Best pub in Sydney! No where else will you find such an eclectic bar full of friendly locals drinkers, workers, young people and old. Pull up a seat at the bar and chat to the bartender or a stranger. Solid food and good range of beers on tap. You'll feel transported back in time with the old art and pictures on the wall. No sports, no pokies, no nonsense - a true gem in Woolloomooloo.
Had one night booked in this hotel for a week-end trip in Sydney but could not make it at the very last minute due to Covid. Called the hotel with less than 24 hour notice, staffs and manager were absolutely amazing and helpful, refunded my booking when the policy had a no cancellation policy. I can't wait to visit next time!!
Great little old school pub. Huge servings, great value too. Chicken Parma and fish and chips almost perfect. Unfortunately the mash potatoes and veg were lukewarm and the mash could have been creamier. The battered fish was amazing but some parts of the batter were still soggy and not crisped though. Parma didn't have ham on it but still super tasty
Awesome pub, great to roll down to after the Art Gallery of NSW. Local vibe, awesome outdoor seating, and good beer. Always a hit when I bring out-of-towners.
Great friendly pud. Bar staff very professional, service was excellent. Being back a couple of times on Sundays to listen to music. 👍
Great old style pub but doesn't feel tired. Try their brown ale - it's yummy
Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly and interactive staff, quite busy for and great vibe for a relatively quiet part of town.
