Delicious punchy flavours in a sleek rich timber setting. Been a few times now, the food is consistently great. Loved the prawn taco special, BEEF SHORT RIBS (mmmmmmm!), pork belly bao, yuzu chicken, whole fried fish and red curry. Desserts were lovely and balanced. The sorbets were a refreshing hit with everyone, the panna cotta and Mums egg tart were perfectly delicate and sweet! Friendly service from Sabina and Jake :) Thanks Freddie and the team of chefs who make it all happen!

Good food and attentive staff! First time coming and to check out chef Freddie's nu bambu, we had salt pepper tofu, chicken wings to start, garfish special and char kuay chow for mains, and had pandan and halo halo for dessert! Overall the food was impressive and not your typical asian food. My partner really enjoyed food too. The staff are really attentive and hospitable! Definitely we'll be back.

Our Saturday night perfect dining experience started with seared salmon coupled with a refreshing salad, beef tartare on sesame rice cracker and those finger licking Szechuan chicken wings. The heart warming red beef curry is perfect for a winter night with those punching flavours and the melt in your mouth beef short rib is a must try. To top all this off, the banana Nutella spring roll is such a guilty pleasure, and what better way to end the night with the jasmine tea panna cotta with lychee granita and rose petals and the chef’s selection of housemate sorbets (love the charcoal coconut one). Nu Bambu is a hidden gem tucked away in the nicely renovated Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL and I can’t wait to come back with family and friends. The menu echoes those familiar and beloved authentic Asian flavours with a modern and sophisticated twist.

Every Sunday it's buffet day!! Every Sunday Nu Bambu does a buffet lunch spread with Balinese music and open bar. The dishes are different weekly but similar selections will be available as a core menu. Love all the dishes especially the King Pao chicken, scampi noodles and the curry! A must visit with the family to enjoy good tranquil music and enjoy food. #nubambu #nubambusydney #asianfoodninja @asianfoodninja
