What can be said that hasn’t already been said, the food is amazing at a very reasonable price point with a great customer service attitude
My colleague took me to this small place, just behind where we work. They make really good coffee and the staff are really friendly.
All outdoor seating surrounded by construction but a good place for a quick toastie. They have an interesting variety and the reuben was pretty good, although there was nothing exciting about the thick chunks of somewhat flavourless corned beef (not pastrami as stated on the menu but a reuben normally uses corned beef anyway). It’s definitely good value as the $10 deal with a strong but a bit grainy coffee and they pack so much into the toastie that it gets messy - they should really go full jaffle, seal the edges and use a custom bread.
Migoreng toastie from this hole on the wall place on George St. Oh-so-morish with the spicy umami flavours of the migoreng noodles, the oozy cheese and egg and the crunch of the toastie itself. Just beware the lunchtime queue! But so worth the wait at just $10 for a toastie and coffee combo. Thought my friend was joking when they said it was at a construction site but it is unfortunately next to construction so there's a bit of noise, but sunny outdoor seating and cheery bright chairs so it's not too bad!
I've had multiple specials and standard toasties, every time you're greeted by friendly staff and it's a great little area to chill out. The bread is always toasted perfectly and it's never 'too much bread' like some sandwiches or toasties can be. Chicken has been quite dry on some and generally to me they lack flavour and seasoning. Overall you can get a toastie and coffee for $10, for city standards that's great. But from my experience I think I have tried it enough times in hope that something would keep me coming back. Definitely worth a try, and if you find something you love stick with it, that just wasn't the case for me.
A work colleague @sydneybossbabe told me about this place just behind my work.
It is a hidden gem worth the find just off George St, or behind Pitt St through Underwood lane.
I got the Mi Goreng Toastie which is pictured in my hand below and paired it with a Kombucha.
This sandwich was super tasty and savoury.
It's my childhood in a sandwich.
Migoreng toastie ($9.50)
⭐️ 3.5/5 ⭐️
🍴Wanted to try this novel #migorengtoastie and perhaps we set our standards a bit high. It didn’t disappoint but it didn’t impress either and could have been more flavourful. The bread was toasted perfectly, being nice and crisp, and the #migoreng was tasty but some parts had a bit too much cheese that overpowered the taste of the noodles. There is an ongoing worth-it promotion to add 50c for a drink (coffee/ hot choco/ matcha latte). The matcha latte was very rich but a bit too bitter and could do with more sweetness/ milk for better balance

A little hidden coffee place serving great coffee and toastie, right next to the EY building, down the stairs from George St. Stumbled upon their Instagram promoting Toastie + Coffee for only $10, all day every day. What a deal!!! The mi goreng toastie was yummy though kinda salty for my tongue. The Mi goreng toastie also came with cheese and egg, much better value than the mi goreng donut from Donut Papi. I would definitely pay a visit again if I happen to be at this end of the CBD in the morning.
Had read a lot about their Migoreng toasties... So decided to give it a try and absolutely loved it.. My friend the rueben toasties and she loved it too... To top it all great coffee and still extremely cheap on the pocket... Can't wait to have the toasties again.. The only thing which we wished for is the seating space outside could be utilised well but then it's just the season.. Extremely windy so can't complain to the outlet.
First stop in Sydney as we’d heard this place had the best coffee. We also wanted to try the migoreng toastie but it had literally just sold out! We got coffees though. I’m not if ours sat around before they came out but they were Luke warm. The coffee was actually really good and enjoyable to drink but the temperature it came out at let it down. 4 stars purely because I know if it came out closer to warm-hot it would’ve been perfect
These guys are best known for their Mi Goreng toastie, which is definitely one of my favs!
They recently had a special with Korean Ramen, which makes for a beast of a filling, and it was trying to escape from every direction 😂
Their menu is pretty varied, and has toasties to meet any taste requirement. The guys are super friendly, and pretty quick to have your food ready when you’re in a rush to get back to work!
Possibly not the easiest to find if you’re not familiar. But it’s just down some steps past the EY building by circular quay!
You should definitely pay a visit if you’re in the area! Firstly to try their mi goreng if you haven’t already, and to sample their weekly specials! I’ve heard their coffee is pretty good as well!
It took us a while to find the cafe, and it didn't help that we were there waiting outside before they had even opened up. We came along to try the mi goreng toastie, as seen on instagram. We ordered the mushroom and cheese toastie as well and a piccolo also. The coffee was fantastic, and i was rather upset that the cafe is a bit out of the way for me to get that piccolo every morning before work. I loved the mi goreng toastie, but it's far too much to handle in the morning. In my opinion it is the perfect hangover cure. They have a special sauce in it and its really wonderful along with the runny yolk egg. We loved the mushroom toastie, with the oozing cheese - much more suited for breakfast! Service here is quick and the staff is also nice and friendly.
Small hole in the wall cafe with funky toasties and juices. The nacho libre toasty had good flavours but the tomato made it soggy. It has outdoor seating with no cover so avoid on a rainy day!
Really curious to try their waffle because someone recommended it to me. At first, I love the waffle, its kinda chewt. But after a few bites, I really smelled the batter of the waffle somehow. However, I love their pulled pork burger. The bun was soft, the pork was tender and what I love the most is theu add grilled halloumi in the burger💕
Apple-rosemary jam gave a hint of sweetness but I can't quite taste the significant flavor in this burger. Waffles - $14.00. w espresso mascarpone, almond crumble, caramel + banana. At first, I love this waffle it was crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. The mascarpone was nice but a bit too watery.

So many coffee shops and cafes are popping up in cool spaces around Sydney these days. Corporate lobbys and foyers are the new black for cafes and restaurants it seems. Dutch Smuggler in Broadway have expanded their coffee offering at the grand outdoor space around 200 George St. Cappuccino ($3.30) using their custom house blend is made well and served in a cool Kaz ceramic cup. Simple eats available including tempting cronuts and cruffins by the famous Brewtown Newtown are on offer for an epic sugar hit — yes please. Friendly staff working out of a cool space. Apparently seating has been council approved and coming soon which will make a lovely outdoor coffee stop on a nice day.
A short walk from Circular Quay station, a hidden gem for coffee & toasties. Service is great & taste innovative toasties & nice mocha .Please do drop by to taste it and you wont be disappointed. Environment can be noisy due to construction.
Definitely a hidden gem if your looking for a difference in toasties. The Nasi Goreng toastie is delicious a strong hint of curry lingers on the tongue after a few bites. The bread used was a standard sandwich bread so if improvement could be made I’d switch that out for a better quality artisan bread. But overall really good. Customer service is exceptional. Coffee mild not strong yet smooth! 👍🏼
Located outdoors with outdoor tables
A hidden gem in the Sydney CBD near Circular Quay that really worths the visit. I came here many times just for their mee goreng toasties and the sparkling coffee (which unfortunately not available today). We ordered two coffees and toasties for lunch and enjoyed everything till the last bites. The toasties were cooked fresh; the bread was toasted crunchy and golden while the fillings are melting goodness with cheese, mee goreng, mushroom and fried sunny side up. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating while their outdoor seating is designed with a few tables and chairs for dining in. The coffees came out quickly after ordering while the toasties came not long afterward. Yummy in my tummy 🤤! Coffee today was a tad bitter but otherwise everything was great.
Great coffee and delicious toasties!
This place has always had a spot in my heart. Although a little bit difficult to locate at first, but it is all worth it for the food, the coffee, and the friendly service.
I had the toastie + coffee combo for $12. The toastie was crispy, melty with cheese, runny egg yolk and a hint of shallots smell.
There is a construction near by so it was not an ideal place to sit down for a conversation. Other than that, no complaints.
BEST TOASTIE I'VE EVER HAD. Amazing food, especially that Mi Goreng toastie sandwich. Kelvin is the friendliest bloke and even remembered us from the last time we were down. Now that's customer service!
When i read the reviews, i just had to come and try the indomie toasties. It was great! Also tried the truffle mushrooms but was ok.
The owner is always friendly and the toasties are to die for. The coffee is also very good and they even offer a very reasonably priced combo. Will take all my Sydney-visitors there, it‘s a must when you are in the city!
Dutch Smuggler is just a walk away from Circular Quay station. I tried almost all their menu and gosh they were all so good!! Coffee was really good, the Indomie goreng toastie was brilliant as well as noodle garlic. It reminds me of San Fransisco’s Tanh Long! ❤️ Will surely visit another time!
