Such a great vibe! With amazing food and really nice staff. The cocktail menu is so much fun too!!
Always come here for some drinks. It's dimly lit but has a nice vibe and the service is attentive. They're known for their smoking skull manhattan, which I recommend.
Amazing place and amazing people. You wouldn’t expect the food to be good when you normally go to a bar but I absolutely love the platter, and the grilled octopus and they also do a really nice gluten free pizza. Amazing service as always by Nick, always try to cater to everyone , very friendly and attentive.
All the cocktails and the secret shots off the menu ( ask the bartender and you may get it if your lucky ;) are incredible.
Enjoyed a great night with my best friends. It's been a long time that just 2 of us go out at night for a chat, leaving the babies at home! We wanted to find a bar which is cool and serve nice cocktails, and we definitely find one!
It was a little dark inside, but it perfectly makes us feel great.
I've always wanted to know where 'that place that has the skulls' was, and I finally went! Awesome vibes, drinks and bartenders! Definitely coming back again!
A nice and cozy bar conveniently located inside Regent Place! It had a dark ambiance, chill and upbeat music, and great selection of drinks from cocktails to craft beers. Great for drinks with a mate or a bigger group.
An amazing bar and restaurant. Tasty food and the cocktails are very impressive. Some of the best I’ve seen in Sydney. And the staff are amazing. Always down to have a good time. Definitely going back. 5 stars
Very cosy place, good for both meeting friends or bring someone on a date. Good music, delicious food and the staff is really friendly. Had a good time with friends drinking a Long Island skull and eating pizza.
I cannot fault this place.
Went to Regent Place on a Saturday and as expected, the entire arcade was full of hungry customers. Tried many restaurants and finally landed here at Assembly Bar - a quiet restaurant located on the ground floor of the arcade. Dimly lit with excellent service, a deliciously sounded-out menu and happy customers is what you experience at Assembly Bar - highly recommend!

I've been wanting to come here for a while and got the chance to over the weekend. The drinks are nice and sweet, just my kind of beverages! Nice relaxing atmosphere.
Such a lovely place. Staff are really friendly and the ambience is beautiful. Food is portioned well and pricing is reasonable. The pizzas here taste great. Such a good place to catch up with friends :)
Assembly Bar is one of my favourite bars located in Sydney CBD. They offer a variety of cocktails and wine, as well as a restaurant next door if you get hungry. The complimentary popcorn is always nice to nibble on whilst having a drink.
Good place to hang out for drinks with cozy atmosphere, ample sitting place inside and outside, wide drink menue (skull served beverages 👍) and descent value for money
Fantastic cocktails and pizzas, in a setting that is the perfect balance of gearing up for a night on the town and a proper sit-down dinner venue. Great service, decent prices and short wait time for food and drink.
Great bar, servers cocktails, bar food & free popcorn. We had the burger & chips which were delicious (better than I expected) plus the arancini balls. Cocktails were fun, one they put on fire. They also serve alcoholic skull heads! Would recommend the apple cocktail. Nice atmosphere, good lighting & music plus friendly staff.
Warm, cosy atmosphere with some gourmet Italian offerings. Had a great 'quattro formaggi' (pizza with four cheeses) with large crusts and a perfect dough thickness. Was also nice and light whilst managing to fill me up by quantity. Would recommend this place as a winter restaurant especially!
Great place to visit after work for a couple of drinks, the dark interior is a great setting for the place. They serve an awesome drink from a skull head which was a great entertainment and a delicious beverage.
Great place and friendly staff. Drinks were great and you can order food from next door delivered as well. There’s also a popcorn 🍿 machine as well ~ it’s a great little appetiser while having couple of drinks~
Hidden gem. What a cool place. Great drinks, friendly staff and less crowd make perfect recipe for this place. Will definitely visit again. Had a great time .
This is probably a great hangout after work! It’s loud, and the drinks were flowing. The drinks menu contained funky cocktails served in fancy glasses (the skull cocktails were especially cool). Good, central location and the beverage menu was very interesting. Come here for Friday night drinks or a late night out, but make sure you book because it gets crazy busy!
I really like the vibe at this bar, perfect for a night out with the girls or couples. Their staffs are very helpful and friendly. There's also FREE POPCORN at the corner.
In terms of food, their 'arancini balls' is to die for! The pizzas tasted amazing as well and the wait for food wasn't very long which is nice.
For drinks, the 'Cotton Candy Cocktail' is incredible, perfect for a sweet tooth like myself. The 'Vogue' is also really nice and refreshing with a hint of lychee taste. If you're with a group of friends, I would suggest going for 'The Voodoo'. It comes in a cool skeleton skull container with dry ice for the effect. In terms of taste, expect a little more sour as it is more on the citrusy side.

Super friendly staff, great cocktails, great ambience. Ordered secrets of a geisha and red fox - SO GOOD. Also ordered the prosciutto pizza and that was of course delicious. Would defs come again for both food and drinks!

Absolutely love this bar with it's cute location and tasty drinks! 👅
The food is delicious and who can say no to FREEE Popcorn!!!!
The pizzas are yum and the muscle risotto was light and tasty.
Definitely great spot for a Friday/Saturday night with the girls or date night 😘
Pizza is awesome here! Authentic nappoli style made by a real nappoli chef!
Great selection of cocktails too!
Prosciuto parmesan and rocket pizza was awesome as well as the pumpkin salad!
Nice quiet ambience for the middle of the city.
Came her for a friends bday drinks. Ordered 2 sparkling wines and a tequila shot after waiting quite a while (everyone was ordering cocktails so was taking a while!). Bar man gave me the shot on the house! For no apparent reason, maybe just for waiting. So that was really nice. I went back to order an Apperol spritz. They ran out of apperol 3/4 through the shot glass- totally fine I said just add more sparkling to it! They then gave me that on the house too because they didn't have Anouk apperol to make it properly! Was totally not expected and really nice. The guys were super friendly and the cocktails my mates got looked excellent. Will definitely go back
Full marks for cocktails though only ever have those in the sour range. Looking forward to trying their new menu. Only really go for drinks. Had food a couple of times and was less than impressed. Keen to try it again.
Have only been here for drinks. Very dark but cozy place with many seats. Crowded on a weekend but other nights were very nice. Friendly and efficient service. Bartenders are friendly and skilled. Love the espresso Martini the most. A little pricey but the experience was worth it.
Looking for a bar before dinner and movie, my husband and u were just wandering around George street trying to find somewhere nice and new to us but just when we were about give up and head to Albion, I saw a couple walk in here and luckily I followed in!
Great ambience and romantic with the tea candles on the tables. As we were here around 5.15pm (sat) the place was still empty with only a few tables occupied and the music wasn't loud that we had to yell across the table.
We saw the cocktail menu and their pizzas but as we had dinner plans elsewhere, we just got a glass of wine each and just relaxed.
I can imagine how busy this place would be during the week after work!
Located within the bowels of Regent Place, hidden among the restaurants and shops, you may not expect to find one of the city’s most awarded cocktail bars. But here it is.
With the mixologists speaking fluent cocktail, assemble for some of the best concoctions of your life. There’s all our standard favourites, along with the award-winning Linda Russian and nitrogen-flaming brews in skull-shaped vessels (the wine list isn’t so bad either). When I first visited, the bartender was keen to flex his cocktail-making muscle, making an off-menu cocktail for the husband – a chocolate-laced old-fashioned. It was quite good.
Cocktails aside, the decor is recycled industrial, the music is banging and there’s a spiral staircase that leads to a mezzanine level where cocktails are delivered by dumbwaiter.
Really loved this little bar tucked in Regent Place. Walking in, i really loved the overall ambiance. It was dark, but I could see plants, and a beautiful rustic theme everywhere. I loved the bookshelf they had stocked with alcohol bottles! I liked the drinks menu, in particular the fun range of cocktails and to-share drinks they had. I found service to be wonderful! The bartenders were friendly, and engaged so well with the customers. They even put on a little but bump dance while shaking up the cocktails - was super cute to watch. I liked that the music wasn't killing my ears as well. OOh and the cocktails were really delicious! Would definitely recommend 'vogue' and 'el pasaporte', because they were amazing.
I live in Fitzroy Melbourne and until recently Carlton. There are no shortage of pizza joints and I have tried most. This one beats them all. Such a light tasty base and fresh toppings made by a champion pizza maker in the best Italian wood fired oven. Sensational!
The wood-oven pizza was cooked right in front of my very eyes in approximately 60seconds and to absolute perfection. An excellent & highly recommended take away option.
Was invited in to take photos to promote an up and coming selfie competition - got a great spread of food to try.while I was there. Standouts were the amazing wood fired pizzas! Cocktail list at the bar was mighty impressive though. Good lunch menu - apparently completely different night time vibe.

This trendy bar is stashed away in Regent place but can only entered through the Liverpool St side, and is in hot pursuit of the recent trend of the 'speakeasy' bars that are popping up everywhere around town and surrounding areas.
This place brings out free popcorn for you to munch on while you drink their creative concoction. Assembly is known for their ultra trendy cocktails which are simply delicious. Forgot to take photos of them, as they were guzzled down before I could say boo! Truth be known, it wouldn't have done it any justice until you go there and try it for yourself.
Great little bar for after work drinks and catching up with friends. It can be slightly noisy inside, as they pump the music really loud after a certain time. That's when it's better to sit outside so you can here what your company has to say!
I am so happy I found this little gem tucked in the corner of regents place!
The ambience and interiors are excellent, especially when you go at night, there's fragrant tea light candles burning and a comfy sofa/seating arrangement available. There's also upstairs seating and outside seating, which ties everything together and creates a lovely industrial-Melbourne like vibe.
The cocktails are delicious, as expected as the prices are a little steep $18-$25. I ordered the Vogue; the marriage of flavours went beautifully together with hints of lychee and apple. Highly recommend.
We also ordered a margarita pizza, which was average, but their chips and truffle aioli were delicious!
Come here for the drinks, friendly people/staff, the ambience, or if you just want a chilled vibe with some mates!
I have always gone to drinks at Assesmbly for the chill and casual vibes, but it was a first to try the restaurant just directly across. The night was young, and the restaurant is dimly lit, some George Michael in the background to set the mood (very chill throw back vibes, which I enjoyed). The waiter that served us was really friendly, and had recommended us some cocktails according to our preferences. Upon arrival we knew they key item to order was the truffle pizza. As soon as the waiter served the pizza out you could instantly get the whiff of truffle and by that point I was already salivating. I am keen to come back and trying out their other pizzas on offer... and to listen to some more of George Michael's Careless Whisper ;)
Lunch Special $15, pizza or salad. Great variety of wood fire pizzas.
Prosciutto Pizza is well balanced, great base, fluffy and crispy. Pizza sauce is avergae, paste is a bit sour and overpowering.
Wagyu Salad, well balanced ingredients paired with medium/rare cut of steak. great mix of sauces. Only con is cabbage. Bitter taste ruins balance of the dish.
Great place, location and ambiance.
Nice variety of beers, tried chicken sesame, was very yummy and well cooked.
A nice place to go after office.
I'm really glad we checked out the restaurant addition to the impressive Assembly Bar. The staff are delightful - warm, welcoming, professional and personable. The ambiance is elegant yet vibey. The food was good, delicate flavours and quality produce. Small but smashing wine list.
Do: any of the cocktails. But the Vogue is especially good.
Don't: order first. Get a prime table outside then go order.
Tip: great place to start before going to the eateries close by.
Food was excellent with very decent prices as well! Service was incredibly thorough efficient and good looking too ;) Lovely lighting and decor as well in the seated restaurant. As for the drinks, some brilliant fare here! Everything we tried was divine and just the perfect level of strength. I particularly enjoyed the theatrics at the bar with all that smoking skull, flaming zombie and hot bartender action!
Will definitely return here. To be quite honest, I haven't experienced something this perfect. It's kind of too good to be true! Awesome awesome place!
Assembly Bar is very handy to know about. It's in Regent Place just off George St, which is a bit of a dead zone for cool bars (think posturing yobbos, Maccas and you've got the vibe). Assembly Bar on the other hand does a good line in cocktails and has a nice al fresco space if you want to be able to converse with your drinking buddies. We were just having a quick drink while we waited for our table at the restaurant but on another occasion I'd definitely sample something more exotic.
If this was just your average boutique bar the beautiful interior would be worth a visit itself. I am happy to recount that all my experiences here have been a measure above most in the vicinity. Nestled in a decidedly bright and crowded dining and shopping arcade, Assembly is a dark, rustic - chic bar that I've liked from my first visit and grown to love over a time line of repeat visits. The cocktail menu is detailed, varied and exquisitely put together. It even has a flavour map if you're having a hard time deciding which of the wide array of cocktails they serve, which is an impressive mix of originals and classics. The fairy floss martini thing whose name escapes me is amazing, and their simple, fresh apple juice and spiced rum "Kraken Apple" is crisp and perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy.
Service is friendly, and the barmen are mostly good although some I've had have been decidedly poor. That hiccup as well as the opressive loudness is all I can really think of as a negative.
Interesting location, great set up of seating & bar. Menu was limited to pizzas but they were very good, drinks were good- nothing over the top & quite refreshing especially 'Follow Me' cocktail. Definitely would return.
Have been there for drinks before, but never tried food until we went there for a quick dinner before concert. It's simple bar food, but really nice! We ordered some tacos, and they are spicy! I have tried many tacos before, most of them you have to add Chilli sauce to make it spicy. But tacos here have got enough heats! And I love that!

Really enjoyed the Assembly Bar, especially their cocktails!! They had an awesome list of cocktails and even a cocktail map to help you choose your cocktail! It had good food, an awesome vibe and was a great place to catch up with friends over a cocktail! Would definitely go back!

I've been here a few times in the past but I have never rated it, today I get that chance.
The first wonderful thing you notice about Assembly Bar is the atmosphere, it is beaming with positive energy. The low lights and music flow that Friday feeling into you.
The staff are helpful and cheerful, despite the bar being so busy. The bartender helped me bring my drinks up the stairs, which I thought was lovely ! Then he and another co-worker went out of their way to organise a table for myself and my friends. They even gave us free popcorn !
My friend and I went halves on a Dead Mans Punch 1, which was extremely fruity but at the end of your sip you got a nice hit of alcohol which was lovely, since I like my drinks strong.
The presentation was lovely, as you can see by the pics, it came in a giant skull, this served 6 drinks and costs $50. 3 drinks for $25 was pretty awesome ! Since it was only 2 of us sharing.
This bar is a lively hidden gem that makes your Friday evening so enjoyable that you never want to leave.
I will come back here, again and again.
This bar is um. AWESOME! Hidden away in a little block off Kent street in the CBD.
Headed there for some drinks and cocktails after dinner. The vibe is pretty awesome and laid back. Dimly lit and working a industrial feel it was the perfect place to grab a "Skull" and red wine and catch up with my company for a few hours.
I'll definitely be back!!!
O . M . G!!' The finalè cocktail is an award winning masterpiece and well worth every penny. I love the atmosphere here and I love how the menu indicates what cocktails are sweet, bigger, sour and strong. My kind of deciphering system. Love love love this place.
Nifty cocktails and free popcorn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, free popcorn! And its self serve which is even better!
Located at Regents place near Miss Chu's, its a random place for a bar but also a great spot because of the food outlets near it!
They have indoor and 'outdoor' seating. Bartenders are pretty helpful when you are stuck on which cocktail to choose and so forth.
Have only been here for drinks so can only comment on that.
Such a quirky underground bar. It's hard to find these in the city. Cocktails were well executed and creative. The marshmallow one particular (for the ladies!). New after work stashed bar, woop!
This bar has brought service back to Sydney. Instead of rudeness you receive staff you are passionate, friendly, funny and extremely knowledgable. From the food to the range of spirits and cocktails, this bar has never disappointed. A firm favourite. Don't miss out on this place.
BEST COCKTAIL BARS OUT THERE // I had the Linda Russian and Vogue cocktail. My favourite was the vogue. The balance between the sweet, sour and bitterness was incredible. I would drink a whole lot more if the price was a little cheaper.
I've never had any food at Assembly Bar but just the drinks and the atmosphere was enough to make me love the place. The service is good and the drinks are amazing! It is a great place to get some drinks after work or even just catch up with friends. Definitely one of my favourite bars so far.
Assembly Bar is one of my favourite bars to hang out at, with its eclectic, industrial chic decor, fantastic cocktails and convenient location at Regents Place (right next to Town Hall). But one thing I hadn’t realised about Assembly was that it has a great menu for food too, with a mix of bar snacks to share and more substantial fare like burgers.
$12 lunch specials. Went to assembly for lunch and had the $12 specials. The serving sizes were small but hit the mark with the taste. The music pumps along inside the atmosphere whilst a little heavy for lunch is good.
Assembly Bar has two sides - a dark and dingey bar on the inside and green, fake grass with plastic plant walls and doors as tables in a picnic style operation on the outside. It caters for a quiet chat outside in the fake picnic environment or a flirty date inside in trendy dark corners with couches.
I caught up with an old mentor of mine which always helps when you have good company. We drank glasses of Holy Trinity Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre which was very easy to drink over old stories and memories over the ten years that we've known each other.
