Pleasant family run cafe with a nice selection of all day breakfast items. Ordered a large coffee but by mistake only received a regular, very apologetic and even offered an extra coffee on the house.
Great coffee, and great pastries. We went here three times over four days because it was so yummy. Would recommend for anybody as the range of food available was vast
The best cafe in Glebe for me. The coffee is awesome and people are really lovely. It has cozy atmosphere, too. I will definitely visit again.
Awesome little caffe in the heart of Glebe. Cozy ambience with lovely staff and a Barista who is passionate about his coffee. The food is nothing short of exceptional with the flavours of traditional Italy in every bite. Certainly without a doubt a must try and like me you will surely return. Well done guys the bar is set high and am sure you will maintain the high standards in every aspect. Highly Highly recommend.
A great little local café, serving arguably the best coffee in Glebe. If you've ever spent time in Italy, you'll know what I mean! The pastries are delicious; especially anything with ricotta inside. The ambience and welcome are warm and friendly, even when the place is busy, which it often is. Sitting outside in the sunshine, enjoying a freshly-made piadina is one of the real joys of living in Glebe. Note to the woman who accused the staff of being so rude: It's not acceptable to take up valuable table space to eat the food you brought from home - in ANY cafe! They're running a business and have every right to ask you to leave. Suggest you go eat in the park next time...
One of my favourite Italian cafes in Glebe! You're guaranteed an authentic Italian breakfast. Piadina for lunch, toasted to perfection. The coffee is delicious and you're always greeted by the friendly Italian owners.
Il Cortile is the epitome of that Glebe vibe we love. Its quiet and quaint and has that beautiful village feel. Step into Il Cortile and you'll feel like you're stepping into a laneway in Italy. The staff are friendly and greet you immediately once in sight with nothing but pure warmth. Its a narrow and long cafe typical of Glebe and decor and atmosphere leave it feeling quite cosy. There's tables out front to people watch from the quieter end of Glebe Point. The coffee is a strong and creamy brew.
I come here for my first ever piadina - as I hear they are amazing. They're also something you don't often see. There's a good range available, with a menu not dissimilar to something you'd see at your local traditional pizza joint. I opt for the special - bresaola, zucchini and ricotta, minus semi dried tomatoes. Piadina is essentially an italian flat bread, lightly folded and toasted, with simple fillings inside. The filings are hot, the bresaola is tasty among the creamy ricotta. Its a light meal but deliciously satisfying.
Alongside piadina, they also do some healthier, lighter options, and even have fresh made juices. The coffee and piadina however is a satisfying staple, and you won't need to look further.

Roaming the streets of Glebe Pt, came across this nook of a cafe three quarters of the way down this long eating strip. A long narrow cafe near the bus stop that could easily be missed if you're not on the lookout.
When you walk in, you suddenly feel like you are in southern Italy sipping on coffee and dreaming the day away. This place has a real dreamy element to it. Loaves of bread hanging on the and lots of tantalising pastries displayed at the front of the cafe in their glass cabinet display.
We decided to sit down and have breakfast here. Ordered their fruit sourdough and Dolce ricotta. Yum.
Though I get this place is more of a take out kind of joint rather than a sit down kind of do. Or was it the fact that, this particular morning, more take away was the order of the day? Who knows but it was pleasant basking in the atmosphere of this narrow and hidden cafe.
Enjoyed my breakfast here and will be coming back for some of their yummy looking flaky pastries.
What a great local cafe. We have been coming here since it opened. Great coffee, great cafe fare and very good service. We especially love the Piadina, Tomato Bruschetta and the coffee. Our kids love the Nutella pastries.
Our weekend ritual.. We go to this place every weekend. It really is great. Great coffee (my favourite in Glebe) and food and it doesn't break the bank either. Super friendly staff too. You will not be disappointed..
Fantastic!!!. This tiny cafe gets it right everytime! friendly & genuine service, delicious & affordable food. As longtime residents of Glebe we had become entirely disillusioned with the once famous 'eat street' of Glebe Pt Rd & usually eat elsewhere. Il Cortile has brought us back!
A Glebe favourite. Sonia and Andrea work hard to produce consistent and delicious food and coffee. Cafe is open from 6am so perfect for early risers. Many regular customers which shows the quality of Il Cortile.
They got it right. This new little business is working hard to get it right. Not easy when you think about just how many coffee shops get it wrong in Glebe.
This hard working young couple deserve high praise, he makes great coffee and the girls Andrea and Sonia make fantastic pastries. The little wooden cabinet by the coffee machine is full of Italian delights like sfogliatelle, light, super crispy and fresh, so to Aragostina. Lovely homemade cakes sit on the counter and croissants and toasted flatbreads bursting with Italian parma ham, salami and melt in the mouth cheeses.
Reliably adorable.

Lovely family run cafe, friendly service with good coffee. Panadinas on offer are a nice alternative to your standard Aussie breakfast and have a health benefit too. I come here most mornings, sometimes twice.
Beautiful friendly people, excellent service, delicious food, best coffee every time. My favourite cafe by far I would highly recommend to all
We stay 3 nights in the Hotel close to the shop and had breakfast in this little cafe. It was great, the cappuccino was one of the best we ever had. People were very nice and even gave us (after we asked) some advices where to go in Sydney.
We really can recommend this place to go.
Greatings form the german couple :)
I love this caffè. It is probably my favourite in Sydney.
Not only do they make a proper latte (and the number of places I have found in Sydney capable of this can be counted on one hand), but the hosts are warm and friendly. The decor is delightful as well, and I especially love the tap in the wall so you can help yourself to water.
Very good food...wonderful flavors and fresh. Just wish there was a bigger selection.
Amazing Coffee, Fantastic food but the main reason this place is top notch is the service! You're greeted like an old friend every time you come in. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!

It's a twee place, going the rustic rural look with loads of francophile elements scattered around. The furniture is made of worked iron and wood like picket fences turned table/chairs and are a little wobbly, but that's part of the charm. The coffee was eminently satisfying, and I found the ambiance to be very enjoyable. A nice place to while away 30 min reading or conversing with a friend. Recommended.
