We went to The Beresford Hotel for Melbourne Cup and what good value it was. Five glasses of Chandon or Furphy Beer plus finger food all for $85.00. Good crowd and fun vibes. #beresfordhotel
The beresford hotel is such a great place if you feel like an upbeat dinner! We went there on a Sunday night where the tunes were on point, cocktails were delicious and food was simply stunning. The wood fired pizza were a personal favourites. I highly recommend the place for the delicious food, drinks and atmosphere.

This place is an institution. A must place to visit to be seen or to see the famous. (During my visit here, I saw Alex Perry and Salim Mehajer!)
Pretty chilled out bar with plently of seating space. Good place for group outings. ✌@foodiesguidetosydney
Cosy atmosphere with fairy lights in beer garden. Subway tiles & great indoor lighting making it feel modern but classic. Easy food order at the bar with quick service. Food was very good. Melt in your mouth pulled pork burger. Bun was soft as clouds. Chips hot and crunchy - well done.
Grab a group of friends and head to the Beresford Hotel for a buzzing atmosphere and a great outdoor area. Even when this place is packed there are plenty of bars so you usually do not have to wait too long to be served. There are plenty of bar snack options - my pick is the sweet potato fries with aioli. Upstairs is a nightclub however I do not recommend this area - keep it casual, classy and fun downstairs. Conveniently located in Surry Hills it is a great spot for a pre dinner drink in walking distance to many great restaurants.
You can't go wrong with a good pub and good company. That's exactly what you go to Beresford for. It could be the rosè and tequila speaking, but I'll take their word for it.

I went here for the first time about a month ago. It had a great vibe, it was very busy but it didn't stop the staff from smiling and having great service. The cocktails we're delicious, and the pizza was amazing! I really enjoyed the food at the Beresford!
I would definitely recommend the Beresford. It was a great experience!
Beautiful setting, yes. Good-looking people, maybe. Nice food, definitely not! Ate here a few times, each time was worse than the previous. They also lost our booking when we took some family here. Moral of the story, have a few drinks in the nice jungle surroundings but won't eat there again.
The Beresford is a great hotel because it's easy to find a spot you'd like. The front of the hotel is very pub like in a modern way, and the back had the tables for eating.
There is an amazing beer garden where we usually sit. I have been for group catch ups and it's always great. You must visit.

One of the best pubs around town with a big beer garden!
Have been here on many occasions more for lunch so it hasn't been too packed. I guess that would change when the sun goes down.
Food is pretty good, although last time i went they seemed to be heavy handed on the salt!
Great atmosphere and a good selection of wines.
The Beresford is always a great place for a night out. Tasty and simple pizzas done well. The live bands on a Saturday nights are always fun.
A huge fan of this place. Awesome for some drinks to start off the the weekend. Food and drinks are get here but arrive early to avoid disappointment of long line or not being let in because they have reached capacity! Cool outside area if you'd rather hang outside and get some fresh air. Does get very busy though
The Beresford is an unassuming Surry Hills venue with daggy, drab yellow tiles out the front and usually homeless, junkie rif raf out the front (it is close to a half way home). But inside in an oasis and one pimping pub! The front bar is large and looks like your everyday pub, out the back is sleek, dark, open and home to the restaurant and one of the nicest beer gardens I been too, and there have been to a few. There is greenery and pot plants adorning every wall, plenty of seating options, fairy lights and a great atmosphere. The restaurant serves fancy pub food with an Italian twist – thin crust pizzas, Tuscan style cured meats, cheese plate or a Wagyu Flank steak with parsley-garlic gremolata and polenta chips.
These crunchy, perfectly seasoned sweet potato chips were to die for! Whether you wanted to dip the chips in the garlic aioli or not (which is delicious by the way), the chips were amazing on its own. It’s a win-win situation
The gnocci was soft and buttery and the tomato sauce was simple but sticking to the basic equation that always works of basil + tomato + mozzarella...
I thought The Beresford Hotel was a pretty slick hotel before Justin Hemmes bought the place for his Merivale empire but after only a month he's managed to transform the hotel into a much more homely and sophisticated place with the addition of hundreds o

Oh The Beresford. We are going to be such good friends. How I have fallen in love with your "Betty Burger" - a meat patty with on a HUGE bun, with rocket, beetroot, tomato, pancetta, provolone and lashings of olive tapenade. And your salt and pepper calam

Recognise this particular laneway anyone? I certainly spent many a party recovery sitting in it in my younger years - funnily enough it is opposite the site of the hospital I was born in, St Margaret’s. This is the newly redone and recently reopened Beres
The revamped Beresford Hotel certainly fits the bill: there's a lot to like about the huge variety of beers on tap, lounge-enticing seating and a very stylish restaurant tucked away in the back. Packed and absolutely buzzing on a mid-week night, the resta
Absolutely awesome. Great venue great service with an awesome feel.
Live music!. I went on a friday night and there were amazing bands! If you like to listen to good music and have a few drinks with your friends, definitely check out this surry hills spot
Best atmosphere for a Sunday sesh in Surry Hills and the design of the place is absolutely cool. However, the service is a bit slow.
What a find!. Dammit, there's so many good places I haven't found yet and this was 1 of them. Decent venue attracting a sophiiiiiiiiisticaaaated clientele, with a great vibe, satisfactory bang-for-buck pub grub (although rather more tomatoes than spanner crab in the spanner crab linguine) and drinks. Any place with Hennessy XO, Lagavulin and Ardbeg on the top shelf clearly knows its apples. Will be back!

Lunch with Sydney relos. The Bersford right behind Taylor Square in Bourke St. This pub was the hang for the gay crowd years ago spilling out onto the road. Renovated at great expense and design, it catches you eye as you enter the front bar which reveals a dinning area behind leading to a open courtyard. Very stunning. We ordered 3 Pizzas, Prosciutto, Pizza Diavola (spicy sausage), Pizza Salami, all excellent. Our octogenarian mums ordered the spelt salad with steamed prawns, tomato, zucchini and oregano. They both enjoyed the meal.
I did have a strange experience regarding my cup of flat white. It arrived only for me to discover it was leaking from a crack all the way down on the side of the cup. I drank some brew but one of my younger relative called over a waiter. He was apologetic, took the coffee, thanked us for bring it to his attention. He returned minutes later with a new cup and went. To my disbelief the cup was half full and slightly lukewarm; yes he had poured the remaining coffee from the cracked cup into the new one. Everyone wanted me to complain but I simply was too tired and would save it for this review.
Apart from that can recommend a visit. The place filled up after 1:30pm with what looked like the recovery crew after a night at the local clubs around Oxford St.
The food here rocks. You might not expect to have such consistently high-quality bistro food smack bang in the middle of such a noisy, trendy, swarming-with-people kinda place, but there you go. The bar and bistro staff are all extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Small menu but excellent fare -- a winner every time.
Pleasantly suprised. Really good. To be fair, we did go there for lunch on a Monday. So the quite, peaceful sun drenched garden out the back might have swayed my opinion somewhat. THe gnocci was divine and the witlof salad a great flavour contrast. The trout was not up to scratch though. Totally recommend the Beresford for a weekday lunch. Service good.
Loved it... It was like a massive live Grindr!!!
Enjoyed a few drinks with my girl friends last night. The place was really well lit which created a really nice atmosphere and the venue was buzzing with people. It was a little bit difficult to get a table but we eventually got one after 30 minutes or so. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff were wonderful! I would definitely come back here.
We sat outside and had the Thursday burger and beer $20 special. Ordering online was very efficient and the service was pleasant enough. The outside patio was packed with everyone enjoying the pleasant weather and drink. The chicken burger and Orchard Crush cider were delicious.
A classic modern Australian pub with an Italian trattoria. The place is vibing, with an outdoor beer garden which always seems packed. Grabbed a couple of scotch and coke and the staff were pleasant. Will definitely come back
Such a vibe. Can’t go wrong with an ole fashion Aussie club. It’s always a good time. Also the pizza and beer deal on Wednesday not to be missed
Very nice staff, good atmosphere and happy hour is from 6-8pm and not 4-6pm like most places. The Chef Special steak was amazing to share (maybe order some chips if you are too hungry). I think adding something like a Chimichurri sauce on the side would make it perfect!
Sunday’s in Sydney feel different at The Beresford. Love there outdoor area. Great decor and fairy lights in the evening. They also do great food and great list of cocktails. Sunday night is crazy busy upstairs so get in early for a great night.
A gem I did not expect in this location. The space inside looked several times bigger than you can imagine looking at it from the street. With halls made in different style and a large outdoor area you can find what suites to your current mood. And another surprise was a great owen pizza - we were on a way to Italian restaurant nearby but noticed a pizza owen on a way out, decided to give it a try and do not regret. Will definitely be back!
