Ginger Crunch : 😍 Amazing
Almond & Pear Tart : 😍 Amazing
Cute bakery that also sell their own products on the side. The ginger crunch was really good. The oat base was crispy and crumbly and the ginger top was definitely ‘gingery’. The Almond & Pear Tart was also really tasty. The perfectly toasted oat crumble on the top just kept us going in for more spoonfuls. The tart base was also baked perfectly. I would definitely come back to try out their savoury foods.
Tried the pumpkin and feta tart even though i hate pumpkin but it ended up being so so yummy and so filling! was a great treat to have in the morning and changed my mind about pumpkins
This was my favourite bakery when I was based in Bondi Junction; the flourless chocolate cake was my weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) guilty pleasure and just amazing when eaten with creme fraiche (bought separately at Woolworths).
As we have moved nearby, I had to try this place as it seems to be always busy.
When something is labelled 'our signature donuts' how can I say no? There are two sizes and I had to get the bigger one that is filled with raspberry jam and vanilla custard. This was enjoyed by the whole family and we also tried their brownie which was rich but good.
This place will not be good for my waistline!
Love the name of the business - has a great ring to it.
Great delicious sweets and savories to suit any palette. I've eaten the salted caramel brownie which is decadent, rich and fudgey. Perfect. And their donuts are a must!
He shop front is quite small but it's a great to enjoy takeaway!
Everything I've tried here has been worth every calorie. The cabinet is laden with a huge variety of classical baked goods making the decision rather difficult! I'm particularly fond of the almond, raspberry, lemon curd and rosewater slice, but I don't think you can really go wrong! The quiches are also yummy, although maybe a bit smooth for my taste. Coffee is good too. Service is very friendly!
Had Orange Mandarin Cake and Lemon drizzled cake just now. These cake are flourless ( gf). Both taste good but a little too sweet for my taste.
This place is always busy and that's because the food and coffee are incredible. You can't walk past this small little cafe without oooing and arghing at the incredible pastries, cakes, tarts, pies and everything else in the window. Do yourself a favour and grab a clerks cinnamon swirl and some chicken sambos and you won't be sorry. They also just launched a cookbook which is as incredible as the food display.
Small but perfectly formed as they say. This tiny cafe does great cakes and slices, the only problem being that it is seriously challenging deciding between them. I don't eat a lot of sweet things so when I do, I like them to be seriously good. The Cook and Baker delivers.
Hearty breakfast close to home! Great coffees, great pastries and fabulous sandwiches. My croque madam hit the spot! Love the presentation but did not get to try their pies as they were all sold out.
Little Lauren's Adventures
+4.5
It’s an amazing combination of fresh cream, home made jam and a dough that is light and not overly sweet. I fell in love, thus began m
My new favourite. Everything is delicious. Go quickly, go often.
Food and service exceptional. Everything tastes just as delicious as it looks. Highly recommended.
Most friendly people around, at 6:30 am. And mandarine cake is good, as well.
Everything simply amazing!. Have been here a number of times and have so far tried the jam and cream donut, salted caramel slice, brekky bar, flourless choc cake and the roast beef and apple slaw sandwich and all were incredible! cant pick any faults with any of them!! always consistent and cant wait to try everything else on offer! yum yum yuuuuuum
Great service and good selection of savoury and sweets. Loved the vanilla cream donut with raspberry. Amazing!! Individual quiches were also good. Nice coffee.
Divine. Beautiful homemade pies and baked goods! freshly made and full of flavour. I would highly recommend the Spanish chicken pie topped with delicious chunky tomato relish, and for dessert you can't go past the jam and cream filled donut. Needless to say I will be back!
Come here first thing in the morning whenever I can to get our favourite croissant fix but always we were met by a queue, and the queue is only for local bikers, joggers and just casual hungry residents like us! Really happy that they have moved to a newer and better shop opposite from where they used to be. Croissants are the best in our opinion but coffee, cakes and other pastries are just as amazing.
Popped in for a quick coffee and grabbed a chocolate croissant. Coffee was very good. Croissant tasted good but was soft rather than crunchy and flaky as it should be. Probably would have been a lot better if I came in the morning. Cakes looked delicious so will have to come back to try a few more things.
Great big chilled cabinet showing off all of the wonderful sweet and savoury treats with a window at the end looking into the newly fitted out kitchen.
One of the nicer spots in Bondi Junction. Equidistant to the Westfield and the park, with adequate seating out the front and efficient service in the cafe.
Definitely more set up for take away, but we ate a frittata and Reuben sandwich on the tables and chairs on the footpath.
Will definitely be back to try some of the sweets.
We ordered croissants and pastries here on a rainy Monday morning and there was still a queue. But service was brisk and efficient. The food was very good. It’s quite the local institution.
Not a better croissant in the suburb. The tarts are amazing too, but are they quiches?? Even if they were, I'd buy them a second time.
Consistent coffee!
Southern Districts Rugby Club held a Ladies Day event in July 2022. It was our first time back since pre COVID and expectations were very high indeed from both the club and the community of mums, sisters, wives, girlfriends and friends.
We went all out with our planning to ensure the day was raved about and it was critical that the food was superb. A double marquee, 25 cocktail style tables, live music, raffles galore and endless canapés were the order of the day.
We chose Cook & Baker because of their reputation and they did not disappoint.
They certainly came prepared. 5 staff, portable ovens, all the plates, napkins and a seemingly endless supply of hot and cold goodies.
They compliments and bubbles were flying all afternoon.
The best event in many many years.
Thanks Jodie and team.
See you in 2023.
The Brownie. Today I had my regular 2 pm chocolate craving and so naturally I walked around the corner in the direction of cook and baker for a chocolate croissant. To my dismay but not so much my surprise, they did not have any left so I decided to opt for the salted brownie. MY GOD. My chances of ever saving enough to buy a house in Sydney are now RUINED because not only do they do the best coffee in the junction, but they also serve up a life-changing brownie. Fluffy and moist, sweet but not overly so, a satisfying amount of salted caramel, I could go on but I want to to finish the rest of the brownie. bye!
Unreal svaoury and sweet selection. We'll be back for both. Highly recommended.
