Aesthetic food with a cosy atmosphere.
Big breakfast 7/10
- burnt toast
- lack of flavouring on eggs
King prawn croissant 8.5/10
Loved it! We got the Brooklyn beef bagel and salmon stack, both were amazing. The staff was nice and friendly. Food came out pretty quick even though it was during busy period. I’d definitely come back.
My go to everytime i'm in Chatswood :) I love how diverse their menu are, there's selection for literally everyone. Beside from all the og brekkie dish, there're also asian fusion dish that are much more filling, and tastier in my opinion. Absolutely love their omurice, i like how they use bolognese sauce instead of gravy sauce, the tangy of tomato combined well with the egg, it just make you want to it more and more. The coffee here is also a plus point, the soy mocha i ordered was amazing, not overly bitter with no sweet like most place i try.
Very welcoming staff. Cleaned the plate off for both pasta and croissant with prawn dishes and could have finished the buttermilk pancakes but we were so full. 😍 The colourful mocktails certainly compliments our dish as it is refreshing and light.
Thank you for an amazing experience and leaving our tummies happy 😁 insta @blonde_asian_eats
Came here after arrived in Sydney, looking around and found this place. Orderd king prawn in croissant, the taste is okayy and orderd latte with oat milk !!
This is the first time I have ventured into a place without checking its ratings on Zomato (how adventurous!).
The place is busy but not full, seeing it was Saturday 10am, I was pretty doubtful if it'll be good or not.
The service was prompt and our order was taken within 5 minutes.
Food came reasonably quick. The king prawn and egg croissant is a very interesting combination, I really like the fluffy scramble eggs with the furikake (japanese rice seasoning), it's savoury and buttery. The king prawns were fleshy and fresh.
The boy got an egg benny, and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection.
We were satisfied with the experience and happy that others feel the same (judging by the ratings :)
lovely place! Enjoy my afternoon coffee. Friendly staff; Barista is professional. Amazing coffee and environment! Besides, I like the vintage design of the store! I will give 10 out of 10.
I really enjoy Salt & Light, it has a lovely atmosphere and Gloria who was looking after me was so sweet.
The food was vibrant and lots of variety... most importantly, it tasted great! I look forward to coming back again. 👍🏽
This is a lovely cafe for food and coffee near the station. I had the smoked salmon stack with potato hash and haloumi. It is a relatively simple dish but it was very nice and the eggs was perfectly poached. The coffee was also really good.
Really cute cafe! Service was a tad slow but the food was pretty good. The big breakfast is definitely worth the price, it comes loaded and everything was cooked really nicely. The omurice was also very good and huge. Definitely will be back again for more food!
Coffee was good, I ordered “Eggs your way” with a side of smoked salmon, everything was nice, just the chef burned the butter and my scrambled eggs tasted a bit funny and looked brownish. The customer service is great.
So so friendly, always brightens my morning with a great welcome. Always come here for breakfast when in Sydney for work. Consistent quality of food and great coffee!!
The staff are absolutely fabulous! They really make the whole experience so much better. They're warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive without being over bearing.
The cafe space itself is very endearing. It's as spacious as it can be in the smallish space they have, beautifully decorated, and cosy.
The food is delicious and fresh. We had the oatmeal and the Mexican brekky wrap. Both were without fault, and we'll definitely be returning!
Lovely little local cafe with great coffee! Very friendly staffs and I ordered a Shakshuka beef & pork as lunch, it was well made and presented. Would love to go back to try their other dishes as there are quite a lot of choices!

We decided to do a spot of shopping at Chatswood and thought that a good hearty breakfast was required to enable us to do this. We needed energy to fuel our retail therapy. Looking for a place to put us in good stead for our shopping we ended up at Salt and Light. Salt and Light is a casual and comfy venue and we were lucky to secure a table for two as it was a Saturday morning there were a lot of people out and about, no doubt doing what we were intending to do - shop.
Absolutely loved the coconut iced coffee and acai bowl. All reasonably priced and the cafe is decorated really cute. Another plus is how close it is to the station
Me and my boyfriend had late lunch at this brunch cafe located in chatswood, omurice and bruschetta. These were their brand new dishes! Both greaaaaat!! we loved especially the homemade bolognese sauce! Super friendly and lovely atmosphere and the staffs were so kind as well!! best choice I have ever made ;)
Just totally loved this cafe💕💜 so cozy, bright atmosphere and first of all, the food and coffee is lit! Just one min away from chatswood station!! So perfect
Lovely cafe... Good location, just near the station. Food is also great here! I like the Adam and eve most. Taste great. And cakes here are delicious. I have watermelon breeze for drink and my friend have berry one. So fresh. Highly recommend..
a wonderful cafe! ☕️☕️great food🥗🥗, nice staff👧🏻👧🏻, amazing experience!❤️💛💚💙💜 I like “Adam and Eve” “Very Bery Hawaiian””Wagyu Sandwich” m. Very good experience. Highly recommendation❤️❤️❤️
Since it was my first time I chose the menu from Chefs Recommendation: Adam & Eve.
It was lovely ! The taste, texture and the portion was GREAT!! Interesting how they combine all the things and the taste was wonderful!!
Good job!
Highly recommended!!
I've always passed by this cafe but had never actually had their meals. I was quite surprised with the quality and presentation of the food. Everything was really good and well made. The coffee was good as well. I would definitely go back. Be aware they are not big, so during peak times you might have problems fitting larger groups in there.
One of my most favourite cafe in chatswood.
Things I like:
1.)(I) Big brekkie (ard 20 AUS) is really big !! U can serve it as your brunch and make your day !
2.)(II) another breakfast I have tried is the toast set. I appreciate the way they deliver( red pink sauce which is dragon fruit) that shows their creativity. The toast is just right to point with the avocado sauce.
2.) I have tried iced latte, hot cappuccino and hot green tea in different times. The coffee quality is satisfying. The way they deliver the tea is special, you will be given a nice teapot and they serve T2 tea choices.
3.) the scramble egg is amazing.
4.) wifi provided !
Things to improve:
1.) the environment is a bit noisy that I can’t fully enjoy the vibes there.
2.) big brekkie include some blue cheese which some customers may not like it
3.) the big brekkie meal is a bit salty.
I am the regular customer in Salt & Light and love it so much. The hot chocolate is the best I had. The owner is kind and very patiently, he was introduced the food to me in detail. I ordered a Ricotta Buttermilk Hotcake in store and an Açaí bowl for taking away. Both of them are so nice, prepare to have it again.
A delightful place to get coffee and a bite to eat. Our orders came out fast and were both very tasty and filling. We appreciated the friendly service as well.
Had a nice little brunch, staff were super friendly and helped us set up our tables outside when we insisted on sitting out in the rain 😅. Great presentation and flavour with food and in a good spot.
We met some friends here for breakfast yesterday. The pulled pork Benedict was fantastic and full of flavour. Special mentions to the bacon and egg burger and Omurice too. Great, warm service too. Highly recommended!
