fries.
The kings of pork crackling have taken their adventure down the road to a modest sized take-out, serving good old fashioned Southern fried chicken and OMG, it's good!
For $13 you get 2 pieces of fried chicken, 1 side and 1 sauce; which proved to be much more substantial than it sounded. The crispy chicken batter was one of the best I've ever had and really showcased the buttermilk taste that is paramount to a good southern chook. In contrast, the flesh was ridiculously juicy and moist, that it was almost hard to believe. The secret I hear, is their 24hr slow chill before frying.
Although the chicken was perfectly cooked and adequately seasoned, I couldn't recognise any notable hints of herbs and spices. This was a little disappointing, as it resulted in a somewhat flat flavoured meat. With that said, it was still a pleasure to bite into and the side of sauce certainly amped up the voltage.
Mac and cheese with bacon was served warm and showcased a thin crust of cheese. Admittedly, I have never been a fan of this dish and was hoping they could change my mind. The serving here was a tad too dry so unfortunately my bias continues. Would definitely be keen to go back and try their burgers though!
Ordered a whole chook with coleslaw and mash & gravy. The mash & gravy was superb! The slaw was light and fresh which matched well with the rather heavily battered chicken. The chicken itself was very crispy, the crispiest of all the slew of fried chicken places around. It's so crispy that after an overnight in the fridge the leftover could still gave out a good crunch.
I think the chicken was a bit under seasoned though, not as plain as Butter but not as bold as Mary's or Belle. Frank's hot sauce was sour rather than hot. So either put more spices and chilli on the chicken or some real hot sauce will make it great.
Their Southern Fried Chicken burger was good, but not great. The chicken was a bit too hard and a bit too dry, but still tasty after a night out on an empty stomach. Very convenient location right next to Kings Cross Station and down the road from World Bar.
Had their southern fried chicken burger that came with slaw and their special sauce. It lookes like a roll instead of a burger actually, but the bun was soft and held the crunchy chicken, the slaw, and the sauce nicely. Had 2 pieces of fried chicken and waffle fries with chili aioli on the side, I'd say the chicken was seasoned, crunchily fried and yet still juicy on the inside.
Great fried chicken as a contender in the new fried chicken movement. Crisp, crunchy and definitely not greasy. Sides menu is great and waffle fries are a reminder of childhood. Love the American drinks on offer. Will be a repeat Thirsty Bird convert!
Deliciously cooked fried chicken. Had the southern fried chicken burger with bacon and cheese, and it was absolutely heaven. Chicken was moist and juicy in the middle, and the batter was crunchy and delicious. Lives up to the hype, for sure!

There were whispers in the shadow that a mythical being had surfaced...emerging from the kitchens of a new establishment known as Thirsty Bird.
I was finally able to try this place and went and ordered the pack that comes with two pieces of chicken and a choice of side. I thought the chicken that came out didn't look amazing or anything. But when I bit into the chicken it was everything I was looking for. The meat: super juicy and tender. The skin: well coated and very much crispy yet easy to bite into. The flavour: a savoury taste that made we want more. Combine that with the sauces they have made for an experience I would come back for.
The sides they offered were pretty good too. The waffle fries were well cooked and fluffy inside. The Mac and cheese was also a big hit.
Everyone should go try this place and see if you can spot any horned, equine creatures there.

OMG wow! I tried their southern burger yesterday and it was one of the best chicken burgers I've come across. The chicken was crispy and juicy in the middle. The bun was nice & soft and the coleslaw a perfect accompaniment. I'm definitely going back to try everything else on the menu!
Thirsty Bird, another of the smoking new fried chicken joints in Sydney. Recently I visited and couldn't decide between plain fried chicken or the Southern Fried Chicken Burger, so, I got both.
Firstly, the fried chicken... Delicious!! So crispy and greasy, cooked perfectly, some of the best fried chicken I've had!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!😍😍😍
Now, the Southern Fried Chicken Burger, but for added protein, I got a double fillet. OK so I ignored all warnings that this is already a massive burger by adding a second fillet and hmm maybe I got two average sized fillets but neither of mine seemed to match any of these massive ones I've seen in photos prior. Taste wise, great! Like the chicken pieces perfectly crunchy and spiced, served with slaw on a soft bun. No complaints however if I had to rank this against the Juicy Lucy Burger or Butter's Fried Chicken Sandwich, this would beat Butter but Juicy would be the ultimate victor!
Thirsty is undoubtedly deserving the rave reviews they're getting however I think any serious fried chicken lover needs to check out all three of the new joints (Butter, Juicy Lucy) before making a call as to the best of the new boys!
Great concept. A little underwhelmed with the chicken. Appearance and chicken meat was bang on, crunchy on the outside and juicey on the inside. Downers for me were the batter was too thick and under seasoned. Waffle fries were delicious. Potato and gravy OK. Thought the potato tasted a little to powdery. Mac and Cheese pretty good. Might return to try a burger and more waffle fries!
Popped back in for burgers and their rotisserie chicken and still satisfyingly great. Love the difference in n flavour a, a more conventional burger and an asiany flavoured rotisserie chook. Garlic oil rice with the bird is an aromatic good time
I couldnt be happier. Waited 3 weeks to try this chicken... having had it, i regret wasting the first three weeks waiting. It is, hands down, the best damn chicken i have had. that southern burger is the business and the chicken pieces are on point. Makes miss Peaches in newtown taste like 3 day old KFC. The ONLY reason I docked half a star is the the limited delivery. I only came across this page by being online to search for ways to get thirsty bird delivered. do yourself a favour. go there.
It's really good. It's a really small place, not a great atmosphere, but there's a line out the door every night and once you have the food you'll know why. The chicken is super moist, soft bread, flavorful sauce, and waffle fries...Well, you just can't beat waffle fries. I was skeptical, thinking it was just a little hole-in-the-wall. I was wrong. Food is excellent. Will return.

First there was Mr Crackles. Now we have Thirsty Bird. The folks behind Mr Crackles have expanded to a second outlet, moving their attention from (predominantly) pork to chicken. It's no surprise that their obsession with crunch - have you had their incredible crackling roast pork rolls? - has translated to poultry's version of crack: Southern fried chicken.
So one of Sydney’s most beloved foodie institutions; the rather jolly good Mr Crackles has added to sydney’s Fried Chicken scene with a slyly special joint called Thirsty Bird. Unlike Mr Crackles which was mostly porcine centric (great roast vegs incidentally with a great pumpkin roll) Thirsty Bird is completely chicken centric. If the phrase “Fried Chicken by Mr Crackles” does not excite you a little, you’re dead to us. Housed at Shop 3, 2-14 Bayswater Road – the venue beckons wih some sexy neon. Look for the really busy shop on that stretch and that’s thirsty bird there.
Recommended by a friend who lives in Newtown. It DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Delicious crunchy juicy chicken, friendly and prompt service. We had lunch and bought takeaway for dinner. One can never have too much good fried chicken.
Will definitely be back when in the area!
Super duper crispy coating on the exterior; juicy and tender on the interior. If you're after a cheat meal or just some fried chicken after a night out on the town, this is the place. My favourites are their "Stinger" burger, "Nuggets", and "Mash and Gravy".
I got a Yankee with Blue Cheese sauce and it was amazing. Succulent, tasty and fast service. I'll definitely go back. Yew!
I haven't lived in Sydney, or Australia for that matter in over five years. I live in the Southwest USA now. Today I am quietly huffing and sulking my way through a random craving for thirsty bird fried chicken. Absolutely incredible fried chicken. I miss it. I should have went more often. Thanks guys. I hate you.
I am a massive fan of chicken nuggets, and the ones I've had at Thirsty Bird are by far the best. Great portion size and selection of sauces. The BBQ sauce was fantastic. Thank you :)
I ordered four pieces of hot chicken and blue cheese sauce. The chicken was super crunchy and still juicy, there was a strong amount of heat and this matched perfectly with the blue cheese sauce.
Next time I'll just do three pieces, four was a bit much but I was not complaining getting through the fourth piece. Friendly service and plenty of hand sanitiser available.
Had the 2 pieces + 1 side + 1 sauce combo for takeaway. The chicken was real crispy outside but even the white meat remained tender and succulent inside. Ranch was classic but would try blue cheese next time. Bacon mac and cheese were decent with some intriguing crispy bits on the top.
I go to Sydney solely for their chicken. It is possibly the best fried chicken I have ever had. 3 pieces and a sauce is all I need. No need for the sides (which are also yummy) because the chicken is to die for.
