Came here for lunch. Loved the food, everything was very wholesome and fresh and this place is packed (no surprise) during lunch hour. A bit on the pricey side but what can you expect when you are close to Barangaroo? ;) Pork belly had the salty crunch I was looking for.
Good coffee and a great place to pick up a hearty lunch. The pork belly and slow cooked beef brisket lunch boxes are delicious, filling and quickly carved to order.
We came here for a work lunch, i walk past this place every day and there are also a huge line up waiting for coffee in the morning.
If you want a strong cup of coffee this is the place to go, unfortunately i am not a strong coffee drinker, my coffee was so strong i had to put sugar (which is something I dont normally do).
I had the pork crackling bun,it was $9 but it was the best thing ever. The pork was tender, fatty and succulent whilst the crackling... oh man its some good crackling. My colleagues got the standard avo smash and panini, it looked alright but I wouldnt order those dishes when there is perfect pork and crackling.
Perfect Lunch!! I got the Pork Box!! Pork Crackling, Slaw, Brown Rice.. perfect lunch!! Busy spot at lunch but it makes sense why.. make ur way to this great place!! Can not fault this place!!
Walking from Barangaroo to Regent place and we went past Pavel around 3pm - noticed they had a cheeseburger.but was really just keen for caffeine. Was nice, a little bit bitter but not unpleasant.
Since this place is right next to my work I often stop by. I've also spent more than I dare to imagine here on coffee (which is quite nice) and muffins (which are nice but only in the mornings when they've just come out of the oven. I like the ricotta one).
Anyway, I've been about three times for lunch. They sell sandwiches/rolls with your choice of meat filling (pork/lamb/chicken) and a gremolata, and optional side salads. The pork is tasty but a lot of oil seeps into the bread (inevitable, I guess) & the lamb is pretty good but not as tasty as the pork. Alternatively you can get meat in a box with salad (but this is crazy expensive, not worth it). Overall it is a bit on the pricey side, but hey, when you're opposite a bank I suppose you can get away with it.
Kudos for being there on rainy days with coffee and a warm muffin.
Ordered a large amount of burgers (a mix of beef and chicken) and fries for a lunch conference. Burgers were great and enjoyed all-round; great tangy sauces and well cooked meat. Chips were very average, could have done with some more salt. Says on the website that they're curly fries but are just regular thin fries (not a major complaint but site should be updated). I've also ordered the mushroom breakfast burger in the past, which although fell apart easily tasted pretty good. The man who served me in the morning was a bit stern, but the lady who helped with pickup (real Aussie accent) was a legend. Would like to come back and try some of their roast meats and pastry.
This is my local lunch time spot, pretty much at the foot at my building. Despite convenience the service is really quick and consistent every time I've been. I really like the quality of meat and the flavour they use their boxes. I feel that the panini's lack a little bit of finesse and flair and it's often not enough as a meal.
Otherwise the staff are always friendly and the food is always good.
Not a big fan of the order at the counter method of service especially in a place that is clearly doing well. None the less, there a bit to like about Pavel & Co. Nice decor, solid coffee and a good choice breakfast menu. I had the double baked granola with shredded apple which was very tasty and surprisingly filling. The piece of flourless orange poppyseed cake I ordered was relegated to later in the morning and was a good also.
good coffee, gets busy in the morning (I only come past here when I get off at Wynyard so not the most frequent of customers_. Cant judge them on their food because I've never eaten here but the menu looks enticing
Awesome lunch spot, particularly on a Friday when you're ready to crush some brisket or a burger and refuse to work for the rest of the day. Made the mistake of trying to get a good workout in after eating here--not going to happen.
The brisket, pork, and lamb are all good. The prawns are excellent as well, but I wished that there were a few more that came with the order.
I had been told multiple times to try the cheeseburger but never wanted to sacrifice my brisket day for a burger and definitely glad I did. This is one of the best burgers I've had so far in Sydney.
If you're thinking of trying this place out, just ask yourself "Do I like good food?". If the answer is "Yes", then walk in and try ANYTHING off the menu. I don't think I've ever left Pavel & Co disappointed before. EVER. Whether it's the roast chicken, the salmon or the pork (with some of that crackling, of course!), they deliver consistently good quality food. On top of that, the staff are incredibly friendly and always have time to share a chat or exchange a smile.
LOVE this place!! I'm slowly working my way thru their menu too.
The Pork Box is definitely my favourite. There is always a generous amount of crackling which is always crunchy. The salad and sauce complement the pork and are full of flavour.
If you work down this end of the city, definitely check this place out for lunch.
Love popping past here on my morning commute to grab a yummy energy ball. The staff are lovely and service is quick! I need to come here for lunch, the salad and box menus looks great.
Great place in the city for a quick coffee and bite to eat. Their breakfast options are quick, cheap and delicious ($7 for a mushroom brioche bun with goats cheese, crispy kale and beetroot relish), and the lines outside for takeaway coffee are a good indication of its quality. Have yet to try their lunchtime rolls with slow cooked meats - but you can see everything cooking over the rotisserie from the early morning hours.
I love this place- It is close to my work so I come here for breakfast almost everyday. I recommend the avocado on toast and the mushroom brioche. I also love love love their coffee. I order it on the beat the Q app and it is there waiting for me. They also have a great muffin selection and the flavors change daily.
I am also a big fan of their lunch boxes, in particular their lamb and roast chicken boxes.
If you're in the area check it out.
Overall I will say I was disappointed. I really wanted that cheeseburger. I later found out my mate had beat me there and had order a double cheeseburger, and i’m thinking he was the cause of my dilemma. Either way I still went home hungry and unsatisfied at the end of the day, but i’ll be back next week to try my luck.

I thought this burger would have to be pretty spectacular as it’s on the regular menu at Pony’s, but I probably a little let down after their amazing paninis. While it was a classic cheeseburger in all respects with all the elements, I didn’t really “connect” with my burger and find it mind-blowing. Despite the patty being made of Blackmore Wagyu, it was almost too-charred and under-seasoned for me. It was a good medium-rare though.
Burger was delicious. Panini looks great. Will be back to try other items on the menu.
Great hidden cafe that is close to barangaroo but quiet enough so there are no queues. Food is reasonable priced and ambience is great. Staff are super friendly and place is clean. Good selection of food.
Good coffee and friendly staff. I really enjoyed my The Classic egg and bacon panini, my wife had the breakfast, unfortunately no sausage available and her poached eggs were solid so one star off, sorry.
I'm definitely a big fan of this gem in the CBD. I pretty much go there every day - coffee is a must and food is delicious. It's this simple!
Damn, I can’t get enough of the roast pork panini from this joint! Actually; I can’t get enough of everything that they create here. The food is fresh, large portioned and extremely tasty. The prices are a bit higher but what do you expect for great quality as well as being situated in the corporate area of town.
Lively atmosphere in an industrial style decor cafe. Here for breakfast. Many business meeting breakfast takes place here too. Fast service, delicious paninis served in fresh and crisp toasted bread. Good coffee.
