Gou Sushi - Sydney - Photo album

Very good cuisine. Food was very fresh. Quality for value is great! We had the agedashi tofu, vegetable roll, prawn tempura roll, chicken katsu roll and the gobo chips. Would recommend
So I have read a lot of good reviews about this restaurant so I wanted to try. The food was good but average, nothing special. I was expecting much more. The price was a little overpriced and no more sushi train( as I saw sushi train in the pictures). Anyway it was good but I wouldn't come back.
Went for the first time having heard so much for such a long time - it’s hard to catch them on any given day as they only do lunch on certain days and omakase on certain nights. Walked in with no booking - wasn’t too busy. Sat down and ordered pretty quick but it was a long wait for food - probably
The food here is really good, it’s less busy than another local Japanese place I won’t name, but it’s so much better. Good sushi, good curry udon, good small dishes like crispy salmon skin and takoyaki. Service is nice too.
(4.5 stars) Joining the ranks of Sydney’s Japanese omakase specialists, Gou Sushi Sydney, is offering a $108/person menu Thursday to Saturday nights. With just fourteen people seated counter style around the chef, this sushi-focussed offering gives you the opportunity to watch how each item is made
Highly recommend the Omakase here. Great attention to detail and great down to earth style omakase, which is rare in Sydney.
Food was really good. Traditional Japanese sushi vs fusion sushi, very well mixed. Chef was very friendly. Will revisit again for sure.
Had omakase here, it’s cheap compare to the others but not really worth it, better spend more and get the real deal. It’s just a regular sushi stop.
