Review The North End Cafe - Sydney

Deliciously soft and flavoursome corn fritters, similar in texture to pancakes. Well presented dishes. The smashed avocado was a bit stale and the bread over toasted.

Had a lovely brunch here. Have been here many times before and current menu and staff are wonderful. Was with my messy monkey and they were lovely and helpful. Delicious fritters and something a little different. Definitely recommend a visit

Best coffee in the Area. Maroubra has certainly come along way in the last 10 or so years with all the major brands of beans covered along the strip, the competition is fierce - not a bad thing at all. The stand out though is the coffee from The North End. Perhaps it's all in the making , I'm not sure but if you require a decent morning coffee then this is the place to go :) PS. Try the massive Bacon and Egg rolls, blows everything else away

What a lovely cafe. Walk a little further from the beach and you find your local gem. Menu offering has got a good variety, dishes are tasty plus the presentation is outstanding. Coffee is on point. Loving seating at the back, hidden, green palms like a little oasis. Big thumb up!

The North End has a lovely leafy courtyard to dine in and isn't too busy on a sunny weekend. Our food came out very quickly and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed scrambled eggs with sides and a vege plate. The food was nice, they made us extra crispy bacon as requested. The only downside was everything was a tad oily, the bread wasn't the best quality and I prefer to butter it myself. Be careful, as despite saying all day breakfast on the menu online they usually stop serving this at 11.45am.

Disappointed with the summer avo lover breakfast. $18 for 1 toast, 1 egg, very small.

Brilliant delicious brunch, had chili jam stack which the home made chili jam is such great combination with brunch with the added spices, and corn fritters waffles also full of flavors. And also love the simple and seaside theme deco.

Really lovely staff and great food. Nice location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the beach but still close enough that you’re a 2 min walk from the sand.

The worst açaí bowl ever. The service is slow and terrible. They don’t know how to treat the costumers. I waited 25 minutes for a açaí bowl and came a açaí smooth. So the girl rather than make another one, she just put in a bowl.

Funky little cafe full of hipsters, hippies and locals. I was hoping for some amazing food given the interesting fusion menu. But honestly I found it to be interesting and pretty, but lacking substance. I’m a big fan of knowing where my food is from (you can take the girl out of Adelaide...) and this hip place was far too posey for me. I don’t care about being cool, which I feel is more important here, I would prefer to see carefully chosen ingredients over quirky crafted decor. Each to their own.

The Service was good and The bacon and egg Turkish roll with tomato relish will blow your socks off.. great little feed..

Good tip, grab the food and make the small stroll down to the beach for a

Friendly staff and good vibe but pretty average food... Nutella crepe was served with generic supermarket chocolate syrup... Coffee was good.

We didn’t quite have time to enjoy a spread like Not Quite Nigella, but the North End Cafe was a cute and friendly spot to enjoy a quick lunch in Maroubra. OIt’s not on the beach, but still has a beachside vibe. Serving all day breakfast like simple poached eggs on rye $9.50….

I used to love this café but it's recently changed. I called to make a booking for a group of 15 people for brunch, and you'd swear I asked to set the place on fire, but they agreed as long as everyone ate and didn't just have coffee. Fair enough. We showed up and a table had been set for only 10 people so I had to wait until the table next to us left and pull up more chairs. People had to stand until then. The menu choice had shrunk and the service was slow. No more table service, you had to order and pay at the counter which meant all 15 of us had to line up! The only saving grace was that as always the food was delicious. No longer my local fav sadly.

Pretty funky inside. Creative and innovative. Cute menus. Good coffee. There were cute little chickens and a dog when I went to use the toilet. That was pretty fun! Hard to find, but you should visit!

Nice funky Cafe. Good quiet atmosphere on the corner. However found that the burger "sandwiches" were overpriced for what you got. However wasn't bad in taste.

This is my favourite local cafe in Maroubra - great coffee, lovely service, staff and ambiance. The BLAT is to die for, hoping they re-open for dinner in the summer!

Funky spot... food hit n miss. ...wish the coffee was better. It's ok. Burgers are great. Didn't like the lamb shoulder dish. Good music. Friendly service.
Grrrrah
Mouldy cake. Bought a slice of cake from here, was enjoying it untill I broke into the middle and found mould growing in it. For someone that is pregnant this is rather unsettling.
I Have eaten other things from here also and didn't find it that great, over priced and nothing special

There isn't a kid's menu but you won't have a problem finding something for your little ones to eat off the menu. The little bulls went for freshly baked berry muffins (still warm from the oven) at $3 each. They also had a milkshake ($4) and babycino ($2) - however there was a complaint from the littlest bull cause it lacked a marshmallow!

Best Bacon and Egg Roll Ever. Best Bacon and Eggs and Coffee in Maroubra by far. Friendly service too. Top notch joint, is expensive but they deliver the goods! Bacon and Egg on Turkish was the best I've ever had!

We stumbled across this cafe - and it was a yummy surprise. Sumptuous breakfast, and love their very éclatic decor. We went for their Sat Brazilian BBQ buffets a couple of times and the meats are awesome too. Family friendly place - with a small toy area and a storybook converted to a menu. My kids all love coming here too!

I went there once for breakfast and food was really nice. My problem was we both didn't feel welcome and there was this weird feeling in the air and customer service was a bit odd. This place should definitely work on their customer service because environment is great and food is good.

Dislike. Went for breakfast at the North End Cafe on Saturday with my two sons. everything was ok to start with, but then we waited for the service to arrived. The new arrival on the other table was served first while we wait for ours. Food might be ok for locals, but we found it mediocre, could have a better feed at another cafe for cheaper price. Next thing was, my son waited for his shake which never arrived and we were nearly finish with our breakfast. We had to cancel it. For a 5 star review cafe, the people were incompetent. First & last time to go there. I am not mean, I just want good service if I will be paying for a not-so-cheap breakfast. With that, I am sorry, but I cannot leave a tip for non-existing service. I was asked about the service and I told him the truth - I never got an apology. With an apology, I could have gone back and leave them a tip.....

Awesome!. This is becoming our family's favourite place at Maroubra. The food is excellent and the portions are very generous.

Kids' corner is a great addition and menus inside kids books is a great idea as well.
Yet to try the brazilian BBQ!

Food great... Service not so great.. I really like this cafe I think Maroubra ( Beach ) needs more of these places. I have eaten here for breakfast several times and the food has always been great! The past two occasions I have went with a couple of friends and the service has been poor. Orders have been mixed up, drinks forgotten and staff unsure about specials. Yesterday we were 10mins too late to order from the breakfast menu, only went to 12pm and the all day breakfast menu is very limited. Four of us were eating and my friends meal order wasn't placed so we received our food and she was left waiting while we ate. It eventually came and we ended up taking it away. There seems to be too many staff placing orders and not communicating. Coming from a service background it's frustrating to watch as I wanted to jump in and give them advice. The staff did come over to apologise but it was " sorry it won't be long' apology. Would have been great if the manager or supervisor came over and offered another round of coffees free of charge while we waited for the forgotten order, considering we ended up spending over $70 on brunch. It is disappointing as a local to receive this kind of service.
They do a Brazilian BQQ on the weekends for dinner. I would like to try it before I decide I wouldn't go back.
