I came here with my friends on a Saturday evening. We waited about 5 minutes for a table for 5 which wasn't long at all. The 5th anniversary dishes were very popular. A few minutes after we ordered, the food arrived. I was extremely impressed by the speed of the food getting to us! I ordered the bonito ramen because I wanted to eat bamboo shoots. The dish was a generous serving size and flavoursome. The only critique I have is to have some ramen dishes that have meat and vegetables. I always find that there aren't enough greens in ramen dishes for my liking.

Japanese cuisine is a all time favorite, they make one of the best cuisine in the world! Ippuddo is an example of that. They specialize in ramen ( noodle soup) and it was delicious. There are other options in the menu but I would recommend their ramen and their Karage.

Very tasty broth. My boyfriend absolutely loves this place. He gets extra noodles and the hard noodles. We usually get the karakmen. The egg was cooked perfectly and the way japanese eggs should be cooked.

Great customer service. As always Ippudo's broth was rich and tasty.

What caught us offguard was the option to add an extra serving of ramen for only $1!

Would definitely recommend

I ordered the light chicken broth ramen with chicken breast. The soup was delicious and light so it was easy to drink. Portions are OK, not big but not small. Tbh not a lot of meat with this- only two thinly sliced pieces. Noodles are chewy which is what I like.

Came here to try their special ramen for store's anniversary. It was $10 for a bowl. Broth was tonkotsu base, toppings included one piece of pork (slightly smoky and very tasty), spring onion, sesame, bean sprout and a spicy sauce. Their soup flavour was delicious and they accommodated my request to have the noodles softer than normal. Some may feel the portion size is inadequate and prefer to add aditional serving of noodle. Their egg is also yummy as an extra topping.

Love the idea of being able to choose the hardness of your ramen noodles as my parter likes his noodles harder and is usually unsatisfied by soft noodles. Broth was amazing but price range was a little high.

My first ramen experience, and I was not disappointed at all! Such a beautiful restaurant with excellent customer service! And the food it was just too perfect. Not only you get to choose your noodle but also can add different toppings on them for little extra charge. I loved this place and will visit again soon hopefully.

Was feeling japanese for lunch so i came into Ippudo. Lovely customer service with the water and easy ordering food. Got the Karaka Men with 3 large pieces of Karaage chicken with its special salad. My favourite part was the chicken which adding the lemon on them and mixing them with the special sauce given with the chicken. The ramen, i was feeling neutral about the taste, but thats my opinion cause I have tried alot of ramen places and they all taste the same. Would come back for other things other than the ramen. Thanks.

Good quality food, however, it took a while for the food to come out and it’s pretty expensive ramen.
I would recommend other ramen places if you’re not willing to pay $20 for their entry level ramen but worth the food quality

I was seated quickly and received great table service. The food came out quickly - I was quite distracted looking at all the spoons the restaurant had on their walls, I almost didn't notice my meal. I enjoyed every bit of food I had at this place. The only thing to note was their wagyu dish, the beef was sliced way too thick which made the meat quite chewy.

Have been curious to try this famous ramen noodle place in Sydney.
I visited their Central Park outlet at lunch time on weekdays but I noticed not many people were there.

Salmon Aburi Mentai Roll - $13
Lightly seated salmon sushi topped with avocado & mentai mayonnaise
I loveee mentai mayo and this one is definitely one of the best I've tried.
It was creamy and soft without being too salty. The salmon was also soft and a perfect combo with the delicious Japanese rice and mentai mayo.
The description on the menu said "topped with avocado" but I found myself eating cucumber instead of avocado which is fine.

Shiromaru Motoaji - $15
IPPUDO's original creamy tonkotsu broth served with thin & straight noodles, pork loin, bean sprouts, black fungus & spring onions. A classic Hakata-style ramen.
The noodle was good. It was chewy and good. Thumbs up for their pork loin as it was really tender and flavorful. The broth was good but didn't reached my expectation. It was more watery than thick broth that I expected. Even though it was flavorful but I prefer thick broth for ramen.

Overall, a good visit to this ramen place but I don't think I will visit this place near in the future for their ramen as I like my ramen with thick broth. But I will do visit this place for their sushi!

Perhaps the perfect place to escape from Sydney's depressing autumn weather, Ippudo did not disappoint.

We ordered the shiromaru motoaji and akamaru shinaji ramens, along with mentai rice and a pork bun.

The shiromaru motoaji broth was delicious and comforting, while the noodles were nice and al dente. The pork belly was cooked well and was plentiful, as was the black fungus. I ordered it with the addition of the flavoured egg which was good, but in my opinion it was slightly overdone. I was expecting a little more runniness. Gorgeous though, nonetheless.

I only tasted the broth from the akamaru shinaji but it had a lovely zing to it from the additional miso. Might order it next time!

The mentai rice was an unusual yet delicious find. Delightfully fishy and fresh, my only criticism is that it was too small!

And the pork bun? Completely out of this world. Beautifully soft and fluffy bun, while the marinated pork chashu and mayonnaise complemented each other perfectly with just the right amount of tang.

Service was generally good, they did forget our water though and our table didn't have any sauces (we had to steal from the empty table next to us 😂).

Regardless, we will most definitely be back! 😆

Ah, the famous Ippudo ramen chain from Japan. Let me quote from their website: ‘IPPUDO was founded in 1985 in Japan’s ramen capital of Hakata by Shigemi Kawahara, the internationally renowned Ramen King. With over 80 stores in Japan, IPPUDO is now spreading throughout the world its authentic ramen.’

I've been to Ippudo quite a few times at this branch. It is much quicker to grab a seat here than the one at the cbd. The staff are always super friendly when I'm there.

My recommendations:
- Yamaimo Fries (quite for small portion for what you pay for but I do recommend you try this at least once!)
- Choice of 3 buns (for $13 you get to choose from chicken, pork or shrimp bun - my favourite is the pork bun)
- Shiromaru Motoaji (basic creamy tonkotsu broth with noodles, pork loin, bean sprouts, black fungus and spring onions - can't go wrong with that! )

Definitely one of my favourite places to go for Japanese cruisine.

I was in the city waiting for my partner to finish work. I had read reviews and knew Ippudo had outdoor seating. It's kind of hard to find Japanese restaurants that have out door seating. So I headed to Central Park shopping centre to check it out.

I confirmed that the outside seating existed and I noticed that the seasonal menu was on its last day. Texted partner to come and have ramen. Cobalt came too.  We ordered seasonal miso ramen with extra pork and gyoza, noodles hard. The ramen soup base wasn't as flavoursome as I would like. The gyoza were tasty and fresh. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Overall it was good but not quite what I am looking for. Good but not spectacular.

I don't know what exactly I am looking for in regards to Ramen. Something is not quite right. My favourite is red dragon ramen from Fukuryu Ramen in Melbourne. I'm can't find anything similar here.

I didn't manage to take any photos as I got distracted by a toddler with whooping cough that was walking past with her family. It appears that I am the only person who forgets to photograph their food regularly.

Much easier to get a table than the one in the city. The flavor is the same as it is the same Ippudo, just a different branch. Their tonkotsu is as amazing as always and I always go with the hard noodles. Their sushi is also good although not as good as their ramen. Anyways, in terms of interior I think this place is better than the CBD because it has better lighting and seating.

This newer chain has great soup bases and the staff recommend how to eat some of them now which is an improvement from when they first opened. This is quality ramen and you pay more for it, but the clean decor and the portions are worth it. Still exploring the menu here but this is right up there in the fight for best ramen of Sydney with Gunshara Ramen and Ramen Ikkyu. Service fine, though a bit busy at the time. Not your rustic ramen feel if you're looking for that, but a quality cuisine experience.

Soup: the tonkotsu soup was tasty and creamy. A nice rich pork flavour to it and not too salty. The shoyu had enough flavour however lacking that 'wow' factor. No MSG tasted.
Noodles: recommend choosing medium. Texture okay, fresh taste and quite bouncy.
Egg: yolk seemed to show it was just a little overcooked, and the egg overall lacked flavour.
Meat: standard, good taste.
Overall great ramen, but may be a little over valued for the quality.

We always go to the Ippudo inside the westfield in Sydney cause it's convenient. But I'm liking this one in Chippendale a lot better. It's a lot smaller and much more humble which makes me feel like we're back in Japan again. The service is always immaculate and the Akamaru and Karaka Men specials are always super delicious! Yeah it's definitely pricey ramen, but maaaan if you get the chance to try their limited time only 'Kuro' noodles dish, you're in for a treat.

It had been years since we visited the Ippudo in Westfield Sydney. All we could remember from this was the awesome taste of their baos. Not their ramen, but their baos. But this time round, it's a completely different story.

Ippudo has boosted their menu- we find that they are now offering Wagyu Tataki for $12. It's paired with a slightly sweet soy dipping sauce and served with wasabi and raddish. This was a fantastic start to the meal- thinly sliced and the marbling throughout the meat delicately sits in your mouth and dissolves. Tender, soft and tasty.

We were also able to order the limited time only 'Kuro Koyu' noodles- priced at $14. These are thicker, almost udon noodle-looking handmade noodles which are then swamped with a black garlic, onion and black pepper broth. If this doesn't slap a massive "Konichiwa" to your tastebuds, then I don't know what will. This dish was absolutely packed with flavour so deep, only Adele wishes she was rolling in it. My 4.5 rating is hugely derived from this dish alone. I would happily go back and have these noodles again.

My friend ordered the Akamaru Special- this is Ippudo's special miso and garlic broth-based ramen. At $24 you get all the add ons: flavoured eggs, nori sheets, bamboo, mushrooms and bean sprouts. Despite being full, my friend persisted to finish the ramen because the broth was so damn tasty.

Not sure whether our tastebuds have somehow become more sophisticated in the world of ramen, or because we were insanely hungry, but we truly believe the ramen from Ippudo has improved immensely! Give them another chance- especially if you can make it to their Kuro Koyu Noodles.

Ippudo is generally a bit more expensive than the rest for the ramen. But I do like the hakata-style ramen. I also like the bao (pork). They also do a really good student deal (too bad I'm not a student) where you get a bao and a ramen for $11-12 or something.

Really liked everything I've had from here, Had most of the varieties of richer ramens, always nice, highly recommend the fried chicken, very moist and crispy yet very light (no heavy coating).

Sometimes awkward seating (if sharing a table), or be sat at the row of 2 person. Only a couple of good seats (e.g. the booth at the back).

Haven't tried the stranger menu choices (pork buns etc) mostly stuck with ramen.

I've been to Ippudo a number of times and the food is consistently good. They have a large selection of ramen on their regular menu, plus occasional "seasonal" ramen specials. At the time of writing it's a broth based on bonito which is quite nice and smokey flavoured. My favourite however is probably the Akamaru. The gyoza is also very nice, as are the pork puns which feel a little incongruous however welcomed.
Service and setting are both well executed which is to be expected as the prices are more expensive than comparable restaurants. One thing that may be worth looking out for is the dinner special after a 6pm for $20 that includes a ramen, drink and a pork bun!
Definitely consider Ippudo if you're looking for a reliable and good quality ramen experience.

Tried the dinner meal deal where you get a pork bun, choice of 1 x ramen & either a drink or ice cream for $20. I had tried the CBD branch a few years ago & was pretty sure there was a ramen that had a mix of two soup bases (one tonkatsu & the other was a dark colour) or maybe I was imagining it? Anyways the service was great & the guy that was serving us was very cheerful & helpful. We decided to try the noodles 'hard'. I personally think I would try them medium as I think I would prefer that texture over hard. We tried the Shiromaru Motoaji & the other was the Akamaru Shiraji. They both had their good qualities & quirks about them which made every mouthful exciting. Trying both noodles halfway also gave a refreshing contrast which made you confused as to whether or not to continue eating the swapped bowl or revert back to your first bowl. The pork bun was flavoursome & imho tastier than Momofuku (ok everyone can start hating me now) but with the amount of new 'bao' places it's hard to tell which one is the best as I haven't tried them all. This is part of the food district at Central Park and dining outside during night when it is nice weather is another great option that I would like to try. The dinner deal is pretty good value too!

Hello Authentic Japanese ramen! Came in and was greeted with a warm welcome. We ordered the pork and chicken baos and the current special that they had on(the name escapes me).

The baos were soft and succulent and I could of eaten them all day. The ramen was full of flavour and the meat was tender and soft. My friend who just came from Japan said how much it tasted like the Japanese counterpart. Price is a little on the higher side for ramen but definitely worth the price.

This is definitely the place to go for a cheap and delicious dinner. The $20 dinner option (after 6pm) will get you a delicious bbq pork bun, a huge bowl of ramen and a soft drink or icecream.

I could eat those soft tangy pork buns for the rest of my life! The shoyu ramen was great for my poor upset tummy and the chicken slices were succulent. I like that you can choose how hard you want your noodles to be. We also had the miso gyoza which were not on the dinner special. The gyoza themselves were fine, nothing spectacular. But the sauce was quite spicy which took me by surprise and should gave been noted on the menu. Hubs loved it though!

I'd like to confess that I'm no Ramen connoisseur. I'm not one to religiously scope out Ramen eateries and rave about their broth intensity or collagen factor. My palette is not accustomed to the pork-rich flavour of Tonkostsu, nor the full, complexity of Miso Ramen. But, nevertheless, I do love noodles of any sort and will willingly pursue any noodle restaurant to seek out some squiggly goodness. And when a Japanese restaurant by the name of Ippudo extends its branch out to the reasonably new Central Park Complex, you'll bet I'll be there in a heartbeat.

Ippudo Central Park is the second of the ever expanding Ramen noodle chain in Sydney. Expect a loud welcome, lots of flavour and a full belly when leaving. The vibrant atmosphere, big courtyard and noodles make it a great dining venue for little ones of all ages.

Central Park Sydney and Ramen noodles were quite new concepts for me before I was invited to the soft launch of the new Ippudo Japanese restaurant. I now know that ‘Ramen’ is a Japanese noodle soup dish usually served with meat or fish and a variety of toppings. Ippudo is widely acclaimed to have some of the best Ramen in Sydney and apparently the lines outside their flagship Westfield Sydney store are legendary. Ramen noodle soup is also incredibly filling and their location opposite UTS is a good move as there are plenty of hungry Uni students around.

Ippudo in Westfield CBD is very popular but the new Ippudo restaurant in Central Park on Broadway has some very exciting new menu items that Westfield does not have.  There are just some things you can't get at Westfield Ippudo! The ambiance has a very familiar Ippudo vibe, though adds a touch of class with a breathtaking feature wall of white soup spoons contrasting against the black Ippudo name - elegant and modern. The Seared Salmon Sushi ($13, below)  were quite generous portions of fresh salmon and creamy avocado wrapped around a bed of rice with tasty mentai sauce on top. The sauce was perhaps a tad too generous and overpowered the gorgeous salmon but it was still the absolute highlight dish of the night.  Ippudo's Japanese interpretation of fish and chips was very unique (below). The fried salmon fillet with chunky chips and fried egg had two new sauces - spicy ketchup and a sour cream mayo. The spicy ketchup packed a solid flavoursome punch, and the sour cream mayo a moreish dep

You have all probably heard about Ippudo, right? That ramen place you always hear about on Level 5 (food court level) at Westfields? The place with the famed silky smooth tonkotsu broth and super addictive pork buns that just keeps popping up on your Instagram feed? That place, which could quite potentially be one of Sydney's best ramen joints? No? None of that rings a bell? Well, I think it's about time you go check the place out and there's no better time than now because a second branch has just conveniently opened at Central Plaza (opposite UTS)! Ippudo 2.0 has managed to retained the same vibe as the one in Westfields while adding its own modern touches of elegance and charm. The same can be said about the menu, featuring items exclusive to the Central Park branch such as the chashu croquette and Japanese styled fish and chips! We started off with a homemade lemon lime bitter each, which was refreshing and addictively sweet. Seared Salmon Sushi ($13.00): Bite-sized temari salmon s
