This is the best Sandwich I have ever had. The homemade dressing made it so delicious and packed with incredibly fresh produce. It was so big it lasted me 2 meals. I can not wait to go back again

You can actually have a fairly normal sized sandwich but the "big one" uses an enormous loaf - bigger than North Sandwiches in the city, good bread too. The ingredients (good quality, cut fresh) are heaped on so it's really quite hard to eat. Also expensive - $15 for my schnitzel with a lot of extras - but you can probably get two meals out of it. Quite an experience but the size gets a bit silly.

One of my favourite sandwich shops.

The schnitzel when fresh is seriously good.

The potato salad adds carbs and volume. Like serious volume. I always get this.

And let's just say these sandwiches are not for the faint hearted. I've seen grown men shake at the sight of this beast.

Sandwich nazi? Sandwich king? Who cares just prepare to be full

I love gourmet sandwiches and when I have a craving for one, Malibu Sydney is the first place I think of to satisfy my craving.

Maybe the best salad of my life. None of this insipid wilted lettuce and a few tomatoes: a robust mix of greenery, whole green beans, Roma tomatoes, boiled potato and sweet potato, red cabbage slaw, topped with a metric tonne of delicious hommus. Enormous serve for a mere $11. Probably not the healthiest salad in the world, but by Jove, one of the yummiest!

New York style portions in downtown Sydney. What a fabulous formula. Huge servings. Fresh ingredients. Great European cooking.
I've now been to Malibu twice in 2 weeks. And both times the experience has been consistently first rate.
Based on prior reviews, I expected we might encounter a Seinfeld-esque soup nazi experience. Instead we were greeted by talkative and welcoming Marcella and her partner, both hands-on and proudly making door-stop sized sandwiches with care and attention.
Each thick sliced sandwich we saw being made averaged a whopping 10 cm high and 14 cm across.
Full of scrumptious potato salad, dill pickles, sweet potato, home made mayo/aioli, zucchini, the freshest of veggies and more ....each sandwich was varied only by a menu of add-ons and the choice of main filling - beef, tuna or schnitzel. Mmmm :)
My Malibu favourite - easily the fress-fest schnitzel and salad sandwich. This was equalled by the belly filling schnitzel salad - OMG. Both amazingly huge and New York deli in portion size.
Will I return? Happliy. But only after a week has past - which is the duration I expect to digest today's meal.

Great sandwiches and generous portions! Beautiful little hole in the wall. Not sure why there's a lot of reviews saying the owner is rude. Been nothing but polite whenever i've been there.

I got their tomato bocconcini sandwich with Vienna sandwich. It was really refreshing and the ingredients were also super fresh. This is the best place for a fat sandwich, like it was as huge as my face for less than ten dollars. This is so worth, an economical lunch but still so delicious and satisfying. It is CASH ONLY so remember to get cash! Otherwise there’s a 7 eleven around the corner.

This is a hole in the wall hidden gem just next to central station! Definitely recommend it! The sandwiches are cheap and huuuuuuge! He is very generous with the portions. There’s a big bowl of home made schnitzel which always gets my mouth watering whenever I go. The guy also makes his own herb mayonnaise which is delicious and he makes his own sundries tomato too which is also great. Seriously though, the sandwiches are huge. You can ask for one type of bread (can’t remember which one now) and it is the size of an rugby ball. Could not believe it. Definitely worth checking out!

These guys do amazing sandwiches & salads. You can get a big boy sandwich that’s perfect to share. Get here at 12:30 to avoid lines, the chicken schnitzel can run out after 1pm
