Today I was having date with my BF and we just headed to Chatswood for our lunch but when we passed by this small sort of cafe we just discussed that let’s try this one. And I couldn’t believe how much yummy food they served. We ordered salmon stack, Fish, bowl( sorry about I forgot the menu dishes full name) but you can tell the photos of food which were very fresh and texture. Both of us feel so hungry and we were very satisfied with this surprise lunch experience. I think I will go there again.
Fabulous Dinner!!We had been meaning to go here for awhile and finally made it. Service was fantastic. Food was excellent - from the appetizers to dessert. Seafood pasta is a must have and the entrees tested delicious... Felt like I was in Italy. Will definitely go back!
I went for dinner last Saturday for the first time.Seriously incredible food, great atmosphere & great location! Nothing better than enjoying a bowl of delicious Italian pasta with harbour bridge view! highly recommend & will definitely be back!
Authentic Italian dinner! My husband and I are visiting Sydney from Italy and found this jem in McMahons Point.
Great food, atmoshere and service. Harbour bridge view from the outdoor dining area is a plus.Highly recommended
Awesome authentic Italian dinner Thursday to Saturday. Takes me back to Sicily. Great location too.
Love sitting in the courtyard, it has an amazing view. We really enjoyed our corn fritter and French toast. Service was attentive and friendly.
Went there on Saturday morning
The cafe is beautiful and a nice place for brunch on weekends.
We ordered home-made Spanish baked beans and North Spoon breakfast. I forget to take pictures sad sad sad
The home-made baked beans cost $15 but it’s very small portion of food!! Just some beans on one slice of toast and two poached eggs. I think it’s overpriced. It tasted good though.
The North Spoon breakfast has black pudding in it which makes it special.
Great breakfast! (Veggie board) Coffee was great, food was better and service was on point!! Can't say a bad thing to say about this place. Will definately make this place one of my regulars :)
Friendly staff and generous portions. We sat in the courtyard with our dog 🐶 and ordered the baked eggs & the salmon stack. Soooooo delicious! Also the Campos coffee was on point 👌🏽
Great place! Very cozy and nice to meet up with friends and family for brunch. Good breakfast and lunch menu with tasty food and a nice cappuccino. Highly recommend!
Great food and reasonable atmosphere (breeze outside). The main downside of this place was that the food took a very long time to come. My one came after 40min and many others took ~1hr. Which is a shame, as overall it was quite good.
The North Spoon hosted my recent book launch and did a fantastic job. The function ran smoothly, the staff were highly attentive and the food and service spot on. The owners are keen to do the best job they can and it shows. The guests felt very spoilt and so did I!
Beautiful brunch with enticing glimpses of the harbour bridge in the background... funky breakfast plates done well... the beans were superb and enoki mushrooms full of flavour!!! Everything feels fresh and exciting!
Fabulous cafe in great location. The service and environment was excellent. Campos coffee is always a drawcard for me. I had the Corn Fritter which were very corny - well presented with salmon and halloumi. My hubby has the skillet breakfast which is a meat fear for breakfast and he particularly loved the black pudding. The menu is unique and there is something for everyone. I will be back to try the Brioche Benedict soon!

A casually parked retro bicycle with a basket full of fake blooms marks the entrance to this relative newcomer to McMahons Point. The North Spoon is already popular with locals, and it’s easy to see why. It’s an airy, light-filled space decked out with a repurposed timber counter and a corrugated iron feature wall. Leafy green plastic pants in hanging plant baskets and wicker rattan chairs add to the rustic farmhouse styling.Bi-fold windows let in plenty of fresh air and allow diners a front row seat to the pedestrian parade along Blues Point Road. The sky is an impossible shade of blue, and while their winter branches might be devoid of leaves, you can see the impending spring in the buds on the Liquidambar trees. We settle in with a Campos coffee that arrives...
Often passing the Habour Bridge from North Sydney to the CBD, we found that there is another area called "McMahon" with lots of cafes and restaurants with a character. The North Spoon has a spacious dining area and its interior design is pretty neat and warm with lots of wooden furniture. The place has a fairly standard menu with some breakfast and lunch items, and some healthy and naughty drinks like juice, smoothie, milkshakes, as well as some alcoholic options.
Great staff and service, easy parking, brunch was fab, varied menu, recommend a sunny day so you can make the most of the amazing view! The one and only gripe was we found it a little dark / cold!
The Veggie board - Eggplant, zucchini, olives, tomato, avo, haloumi , feta and poaches egg. Great little breakfast spot in north Sydney. Friendly staff and excellent food.

💙 Beautiful new cafe a short walking distance from North Sydney Station. I had the Spanish beans which were beautiful and hearty, then finished off with the Gypsy toast - quite a signature dish to the venue with its prosciutto wrapped banana. Campos coffees were great, and a sneak peak of the bridge through the Southern windows made my morning 💙
A short stroll from the beautiful Lavender Bay, we found ourselves in a sun-drenched cafe The North Spoon. It’s a fine location and, if you sit near the entrance, you can even glimpse the Harbour Bridge. Large windows on two sides open to the pavement and bring in air flow and natural light. It gets us right in the mood for lunch.
We had a terrible commute on saturday noon to get to north sydney. By the time we arrived at The North Spoon,we had been commuting for over 2 hrs and were absolutely exhausted. We were in a pretty bad mood, Sam was sick, we were 1.5hrs late and on the verge of cancelling our trip there altogether. ... but we were damn glad that we didnt!!
The north spoon is only minutes away from N. SYD station. A beautiful venue, great interior and a cute yellow bike with flowers in its basket to greet you at the front.
Sam had the barra burger with a side of mushrooms, it was a big juicy burger, a big piece of delicious barra!! This is a burger with a chilli kick. Finished off with a side of chips.
I had corn fritters with a side of rosti, the fritters came with all of my favorites, smoked salmon, aco, eggs, haloumi... this was a seriously delicious dish!! Probably one of the best and tastiest corn fitter dish i have had thus far. Id usually pass on corn fritters cos most places make it quite tasteless?
For drinks i has a big cup of cappuccino, it was much needed, im still a beginner when it comes to coffee so i cant really judge this. I also had a smoothie called energizer, its full of mixed berries, wasnt my favourite. .. i feel like i was drinking berries and yoghurt.
We shard the gypsy toast without the prosciutto... i think it wouldve been nicer with the prosciutto but we wanted to share the dish. It was still a yummy dish!
We were very happy with the service we received, even though we got invited to the north spoon, we have still experienced dodgy customer service to invited places, its not that common but it does happen.
We are rarely ever in north syd but if we are we will definitely come back!!!! The food was really yummy and we loved the venue!!! It lit up our moods. Giving it a 4.5 because we felt that there needs to be more sweet options other than fruit salad - this is my sweet tooth talking. The buddha bowl stop coming out after breakfast, maybe one more sweet/dessert dish that is available during lunch.
*we were kindly invited.

The newly opened "The North Spoon" instantly welcomes you with it's beautiful white and natural decor tones, it's windowed walls and friendly vibe. Located centrally in McMahons Point just opposite the Commodore Hotel, this great spot has a sneaky view to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The owner Varun told us that in the warmer months, they'd be opening nights - and with their outdoor seating area and licensed venue combination, we're sure this will be a winner for locals.
The North Spoon is a new cafe to the dining precinct in Milson’s Point. When you think of Milson’s Point, you associate it with a harbour bridge view. If you’re seated outdoors, this doesn’t disappoint. There is a turfed garden with picnic tables and a view of the bridge – an extremely pleasant place to enjoy your weekend brunch.
Newly opened and in a fabulous location at McMahons Point this cafe has a beautiful set up of indoor and outdoor dining.
Grab yourself a seat outside to get a view of the harbour bridge whilst you sip on your coffee (order a large and it will definitely keep you going for the day). The menu is simple yet has something for everyone. We went for the 2tortillas and the breakfast skillet. The breakfast skillet was filled with bacon, blood pudding, rosti, beans, sausage and poached eggs. The breakfast is all day but the lunch menu looks fabulous and something to come back for.
The indoor heating will keep you warm in winter so get to the north spoon to check out the newest cafe on the block.
What a great new addition to Blues Point Road, there’s a nice warm interior with a small courtyard garden with two tables for some al fresco action. They seem to have found their groove after opening just a month ago offering an ALL DAY BREAKFAST menu with 17 dishes to choose from. Modern Australian at its best reigns supreme for brunch and lunch with burgers, ribs, pastas, salads.
The BEEF CONNECTION burger with wagyu is a premium patty with nice chunks of beef through it, a pickled cucumber moustache hangs off the side balancing out the caramelized onion and lime/chive aioli with a melted cheese binding. Perfect portion size with interesting flavor combinations.
The WARM VEG SALAD with spinach, quinoa and roasted almonds is a nice winter warmer with grilled, baked, charred pumpkin, artichoke through it. It is a really fantastic salad which is easily underestimated in the selection of 4 salads.
The slow cooked 12 hour Lamb Shank with Mash was heaven. it’s meat glides beautifully off the bone like a Disney on Ice masterpiece.
The service is swift, friendly and surprisingly quick for a work lunch hour. Definitely worth a visit!
Great local cafe and restaurant in McMahon's Point. Very generous sitting area, with enough space between the tables yet retaining cozy atmosphere. Great interior and exterior design and attention to detail. The service is friendly and attentive, food was delivered to the table very fast and with a smile. Coffee roaster is Will&Co which is not my cup of coffee personally but I can see how other people like it. The food is home style and generous size portions - we had a breakfast board for two and it was enough food for two hungry people.
Friends in Costa Mesa CA USA had mentioned that North Spoon was a much loved location in Sydney’s north side so on my return home I decided to venture into the casual realm of the North Spoon on a rainy Monday. Images & the menu will tell you that the crew work hard with local growers & suppliers to provide the very freshest produce available & its obvious that their commitment to the establishment is well rewarded… even on a rainy day!
Their crab cakes are outstanding & the octopus salad was truly divine amongst a light myriad of tantalising breakfast, brunch & lunch options.
I rate the offerings 8 1/2 out of 10! Why not higher? Because I’m a pain in the arse!
Spoon is a lesson to all small light dining business operators that food & it’s quality is but part of the equation. Relying on ridiculously young staff as a cost save is false saving. Spoon has mature staff that are life skilled, engaging, well timed in their arrival & departure & is ever mindful of when you’re ready to order or move forward. This service is reminiscent of the many eateries I’ve visited in Italy & France. Attention to detail, engagement & developing a rapport with the customer.
The menu is incredibly well priced as is the wine. You don’t walk out thinking you been sitting on some restauranteur’s finger for the past hour but rather being appreciated for the visit.
All up, GO! excellent quality, service & value! I’m a fan!
Absolutely fantastic! It was so hard to find a cafe that takes bookings for larger groups, for brunch on the weekend. But Alessandro was diligent on following me up - and offering some really great-value set-menu group options.
The restaurant is roomy, not cramped at all - and very clean. The food is amazing (highly recommend the Beef Brisket Benedict) and the coffee is excellent.
Great attitude by all the staff. Our whole group loved their brunch and felt very relaxed in the cafe. Cannot recommend this place more highly (and I used to work as a Barista and in cafes for years - back in the day). Just wish we lived closer.
I recently had dinner at this wonderful cafe. Every month North Spoon hosts an Italian night which is booked out quickly. Why? The food is superb (I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinners at this cafe and have always loved every meal); the menu is innovative with fresh seasonal produce; the staff members are friendly and the ambience is fun and relaxed but professional.
Parking can sometimes be tricky, but luckily for me, I live close by.
A scrumptious breakfast we had at this comfortable and such cosy place ! The staff was great and hospitable as well !
The breakfast was delicious and was an unexpected treat. They staff friendly and efficient. View was spectacular
The margherita toastie and hot chocolate was delicious and did a great job to warm me up

Had a great breakfast at North Spoon last Saturday with 5 work colleagues. It is in a fantastic location, very central, and plenty of parking on the weekend. Really nice atmosphere, excellent service, great coffee and tasty food. What more could we ask for!
