Excellent Thai food. Love the flavours, unique decor and staff is super friendly. The only negative is that this place is cash only and they don’t accept card.

Lunch time in the CBD and felt like Thai. Great little place with good food and service. Everything was delicious and tasty. Great way to try authentic Street Thai food. Highly recommend if you’re looking for Thai street food in the heart of the CBD.

The food was great- particularly the beef noodles soup. The beef was slow cooked and very very tender and tasty. Also the soup was full of beef flavour it's very nice cooked broth cooked for long.
Pad Thai was fair but overall dining experience was good. Comfortable environment too.

A Thai place I haven't tried with hubby so this was our pick one weekday night. I had the beef Pad Thai which was bursting with flavor! Love it! Hubby's dish didn't turn out that great so I ended up swapping with him halfway. It was the noodles with cashews.

This restaurant is kind of narrow and crowded. It's at the back the regent place.

The decoration is simple and casual, like a small restaurant in Thailand. It seems that the shop has been open for years and everything looks old.

Their strength is that they can cook everything in a "Tom Yum Gong" taste. It's a very popular and signature taste in Thai cuisine. I tried their #Tom Yum Gong Soup# which does not look very nice at the first glance. However the taste is pretty ok, both sour and spicy.
#Fish cakes# is stange, I've never had such kind of fish cake before. It comes in a salad style, with four brown looking fish cakes.
The #Tom Yum Fried Rice# is again very special(but not tasty in my opinion) because it tastes like #Tom Yum Gong# . Sour rice with mint and other herbs, mmmmmmm.

So definitely would recommend for those who loves sour and spicy #Tom Yum Gong# .

Really cosy little gem in Regent Place, with such a rustic/homely feel.
🌸 I normally have the "tom yum Pad Thai" or the "Thai fried rice" with chicken. Both are cooked really well, packed with heaps of flavour.

🌸 the chicken is ripped in very big chunks/shreds - so the ratio of chicken to vegetables is large. I love my veggies in stir fry so idk how I feel, but I'm sure a lot of others enjoy this 😂

🌸 the portions come out looking really small, but it's quite feeling and dense, I always leave feeling really full !

A cute, narrow restaurant with wooden tables and benches, with framed souvenirs from the past which decorate the interior 👌🏼

• I had the Dry Duck Noodle which was a delicious flavour combination - savoury and sweet
• The duck was tender and juicy, but I thought that it was a bit overpriced ($17), and portion was smaller than I thought
• The rice dish in the photo is the chilli basil fried rice which was really good! It was quite spicy but there was a balance of tangy and sweetness
• My friends had Pad Thai, Green Curry and Tom Yum Fried Rice which was also pretty delicious ! I particularly liked the Tom Yum Rice
• I ate with a group of friends and it was so cosy that it resembled a family dinner or even a dinner at a friend's house ☺️

Delicious Thai:) crispy pork belly and the pork neck are my faves, and the fish cakes for starter are a must. Fresh ingredients and super tasty.
Staff are prompt and easy going and the setting and design are quirky, away from the rush of george st too.

We just happened to find this small and cute Thai restaurant around Regents Place and the dishes we had were a great surprise. The location and setting of this place is a bit uncomfortable as there is limited space to place big bags under the table or next to our seats.
The overall pricing of the menu is decent and it is worth to eat with a group of 3 or more people. We ordered bbq lamb, chilli basil fried rice and pad siew. The lamb was amazing and the chilli sauce spice level was actually tolerable and sweet. The drinks here are very nice as well, especially the Thai milk tea.
I highly recommend coming here for a good quick Thai meal if you're not picky on what to eat for lunch or dinner with friends ~ヾ(^∇^)

A restaurant with charm located at the downstairs of the lively Regent Place, one of my fave spots.

Had the spring rolls (taro) which were fantastic, great crispiness and umami flavour (and it was vegetarian)...though perhaps a little oily. For mains, we had the beef noodle soup and vegetable/tofu pad thai. Beef soup was very tasty and beef extremely tender - no complaints - pad thai was remarkably moist and had good balance of all the right flavours and textures... though it wasn't incredible.

We ordered the Papaya salad with soft shell crab ($16.8), Deep fried pork belly with rice and beef noodle soup. The wait was not long (about 10minutes) however service was not great, the waitress we had was not very attentive and we had to ask three times to get extra napkins. Despite this, the pork belly rice was really good and the sauce was amazing and brought the dish together. The papaya salad was far too spicy for us - we only took 3 bites but it took 5 minutes for the spiciness to be drowned out with water and rice. Having said this, ignoring the spice the flavours were amazing and we would consider getting again only without any chilli. Finally, the beef noodle soup was quite good but not anything amazing. Overall our dining experience here was decent and reasonably priced, however service could definitely be improved.

I am not sure why this place was relatively empty on a bustling Saturday night, most of the restaurants on the upper floor were rammed but this one only had a few people leaving the atmosphere a little empty....we actually wanted a quiet place so it fit the bill. Food on the whole was okay but nothing spectacular, the highlight for me was the coconut ice cream dessert. The service was a bit abrupt, given how empty the restaurant was it didn't help create any sort of experience....on the plus side everything was reasonably priced!

Tasty, authentic, convenient and generous servings. Good if you're after a super casual and quick meal. The venue is a bit loud in the evening from the bar next door, but this isn't a restaurant you would spend an extended period of time at anyway.

Located in the heart of Regents Place on the city is this wonderful little go getter. With a friendly staff on hand to assist in true Thai fashion.

The food is great, full of bold colors and mouth watering flavors. You won't leave disappointed

The Tom Yum noodle soup has all the tang and spice that distinguishes this traditional Thai soup. The Pad Thai had a good balance of sweetness, sourness and saltiness. Price was reasonable for the portion sizes. Loved the interior and had no problems with service. Overall loved it!

Thai is my favourite Asian food and when you are living in Sydney there are heaps of places to choose from. With amazing places like Chat Thai, Spice I Am and of course Newtown you can get great Thai dinner anywhere in the city and all food courts around Sydney have (at least) one Thai place for a quick, 10 dollar, meal.

Based in the traffic packed Regent Place in a narrow laneway, Senyai reminds me of Bangkok's lively backstreets. On the first glance itself, you are attracted to the vintage yet modern feel of this eatery. The redolence of the wooden teak walls, the vibrance and charm of the colourful plates, artifacts and memorabilia presents an amazing vibe the moment you walk in.

The thing I like about the menu at Senyai is that it doesn’t read like those yawn-inducing Oz-Thai menu’s we see far too much about this country.

Tasty Thai food venue hidden away off the main drag, a surprise to find it, and a surprise as to how nice the food is. Service was quick and friendly, a quirky tucked away eating area that is really close to the heart of town, and as I said before, nice tasty and well made food.

Pretty good pork noodle soup. Meat with soft bones, beansprouts and thinly sliced leafy vegetables served with glass vermicelli. The soup is sweet. Downside is cash only.
