The beef brisket was so tender and tasty but a bit too salty for my liking. Love all the dips and house made corn chips. Great for groups or any time and lovely cocktails & sangria. Great Mexican food with nice friendly staff. They have a interesting wall of chilly sauces ranging from beginner to extremely hot for the true Mexican experience. Do recommend if you are in the area however the price might only be the downside which I assume would deter many.
Went here with a group of friends on Friday night. The place was jam packed so recommend that you get reservations before turning up. The food was above average - not too impressed with my fajita but the burritos were awesome.
It was a nice evening. My only problem was that it was a full house so we had to sit on the bar and have dinner there. The entree was queso fundido but there's no meat. I wonder if they're confused with chili con queso. Next was the pozolo and it's really good. We didn't try the dessert menu as it didn't look it's worth to try. However we tried the toasted coconut piña colada which was quite pleasant.
Went here before a movie. Great food, atmosphere and the staff were lovely! I definitely recommend the buttermilk chicken tacos and beef chimichanga! :-)
Came here with some friends and was absolutely starving when I arrived. We ordered the salsa and chips to start and I ordered with a friend to share (beef chimichanga and chicken chimichanga) as we both wanted to try out chimichangas. The food was served very quickly and the waiters were very friendly. The chips and salsa were nice however I probably would not order again or recommend to a friend as the chips were very hard and the salsas were a little bland. The chimichangas were bigger than I expected and I was pleasantly surprised with the texture and taste of the pastry/tortilla. I expected it to be greasy and heavy but it was very delicious and VERY FILLING. I left feeling 10x heavier but it definitely was a great time, thank you!
I don't usually enjoy Mexican food but the food last night was great. Nachos was a 10. Sangria was delicious. And the service was pretty good.
corn tortillas were weird. each taco felt like i was eating weird tortilla and under-seasoned fillings—they didn't live with each other.. they were more like passive aggressive roommates that were trying to get along but you could taste the differences. the fried chicken by itself was good but it definitely was not a "taco". the chimichanga was all...right (good try...?) only good thing about this place was the free-for-all rack of hot sauces in the back (which nobody in the restaurant was using??????????)

This Mexican eatery has come such a long way since I first visited. The have had a facelift and the food has also improved in a really good way.
Came here during a school night, it was relatively busy. The food is good here and the portions are also generous. Service on this particular evening was somewhat lacking, whereas in the past, it was quite good. I guess, even wait staffs have their off days.
What we ordered: drinks wise, I ordered the El Bontanico, to which I forgot to take a photo of! I must've been quite thirsty that evening. We ordered fajitas for two. We got the grilled king prawns and barramundi and got to select three condiments each. This was truly a food overload experience.
The food portion can be very deceptive. One of those fajita board could possibly feed two people! Granted, this is contingent on the size of your appetite. The food/price ratio was in par, and the quality of the ingredients were fresh.
Once dinner was over, we walked out feeling extremely satisfied and rather round.
This is one of my to go to when the Mexican craving hits.
The food was pretty good, not great however, but pretty good. The service was pretty good too. They managed to find us a table even though we arrived 45minutes earlier than our booking. I would definitely recommend this place.
Probably the most Mexican I've ever had. The food was spot on, service was friendly and helpful, and most importantly the margaritas were excellent. We arrived early but it filled up super fast and we will definitely be back. I would have taken more photos but was too busy enjoying the food. 👍
Mexican food was pretty good, quite tasty and flavoursome.
You should definitely try the different sauces ranging from the various mild-hotness.
The hotness one has a direct hit on your tongue, it's like knives stabbing your tongue.

With a rustic and almost homey interior flying fajita sistas is a must for any Mexican food lovers. There's plenty of wait staff to go around so you're never stuck at your table waiting to catch their attention and coupled with their often great customer service you can't go wrong when ordering with these men and women. The food and drinks are both equally delicious and you'll be spoiled for choice. The food was delicious, fresh and most importantly tasted as good as it reads on the menu.
A "Wall of pain" is a feature of the restaurant, where you can pick a chilli level that suits your needs (and capabilities) and is a fun addition to the already great restaurant and food.
Overall flying fajita sistas is a great restaurant worth every dollar you pay.

Returned recently to fulfil a craving for tacos. I enjoyed the achiote pulled pork and the broccolini tacos, not a fan of the "crispy" pork belly which was more chewy rather than crispy. My friend thought the chimichanga was very average and on hindsight, would've preferred a non-fried version ie. a burrito. We also shares the corn chips and guacamole which were addictive. Love the impressive range of sauces on the Wall of Pain, it kicks the flavours up a notch. Service was friendly and efficient.

FFS has cleaned up a bit since my last visit a couple years ago. The interior is brighter and fresher, making it feel a bit more spacious. We ordered the chorizo enchiladas and the chicken fajitas to share. A satisfying feed with punchy, bold flavours. Next time though, we'd eat the enchilada first because melted cheese is always better when it's warm. I love DIY food so the fajitas were right up my alley. Warm tortillas rolled around lime and herb grilled chicken - delicious. FFS also had an interesting chilli watermelon margarita. Unusual but worth a try with the chilli tickling the back of the throat as you swallow the drink.

Down the busy end of Glebe Point Road, sits Flying Fajita Sisters. It's busy every night they're open, and while the neighbouring mexican restaurants confirm that Glebe has a serious appetite for mexican, FFS hold their ground the food stakes. Catering to the local's penchant for southern fare surely is difficult - even during the most quietest night Ive seen it, it really took considerable time to order drinks let alone food. Other had different experiences, with guests arriving after our table, being served near immediately.
Regardless, once our food arrived, we soon forgot. The snapper ceviche ($19) is fleshy and tangy, and albeit a little tricky to handle. Soft Shell Crab taco's were crisp and light, and the cabbage was mild and crunchy, in no way taking away from the crab. We loved the Elote - Corn Cob ($5) with chipotle and queso fresco, and the chipotle mayo had a serious complexity and intensity. The tomatillo-braised beef tacos (2 for $13) were also enjoyed, however a llitle more juicy and hard to handle courtesy of the beans. The tomatillo mix was light and mild, and the beef incredibly tender. The whitebait was probably the only letdown with our dishes, tasting a little too fishy and not quiet crisp enough for what we had hoped for. We loved the sangria (500ml $15) and found FFS to 'make up for the fruit' and give a generous serving per jug.
I ordered three tacos here, pulled pork with picked onion, crispy pork belly with a sauce reminiscent of satay, and beer battered market fish. I had high hopes for the fish taco particularly but it wasn't as flavoursome as expected. In the other two tacos, the sauces were great but the meat was a bit drier than expected. There was lots of meat however and portions were great, and my friends all enjoyed their chimichangas so I would be open to trying other things from their menu again.

We arrived on a weeknight without a booking and although we saw many empty tables, staff told us everything was booked and the only seats available were the front window ledge area. So we sat down and were promptly given menus and table water. We decided to try the 'sangria of the week' over the red, as recommended by one of the staff. It was a white sangria, refreshing and full of fresh pineapple chunks. For the food, we started with the guacamole and corn chips, then the buttermilk fried chicken tacos, king prawns and chorizo sauteed in chili sauce + tortillas and finally the lime and herb chicken fajitas (we actually wanted the grilled steak fajitas, but were told they had run out).
I thoroughly enjoyed the fried chicken tacos and upon having the last bite, I immediately started to regret not ordering the other tacos to try. The sauteed prawns and chorizo were decent, and the chicken fajitas were not bad either. But besides the tacos, there wasn't anything that stood out as being "omg I must have this again". Food overall was nice, but lacked a little something that I can't seem to put my finger on.
Service was friendly, but we did notice the restaurant never got to full capacity. I am not sure if people booked and cancelled last minute, or staff were simply picking and choosing who to give tables too. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they had some no shows that night.
One of my very first experiences with proper authentic Mexican food. The Flying Fajita Sistas lived up to its reputation of being a cool urban place where us (a bunch of vociferous young guys) spent a well earned evening dining and wining on tacos and coronas and ably supported by great service!
We like this place. It has a very nice garden in the back. The staff are awesome and attentive. The first time we went we got the set menu and a jug of margarita.
The next time we visited we had the American Nephew with us. Sadly the set menu was not on offer but I created something similar from the menu. The highlight of the meal for the Nephew was everything. We had fish and prawn dishes that wouldn't be served in his inland state. One of the highlights was the dessert chimichanga.
We have visited this place enough for it to become a regular restaurant for us.
Best mexican food in Sydney. Having spent some time in Mexico, i am very picky with mexican food here on whether it's authentic or not. The service was great and the food was amazing. Definitely my go-to place whenever I crave for Mexican food. I recommend booking a table on busy nights.
Very cool Mexican restaurant, probably the best tacos I have had in Sydney. Decent tequila selection, plus they offer flights. Great hot sauce variety, even one at 350,000 scoviles. I definately want to come back and try more.
A cool cosy little place in Glebe to get some tasty well prices Mexican. I have been on 2 occasions and ordered tacos and a burrito plate. The food came out quickly and full of flavour. We were seated on a busy night without a booking and staff were friendly. There is classic 'wall of pain' which has an array of help yourself hot sauces for the hot sauce lovers. Well priced with mains under $25. Will definetly be back when I want my Mexican fix
To be honest, I nearly cried when I tried this beautiful restaurant at Glebe. The location is not hard to find as it is close from Central Station. The Fajita (steak) is the BEST I've ever had so far. Ii ordered Margarita but i think it was a little bit strong. Muchas Gracias Flying Fajita Sistas!

I always enjoy coming here when I have a craving for a chimichunga. Can't go wrong with them.
I would recommend booking if you plan to go towards the weekend as they can get quite busy.
There is a cute outside court area, so if its a nice day, probably better to sit out there. The inside is lit dimly, so it does have some sort of mood setting.
The food is always good. I've been here a few times now and everyone enjoys their meal every time. I always forget how big the chimichunga is here and always end up not finishing it.
The staff a very friendly and if you need help with the drink or food menu, they are always happy to help.
This restaurant is good for all sorts of groups and occasions. They usually accommodate for parties of all sizes. Definitely worth a go if you want to go somewhere for some casual dining or group parties.
I don't know what to think of this place. I only tried one thing so my review is for the burrito with napole , onion and coriander. It was pretty spicy, but I like to think I can handle my chili compared to others!!! Had to eat the burrito with a knife and fork as was soggy from the sauce. Sorry for the bad pic!!! The service was lovely everyone was really nice and food came out quick and there was always someone there if we needed something. I wasn't completely sold on the burrito, it could of had more beans. Hefty price for a burrito imo. $20. Was very spicy as previously mentioned but the napole was very interesting. I didn't ask the staff what it was but according to google it's some sort of cactus! Not bad but I think would be nice to come here and order lots of different things to try.
Went here for my girlfriends birthday with her family. Delicious food although be careful you don't fill up on starters/shared dishes like nachos before your main meals as the latter are very generous.
Good service except difficult to get the attention of the waitress following our starters to order our mains. Once ordered though the food came out reasonably promptly.

The service here is lovely. So helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much bother for them. Food was excellent. I had the Elote, Pulled Pork Taco, Chorizo Empanadas (special), and Tomatillo Braised Beef Chimichanga. Presented well and full of flavour I enjoyed all the dishes I ate.
Great mexican restaurant, with nice staff. The chicken of the fajitas was delicious and perfectly tender. I highly recommand the dessert with bananas and chocolate.
Pretty cool decor, really friendly staff. Absolutely fantastic food ordered a whole bunch of dishes and loved them all especially the savoury spicy chocolate dip.

This place is gorgeous. If you are here in warm weather definitely opt to sit outside. We had a selection of dishes and they were all beautiful. The serving were generous and under no circumstances must you miss the sista margarita.
We were here early for dinner as we had a toddler in tow and the staff who looked after us was very friendly and helpful when we asked questions about their menu. They even have kids pack to keep the little ones entertained which is great (puzzles, crayons for colouring in, stickers)
I tried their pulled pork enchiladas with creamy tomatillo salsa. This was tasty, rich and very filling. My husband had their small serving of beef nachos which came with tender chunks of beef and I ended up having half his small serving as it was tasty and addictive. He also had 3 of their tacos (pulled pork, salmon braised beef) which was generous in filling.
We both had a glass of Shiraz although I read that they were BYO? While the prices are slightly high, they are generous portions and you will walk out full.

I haven't sampled the menu beyond Fajitas and some basic entree items nor do I feel the need as the Fajitas always hit the spot. That being said, some may feel the need for more food which is where the price starts to creep up. Little tip, make a booking if you intend to go at a peak time, it's crazy to just assume you'll get a table. Also get an unsuspecting friend to sample sauces from the "Wall of Pain" before you do...
The place was packed when we went but we were seated very quickly after another couple left. Our food and drinks order was taken within 5 minutes and another 10 minutes from that our food arrive sizzling hot. My boyfriend and I ordered some small share plates and tacos and loved every bite! We also ordered the mojito special and a classic margarita which were both excellent. All up a very good meal and even better service. Very happy.

A real shame. I've been to Flying Fajita Sisters a lot in the past few years, have taken people from out of town there and have always been impressed by the food. That is, until my latest dinner there. The menu's been overhauled and the prices are now completely out of step with the food on offer. Both of our mains, over $20 each, came without guacamole, sour cream, or salsa. These had to be ordered separately at additional cost. Will not be going back.

Taco-licious!. The most delicious tacos! Only $13 for two massive snapper tacos, perfectly cooked. My boyfriend had chicken fajitas with rice, beans, pickled onions, guacamole and a couple of salsas for $29 and he was impressed. The service was really friendly and professional. We left happy and full. Found our new favourite Mexican.
Really great Mexican. I went with a group of friends and had the best night. We ordered a few small plates and some large ones and shared the lot, it was a fun way to eat. The ceviche was one of the stand outs for me, it was so full of flavour and deliciously fresh. Taquitos durados were a winner too. The pumpkin empanadas were a huge hit with the vegos on the table. Will be back again very soon.

It was definitely more refined than the Mexican at Montezuma's, but perhaps not as homely. Same goes with the staff. I did like the personal touches however: the olives on arrival and the cute greeting card that encased the bill.
White Sangria. It's made with brandy soaked strawberries, orange, pineapple, white wine and Dry Ginger Ale...must be Fajitas for me...The steak is actually fantastic, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection and the guacamole and frijoles are incredibly flavoursome.
