perfect to share with a friend! can't go wrong with the $7.5 signature taro ball
My favourite thing to get here is just the herbal ice! I know it sounds weird but it's something about the flavouring that makes it so addictive. This time however, I got herbal jelly no 3 which had red beans, pearls and peanuts which tasted great! Perfect for summer!
Always a great way to end off any trip in the city. Every dessert has a great mix of textures, flavours and even temperatures! Would definitely recommend getting a few of the classics and just sharing it with a few friends.
I’ve been craving for meet fresh for a week and it was the time where I had the chance to eat it. I ordered signature herbal jelly and they’ve got herbal jelly, pearls, and taro served on top a shaved ice and they got you a small cup on milk for you to pour it on top. It was very nice as the shaved ice has a lot of flavour in it, I think it was because of the simple syrup they put in. I really liked this and it’s recommended to try
I absolutely adore Meet Fresh. I love the grass jelly, the pearls, the shave ice, the taros, and taro balls. It is a perfect treat which I come back again and again, I can’t get sick of it and it’s such sad news to hear that there are only two franchises left.
Had the Mango sago pudding. Wasnt all that but i will be back to try more desserts including the drinks! Location is in the centre of Haymarket and the ambience is very spacious and nice. There is also an upstairs.
Tofu red bean peanuts is very very good. Very warming when served hot. The shaved mango ice was huge but tastes rather refreshing. It was more of a eye grabber of a dish. Mango tasted a bit off but maybe it is because I am so spoiled by high grade mangoes. I think Xi wanted to test my belly but I survived... Phewww
Nice spot to enjoy some Taiwanese desserts. We sat on a table outdoors. Ordered the tofu pudding combination and mango shaved ice. Generous portions and reasonable prices.
I always go here with my family and friends. It is a great place to hangout or to have a meet up with some old friends. The taste is delicious and addictive. I’m craving it right now 🤤
This place is really good. Love their winter melon tea. So refreshing and clean tasting. Really nice after an oily dinner or in summer to cool you down
C: Ordered a lemon tea after a long hot day making it super super refreshing. It’s very authentic lemon tea as well, might be too sweet but you can also order half sugar. The portion sizing was huge so it took me a few hours before I finished it all making it worth it for the price. Good place to sit and chat with friends so overall worthwhile experience :))
Classic Taiwanese dessert and super convenient if you’re craving shaved ice. The flavours are fresh and the variety of toppings is great. Nothing to complain about the price, it’s pretty cheap. The bowls are less than $10 but the shaved ice can be more expensive, though its good to share.
I frequent this shop because it offers cheap desserts and also plenty of seats. It's a good place to take a brief rest, or to have something to discuss with friends.
There're 2 floors. Order at the counter and you'll be given a bell. Once it rings you should go there again and pick the order up by yourself.
{Red Bean Taro Coconut Black Sticky Rice} is a very warm winter dessert. It would be better if coconut soup could be more. But overall it tastes OK.
The Signature Taro is sooo good! One of the best Taiwanese shaved ice I have had. The taro balls are chewy and the tapioca pearls add a nice touch. The shaved ice has this black sugar taste that is yummy. I also ordered the Silken Tofu which is ok. The ambience of the place is nice and cozy, with Mando pop music playing in the background. Great place to chill and hang out with friends.
Was wandering through Chinatown and when I came across MeetFresh I knew instantly I would be back for dessert that night! Coming from Brisbane, we had one here, however, it shut down! I ordered my go to herbal jelly signature bowl and my partner ordered the coconut mango sago bowl. Both desserts were great tasting! I will miss this place!
Meet fresh is such a great ending to a good meal! So refreshing and light with all the right Asian flavours. The Chinatown store is the best one I’ve been to. Some of the other stores can be hit and miss with the taro pieces and quality of the other ingredients.
Delicious Asian desserts at a really affordable price. The service is normally decent, there's lots of comfy seating here and portions are great for one person or to share
Great for asian style desserts. The shaved ice desserts are great for a hot day. Got the red bean ice($9.80) which was a massive serving plenty for 3 and with generous amounts of red bean. Interior is nothing too special but there are plenty of seats and not bad for a catch up.
A good dessert place for some traditional Taiwanese sweet dishes. The iced herb jelly with shaved ice is quite popular in Summer. You can also get Asian-style warm deserts during winter.
I come here for the herbal jelly desserts. The oolong milk tea and other bubble teas are great. But the mango shaved ice contains chopped up peaches (instead of real mango) and mango syrup.
My partner is a strawberry lover and likes to come here for the Pink explosion.
Refreshing and not too sickly sweet which is good as these certain desserts often can be an overload of sugar. I enjoyed their tofu pudding and tried some of their duo deluxe pudding. Serve size could be more. Their top ten list is helpful.
Been to different Meet Fresh stores but the one in Chinatown serves the best Taiwanese desserts. Perhaps the variation in taste depends on the staff who prepare the ingredients. The herbal jelly, tofu pudding, and taro balls are my faves! They simply delicious and refreshing. Tried the giant shaved ice mango bowl but it was way too sweet and tasted a little bit artificial. In the meantime, I'll stick to the handmade dessert bowls.
A really good value place for Asian desserts in the heart of Chinatown in Sydney CBD.
We went for their signature mango ice blend which was huge - great dessert to share between 2 or one person who can eat a lot and love sweets. I also went for their wintermelon tea which was quite refreshing and nicely brewed.
Overall great place for a dessert stop anytime of the day. Good value for money for some yummy traditional Asian desserts
Clean and quiet dessert place - staff are especially attentive with up to three people serving one customer at any time! Great value for interesting Taiwanese shaved ice combinations.
lovely dessert soup, try that herb jelly for the first time, very strangely satisfying, I had a warm one, like soup but sweet and herby, and all the chewy bits, sweet potato balls, red bean, intresting!
Still, no place does asian desserts better than meet fresh. It has a vast menu of drinks, and shaved ice with various textural toppings that keep me coming back. It's just a great place for some yummy refreshing dessert. The ambiance is also nice being more quiet in the afternoons, and bustling in the late night. Personally, I love the signature herbal jelly. I have to say though, it's kinda inconsistent as sometimes you get smaller portions than usual which is pretty disappointing.
Meet Fresh is my go-to dessert place for Asian desserts! It is right at the heart of Chinatown, so it's really easy to find and there's always a lot of people, especially during late nights. Their 'signature tofu pudding' with taro balls and pearls is simply awesome. It makes me wanna revisit Taiwan everytime I have it.
I absolutely adore Meet Fresh! It's a great end to a night in Chinatown. It's usually packed whenever I've been there but we still manage to get a seat. Service is generally friendly and punctual, however I do have a slight issue with their menu - It's not made particularly clear and a lot of it is often in Mandarin, which is great if you can understand the language - not so great if you can't. That being said, my usual order is the mango coconut sago which is really good - a bit inconsistent though, sometimes certain elements will be missing - for example the sorbet isn't always there.
Despite the flaws, I'll still be returning to Meet Fresh in the future :)
So good!! So clean and the staff are so friendly. It's a little gloomy in here, especially up top if you like a lot of sunlight. The waffles were really good and the milk tea as well, the mega one is only $6.8 and you get so much tea!!
This was pretty good and wasn't too expensive. We went during non-peak time so there were no lines and no rush what so ever. It's a great place to talk and at the same time chill with your friends. The mango shaved ice was really nice and very sweet.
Super refreshing and relatively cheap, one bowl of shaved ice with toppings can easily feed two people. Not overly sweet, but can always satisfy my sweets cravings :) I love herbal jelly, so we usually get Herbal jelly + tapioca balls + red beans + taro (No. 4 from Herbal series). We also tried red beans + tapioca balls + taro balls, which wasn't bad but the lack of herbal jelly simply doesn't suit my taste. Not a fancy place, but I would come back regularly to have one of the best shaved ice in the city.
Visited on a friday night and the place was packed. Dessert was good and the portion was acceptable, want to try the mango dessert on next visit
Good late night dessert option! Always get their herbal jelly desserts which I love (particularly Herbal Jelly No.4 because I love red bean) and if in a big group, it is always good to pitch in for the crushed mango dessert. The service here is quite slow but it is understandable because of the huge groups at night
Did I mention I love Sichuan hot food? Especially the Red chilli Next to it?
this shop is my savior after I finish my hot and spicy Sichuan food!
don't forget their "one whole orange tea" on Friday Chinatown market.
Good chinese desert bar. Speedy service. And good seating outside and upstairs.
On a hot day the shaved ice items will cool you down and when it's cold the warm chinese desserts will keep you warm so there is something for all weather conditions at meetfresh.
Mango sago. Cant go wrong
A great dessert place!! The options for the desserts 🍨 are vast and different. Loved it!!! Service was quick and ambience was great too. Overall a good place to quickly grab desserts with friends and family. Will definitely be back guys!!!
Great place for a sweet tooth and something to cool you down on a hot day, if only you're willing to wait. Their shaved ice bowls are excellent in portion size, and while the toppings are a mix of fresh and not-fresh, they are still tasty.
Their hot dishes are also not too bad, with their silken tofu in ginger syrup very reminicent of my childhood. I'm not a huge fan of herbal jellies and teas in general, but the ones offered here are nice enough that I'm also okay with having them if they have something special as a seasonal dish/drink.
Good late night dessert option. We tend to always get the mango flavoured desserts as they are familiar and refreshing. Service was a bit slow the evening we visited but there quite a few large groups.
I have had the original one when i was in china. Its my fave treats on a summer day. Or they can serve some items hot, to warm your winter day.
It's still taste the same as the original. Just more pricey here in syd。
But it's supper yummy, love the texture of the taro and sweet potato balls.
Needing a refreshing dessert we came here and decided on their mango shaved ice which was a generous serve that is best for two and we added some additional topping of taro balls and sago. My husband also wanted to try their mango, coconut and sago which was a perfect size for one person and was probably the best out of the two.
We have been here before (years ago) but noticed now the store doesn't have proper menus. They have a screen with some menu items and print outs of what's new/special which became annoying when we arrived and wasn't sure of what we really wanted. If they had full menus available it will make the queue move faster.
Good place to visit in summer when we want a lighter/refreshing dessert that is also reasonably priced.
Their dessert is all right, however it is not amazing. For that price, I find the dessert worth it though. It is a perfect hang out place if you just want to chat and order something light to share with friends.
Well I have been planning for a long time to try out Meet Fresh's King Mango Crush Ice. So off we go to Chinatown one winter night to fulfill my promise to myself. I immediately ordered their King Mango Crush Ice. I know the serving was big but didn't know it was huge! It's enough to feed four people.
The shaved mango ice on top was velvety and creamy. While the bottom crushed milk ice provided the crunch and subtle sweetness. It came with a few pieces of mango that gave it a fresh taste. The calories from this one are totally worth gaining for. The only thing you'd want would be more mango pieces on top!
MEET FRESH. our to go dessert at late night ( closed before midnight i think - Chinatown branch ) and such spacious place so can fit more people. :D
basically i (almost) always order signature herbal jelly ;p thats goooddd. taste great. but i have tried some other menus such as mango/ strawberry crushed ice.. and etc
Get the Duo Delux Pudding Drink!!!
Always full of chinese people getting desserts (red bean on ice with black jelly and syrup etc.) or pearl/bubble tea
As someone who is not a big fan of patbingsu (korean name for red bean on ice) or any of these similar chinese desserts they serve at meet fresh, I sometimes dreaded going here with my Chinese or Taiwanese friends, knowing I wasnt a big fan of their desserts.
They have a drink with milk jelly, yellow pudding pearls etc and Ice cream on top called Duo Delex. It will literally save your day when dining here with Asian friends. Totally delicious compared to the ice beans.
They also seem to have introduced mango desserts. Pretty sure a mango smoothie type thing will beat the ice beans too.
Don't give up on meet fresh because you dont like ice beans. Look for the tastier options!
Signature Taro Balls and Coconut Mango Sago.
+ The Coconut Mango Sago was refreshing and packed full of flavour.
+ Large portions at an affordable price.
+ Tastes almost as good as my favourite sago dessert from Hong Kong.
+ A lot of seats to cater for different group sizes.
- Signature Taro Ball dish was a bit too bland- needs more syrup.

Came here with a friend after lunch. Can't say that I'm a huge fan of Asian dessert but they had some really refreshing desserts here. We ordered the coconut mango sago and the taro special and they were just delightful, though I prefer my friends signature taro special( I think it was called) well, that's what I remembered it to be anyway.
Their beeper pager means that you can grab a seat whilst waiting for your order, which means you're not blocking thoroughfare. Bonus! As the counter and waiting area is quite contained and the walk way, narrow. They have an upstairs sitting area with cool air conditioning. Not much to comment about the deco. There wasn't any! Just uniform white tables and chairs thrown together to form some sort of seating. Come here for the dessert, that's what this place is all about!
Meet Fresh has become my favourite dessert. I don't know what it is, well I do. It's the chewiness of the taro balls, texture of the red beans & taro, and the sweetness of the syrup drenched ice. My favourite by far is the Signature Taro Ball: pearls, taro, red bean, taro balls & ice! You essentially make your order, receive a buzzer, and collect your order once the buzzer rings. The idea of a refreshing dessert = yes! Definitely try it, don't be afraid to. I certainly was.
With the raging heat in Sydney over the past two days, the refreshing drinks and desserts at Meet Fresh were much welcome. In Chinatown, there's a huge and very busy Meet Fresh branch with two stories for dining. You pay at the counter and receive a buzzer. I discovered my new favourite iced tea drink - the Meet Fresh Green Tea which is uber refreshing and has that subtle bitterness of the Green Tea. Their mixed berry waffle is really colourful and pretty. The taste though could be better, the waffle was somewhat a dry and even with the addition of syrup, it didn't soften it up. I much prefer my waffles to be fluffier. I have tried the mango iced dessert before which I also highly recommend. It's basically a huge tower of yummy mango bits, mango syrup and shaved ice. Very good to share with a bunch of friends!
The place to go if you are after some Taiwanese desserts after a meal.
My go to is the Signature Herbal Jelly Bowl (hot or cold) with tapioca pearls, sweet potato and taro nuggets.
The sweet potato and taro nuggets are chewier than I had it last time, but other than that, everything else is delicious.
The desserts here are pretty good value and really refreshing. You can get a whole bowl of refreshing herbal jelly for about $6.50. The taro balls are confusing because they don't taste like taro- they taste more like chewy rice cakes. I normally just get the herbal jelly bowls because their other desserts are pretty expensive for what you get.
Addicted to meet fresh! My obsession with meet fresh has been an enduring one,,, through the good times and the bad times we meet again and again...
My favourite to order is always "signature herbal jelly" without pearls. Lately I asked them to add green beans + barley + vanilla ice cream. Plus a dash of milk when I eat it's the best Asian desert imaginable ;)
The business is obviously thinking strategically by expanding offering of deserts in both hot & cold. Pancake based deserts looks vibrant and mouth watering with a good serving of fresh fruits or rich chocolate! It is never boring at Meet Fresh!
However the environment although a good improvement still little messy and chaotic! They also need to be less strict or stingy with their milk pockets (strictly 1 per eligible order) ;( seriously?! Take it easy!
Love their signature grass jelly dish + taro balls + tapioca. Got takeout the first time we visited in Sydney but the portion seems to be a lot smaller than if you were to stay in. It was so good that we have to eat it again the night before our flight home!
As an Asian, I don't really like this one 'pancake'. Green tea ice cream was too sweet. It lost the real green tea flavour. I would rather go to Japanese restaurant to have green tea ice cream. Everything inside was just too sweet, nothing special.

Delicious!!
Love their coconut mango sago and mango milk crushed ice!
I've always walked past Meet Fresh but never gone in. This was my first time having it and absolutely loved it.
Its relatively cheap and fast service.
I will definitely go back to try their other desserts!
The first time I encountered this banner was in Sydney when I walked pass the corner of Dixon and Sussex Streets. There were lots of people lining up to place orders. Traffic was packed but services are so systematic. I took a tray and walked up to upstairs dining area, where was so packed with happy customers. I am so proud with them to set up such sweet treats outlet and introduce different food culture to Australia.
Meet Fresh, Haymarket offers simple and sweet options without any fuss. The is some variety (including the option between cold, with ice, and hot, with sweet red bean soup), with an option to customise your dessert dish, and the prices are reasonably inexpensive for dessert (cf. ice cream). The options are not exceedingly saccharine like Western desserts and there is a handful of ingredients that go into each of them (e.g., barley, sago, tapioca balls/pearls, taro, honey dew) which add to the textures.
The service at the Haymarket location has been consistently solid but, sadly, the ambience has been rather lacking both outside, with smokers and so much foot traffic, and inside, both downstairs and upstairs. There is a lack of seating downstairs, whereas upstairs has felt fairly muggy or stuffy.
On balance, we would probably patronise Meet Fresh again, in large part because there are few other good options available.
In love with frosty ice cream. Love love love the softserve. My heart melts and there is nothing better on a hot day than this.
My go-to dessert place on a hot summer's day ! I enjoy their mango bingsu, definitely worth the money as portions are good for value. This place holds many memories, and is pretty spacey. They have an upstairs and outdoor seating area perfect for big gatherings. I personally love their original taro ball shaved-ice dessert. Thanks Meet Fresh !
Meet Fresh offers healthier and more delicious alternatives to traditional desserts such as cakes ice-cream. It offers a number of different ingredients such as Taro Balls, Pudding and Jelly combined with Ice. This means the desserts offer less sugar and is more delicious as well.
Authentic traditional Taiwanese dessert including shaved iced, frappe, cold and hot sweet soups. Quite enjoy flavours of home without having to fly all the distance!! Very generous serving size. Newly renovated. Minimal table service.
I like their herb bowl as well as the mango ice crush. I ordered the big size of mango ice crush and I really recommend that it's the best for 2-3, not 1!
I like their herb desserts, most of them!
