Meat lovers haven! This place is laid back with a great ambiance! I love their meat selection plus the salads and banana fritters and grilled pineapple. For 43$ you can enjoy their savory meat which is served on your table continuously.
Been here numerous times at Churassco and I have to say, I actually prefer it over Braza at Darling Harbour for a few reasons:
a) Cheaper
-$39 in comparison to $54 for the all you can eat
b) Less noisy
-There's live entertainment at Braza, larger space and more people thus it is louder there but at Churassco it's less noisy
c) Easier to get to
-Located in Darlinghurst, easier to get to than at Darling Harbour
d) Food tastes better here
-While Braza has more meat and side selections, I do prefer the meat and sides here better
-Churassco does really nice deep fried bananas covered in cinnamon sugar, cheese balls, potatoes with cheese and their meats are succulent (sometimes a bit dry but same with Braza too)
-Great atmosphere and my Brazilian friend said it's pretty much on par in terms of authenticity when having Churassco in Brazil
Could not have been happier with this place and it's staff. Had husbands 40th and booked table for 20. The staff were so accommodating and gave in to our every request. The food was AMAZING, so much variety and choices. Really good quality meat. Would definitely recommend!! Can't wait to be back.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the endless supply of perfectly cooked and subtlely seasoned meat brought to your table! Great service great vibe almost like Carnavale!!!
Churrasco is where I would go with friends who likes meaty feast. Meats are continuously cooked and brought to the table. The meat are fresh and juicy. Besides meat, I also love their cheese ball. White Sangria is also their specialty. It's like a sweet and fruity cocktail, not very strong, but perfect to cool you down and cut down the grease of the meat a little. The service staffs are friendly and sweet. A fantastic place for party with the super long tables. It's also quite spacious and therefore kids friendly. Some would say that $50 is not cheap for those who doesn't eat much, however where else can I find a spacious and peaceful (comparatively) brazalian BBQ in the city?
First thing I noticed was how spacious this place is, which I really liked. Tables were set up in long rows (like harry potter dining hall style^^), lighting was nice and I liked the decor - it's simple, clean and not cluttered. We were shown to our table and the waitress explained that everything is included in the $49pp, except drinks. And we didn't need to do anything and the food will be brought to us - perfect! Then sure enough few seconds later the wait staff start bringing around food to offer us. They also brought us sides of beans, rice and creamy potatoes. I'm not used to going to a restaurant, then sit down amd start eating straight away, so that felt a bit weird. But hey, no waiting for food!!! Can't complain about that. :)
Overall I thought the food is okay, some meats better than others but I guess that depends on personal preference. Their cheese balls are supposedly good but I found them to be a bit doughy/plasticky. It's a great place for meat lovers but I personally would've like a bigger variety of veggies to balance the meat (though we only had 3 salads offered: caesar, greek and rocket). Also, a lot of the food came in small amounts so there wasn't enough to give to everyone in our group (7 ppl), but it's ok because the staff will keep coming back once there's a new batch. Together with drinks (sangria & a pineapple cocktail of some sort) we ended up paying $60pp. I don't know how "Brazilian" the meal was and I wouldn't exactly say it's good value for money (unless you can eat a LOT of course) but it was still a decent experience. We had great service from friendly staff. It's worth a try if you love meat and are able to fit a lot of it in your tummy! :)
Carnivore heaven! Went here last night. We had the sangria to accompany dinner which was lovely. Delicious meat....non stop service. Amazing potato bake abd salads to go with dinner. Super friendly service as well. Will be back! 😊
The first thing you will notice is how big and spacious the restaurant really is and then all the long communal tables - perfect for groups. There were just the 2 of us, so we were seated at the smaller tables, dotted around the restaurant. They offer 2 seatings on Friday and Saturday nights, 6pm and 8pm. We decided to have an early dinner so booked for 6pm. During our dinner, we figured we probably did not need to book, as although there were many diners, there were still a lot of empty tables. I am unsure if their 8pm seating is more popular, but best to book to be sure.
After being seated, a waitress came over and explained the menu, letting us know that we did not need to order anything, as along with the meats, the sides and sauces would be served to our table throughout the night. This is a bit different to other churrascarias, as normally we would have to order our preferred sides. We ordered some drinks and the waitress asked us if we would like to start off with some rice and baked potatoes and although we initially declined, she insisted that the potatoes were really good, so we decided to give them a try. The potatoes were indeed nice, but not the kind of thing you would want to fill up on. Don't waste your stomach space on these!
The meats started coming out soon after, with the chorizo and chicken sausages coming around quite often. Most meats came out on a plate, already carved up, and the waiters simply used tongs to serve from the plate to yours. There isn't anything that is carved up in front of you, as anything that are on skewers are already portioned and are just pulled out eg. chorizo, chicken hearts, chunks of chicken etc. Beef and lamb cuts are really good, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Grilled haloumi was delicious and the chicken hearts were brought out more regularly than other places we had been to. I did not enjoy any of the pork however, as they were a little too dry for my liking. After about 6 meat offerings, the waiters started bringing out the sides. These included Greek, caesar and rocket salads, French fries, green beans, cheese bread etc. I was a little disappointed to not see any polenta or cassava chips amongst the sides. They alternated between the meats and the sides during service.
Servings are really generous and waiters even ask you how much you want of something. They are not stingy and are more than happy with any requests. They are also very attentive, walking around to see if tables needed anything and very observant when our supply of chimichurri and salsa needed refilling.
Unfortunately, there were a few things on the menu that were not on rotation, the peri peri chicken in particular. At the end of our meal, we asked a waiter if there were any BBQ pineapple and he said they had run out, which was quite strange, considering we were dining during the earlier seating and we did not see any at all during the night. We decided to try the fried banana and they were delicious. Freshly fried, the bananas were soft and sweet with a light and crispy batter, coated in cinnamon sugar.
$49pp for all you can eat BBQ meats, sides and sauces. Pretty good, considering other places charge a bit more and extra for sauce to accompany your meal. Great place for carnivores.
Very good Brazilian I must say. After having dined at my fair share of Brazilian Churrasco restaurants (four in total) including one in Rio Di Janiero. This is the best, probably equal with the recently closed Viva Brazil in Melbourne.
Top notch meats, from smoked to BBQed. Cool but odd delicious sides including fries and cheese bread. Friendly staff! Questionable tables and chairs however. Solid value at $49 per head.
With International Prostate Cancer month just around the corner – September is here already? – the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia is kicking off their BIG AUSSIE BARBIE campaign on August 29th! Now I may be stuck inside a one bedroom apartment with no balcony, but I think it would be great to get some inspiration going by making this week BARBECUE WEEK , where we celebrate everything that’s smoky and slow-cooked to tender deliciousness. From what I can see, there’s just about a practice in every culture that involves smoke, meat, and salt. It’s easy to see how this delicious practice would come about – I’m sure when fire was discovered it was a simple next step to add meat to the mix! Each culture has their own variation, and that mostly gets expressed in the marinade and spice mixes used on the meats. Bar-B-Q – America Source: Anthony Quintano Now say it again in a Southern accent! Go on, you know you want to. I know that the variations of BBQ within America itself could fill
Not as good as one in Leichhardt.
All female servers, all male bar staff? WTF is that all about, terribly sexist for a central Sydney restaurant!
My partner and I had dinner yesterday.
The location is just huge and can accommodate many guests, probably too many at one time.
It was a week night, so not too busy. It was noisy and anything above this level would have been annoying. Service was quick, maybe a bit too quick as plates were filling up. Waiting staff was attentive.
The potatoes, the BBQ eggplants, banana fritters and the chicken are a hit!
Beef was good but sometimes too cooked for our liking.
We had a Brazilian cab sav which was inexpensive and matched the BBQ style food vet well.
We would definitely come back.
This place is definitely worth a visit; if you like red meat you'll be spoiled for choice. Everything is cooked to perfection and brought to your table. They also have some salads and veggies. By the end of your meal you will undoubtedly be very full! Great sangria too and good deserts. Service was friendly but perhaps at some times slow (which is understandable considering how busy they get). Would def. come back again :)
If you love red meat then this is the place for you!! If you can only eat a limited amount, then you'll never get your money's worth. You pay a flat fee and eat until you drop, but there are also grilled veggies and salads on offer. The food is delicious, drinks are reasonably priced and the service is really great. Good place for groups, the restaurant has a great party atmosphere!
If you like to eat. This place is one of my all time favourites.
The maître d' Norma is an absolute gem. I generally come here once every couple of months, usually with a group of between 4 to 10. She always remembers me and goes above and beyond with her service.
The restaurant is perfect for groups, and seems more popular with the blokes than the ladies (it is very loud and you want to be a big eater to make the most of it!). That said, there was a hens night there last night.
Friday and Saturday there is only two seating times, 6pm or 8pm, with 8pm being the most popular. Other nights you can book or arrive anytime. If you want 8pm on Friday or Saturday, it pays to book a week ahead and arrive at either 7.45pm or 8.20pm if you don't want to stand - there is around 200 people for the 8pm seating.
The array of food on offer is phenomenal. Many different types of steak, such as eye fillet, scotch fillet, baby beef, parmesan beef. There is Brazilian chicken thigh and chilli chicken thigh. The grilled cheese is also delicious! Plus lots of other items on the menu - check out the website. There are no salads included, but the $11.50 Greek salad is HUGE, easily serves four people.
The service is also fantastic.
The price - $38 per person. The cocktails are nice, but pricey-ish, the wine list however is very reasonable. There is an AMAZING Tassie Pinot Noir on the list - Storm Bay 2008 - $45 per bottle - it is phenomenal.
I honestly can't fault this place!
The staff are always friendly and theres always an enourmous amount of food. I could eat the cheese bread for days!!! So delicious
You can't beat the meat. Meat lovers - this is for you. $39 for all you can eat meat.
It all sounds a bit gross really. But once you get into the swing of it, you find it hard to stop. Pork, lamb, chicken, heart, ham, sirloin... it just keeps coming. That is, until you flip your disk over to say "No more. My liver is playing up".
Very tasty. Just know your limits. The meat hangover is real.
Good times but Uncomfortable Seating.. Meat night. Vegetarians beware. Churrasco Sydney restaurant serving grilled meat, offering as much as you can eat: with the waiters moving around the restaurant with their skewers, slicing meat onto your plate. We enjoyed the food, wine and service. The menu is a set $38. The uncomfortable short wooden stools are the only issue from the night but I believe this is a ploy to ensure client turnover is as frequent as possible.
Awesome. This is as good as it gets so who needs more. I would definitely recommend it for meat lovers. But be warned. You will feel guilty having to send the waitress away when you reach your limit. Don't forget to finish off with churros. Heaven.
Ultimate brazillian style BBQ with meat that melts in your mouth! Top service, check this place out for sure!! Good stuff!
Meat Lovers. We had a birthday party here with group booking of about 20. For those who are meat lovers you will certainly enjoy this place. The food comes to your table continuously. We had chicken, lamb, beef, pork all marinated with wonderful flavours. For those who like to eat alot this place is definitely value for money,
Excellent. Great service and A LOT OF FOOD. I came here with some friends and we had an awesome time. The food just kept coming ... also good Brazilian drinks like Caipirinas and Skol beer.
Delicious meat and sides, be ready to eat a lot, loved the wine selection and the cheese bread.
Wow great service and great food. Came for mothers day and staff friendly. A must attend restaurant. Only thing was that the meat for me was a little under cooked inside but that is a personal preference. Food was great an reasonably priced. Will be back again.
Meat and more meat. BBQ steak, chicken, cheese, even pineapple. Love the ambience and their service is great. Definitely recommended! They only have one Brazillian beer (Nova Schin) which is alright. I wish they had more selections.
The service has dropped of since it has opened and since it expanded into a new sexton. Good food.
It's a meat-a-thon, no veggies in sight. Great meat tho. Would def go back
Wish what a meat fest! Great place for a large group dinner and all you can eat meat and side orders for $35 it's great value.
$35 buys you a great all you can eat tasty brazilian BBQ meats (think yumcha). Great night out!
If you want Brazilian food but not too pricey but does not compromise the taste?? Espetus is the place to go.
The customer service was great. The food was so tasty. The vibe was great.
You can seat by two or with a large group.
The flavor on the beef and the spicy chicken wings was yummmo 😋
The pineapple and banana was delicious 😋😋😋
Great place, nice simple layout, staff were very nice and provided excellent service. Food was delicious. I would have like some more veggies, like green beans or broccoli, having said that the salads were delicious. Will definitely go again. The kids loved the cheesy bread and outdoor l of course the fresh fried chips
I came here on a saturday night and managed to get a table without a booking. The staff were wonderful and super friendly. They had the typical food you would find at a brazlian joint. I would go back again ❤️
I love this place so much. My husband and I usually come once a month (sometimes more) and have been coming for years as we (particularly me) are both big meat eaters. I go through phases of favourite dishes, it used the be the beef ribs, then it was chicken wrapped bacon and now it is beef chuck with mushroom sauce. Fried bananas will always be a fav to finish with. Far out, they are good!
The service is very good, usually not waiting long between coming around. Also the drinks are really well priced. I have never left hungry, and the staff are very nice with any special requests and never make you feel bad for asking for more if you want it. I’m currently pregnant and let me tell you, this place HITS THE SPOT.
One of the best Brazilian restaurants i have eaten at. The staff are very friendly and are always coming around to offer you more food, the meats are delicious and perfectly cooked. We ate until we couldn't eat any more. I had 2 cocktails and they were delicious. Street parking is hard to find, but if you are happy to walk a bit ( good to walk off some of the food coma on the way back to the car)
Great place to have a gathering with friends. I had the vegetarian option and it was still delicious. My friends had the meat options and thought it was very good. The variety was fantastic and the servers were very friendly, tempting us with extra servings. I would definitely recommend this place!
I came to this place as my cousin recommended. I don't have words to describe how amazing it is the food. Really quick the services and the girls are really friendly and nice. My in law, she loved and kept asking for fried bananas and grilled pineapple. The place is pretty cozy and really nice to bring family and friends.
We will definitely come back as the menu is really tasting. For who loves a traditional brazilian bbq, come here and try and help this business to be open.
