Walking past I had to stop and do a double take. The display cases were full of goodies and I ended up taking a box of croissant away for breakfast. $4.30 a piece but well worth it!
Excellent croissant and cakes. It looks like there have been ownership changes and I don't know if it's as legendary for cakes as it was in decades past, but I found a piece of very rich and creamy chocolate cake. The croissants are some of the best in town - very buttery - but they charge a lot for them.
It smells so beautiful outside while walking, you can’t help but buy a croissant! Unfortunately taste is not par to that smell! My friend had a pie and he wasn’t happy either! Though their cake was so nice! Not too sweet, very light and spongy! I guess their sweet game stronger than their savoury.
One of the best French patisseries I've even been to. Their ham and cheese croissants are to die for. The tarts have perfect pasty and delish filling. Surprised there is not a line for this place (beats bourke st bakery for the traditional French baking).
A stones throw from where i was staying on my Sydney trip, and boy what a place.
I had a croissant and a chocolate croissant. Perfect is the word to describe it. What a tasty way to start the day. Unfortunately, never got to try all their other stuff, since they close early. Until next time...

There's a bit of Parisian charm here being brought into the heart of Potts Point. The name itself, Croissant d'Or - meaning Golden Croissant - tells you clearly that this is French, or at least French influenced. There's some good food here that you can't see from the street so venture in for a look. We were brunching, again, and there were plenty of options to choose from. Coffee, however, was first up - along with some water!

The secret to this outstanding piece of flaky, buttery pastry, is simple. If you can’t fly to Paris, Paris flies to you: The owner uses butter and flour from France, and this is the reason why the croissants taste exactly the way they should…
Delightful!. As a French I believe this is the bakery that get most close to a French boulangerie.
Pastries are amazing and really buttery like they should be.
Cakes and fine patisserie are sublime. You can tell the freshness of the ingredients and the top quality.
If you have a birthday or an important celebration they have plenty choices for you.
For pies lovers they make they own and believe none has equal in Sydney.
Try it to believe me!
Cherry Danish = amazing!!!!! Can't stay away!!
Very authentic French pâtisserie. I just feel like home everytime I walk into this place. My favourite is the lemon tart!
The eclair was rich and I loved it.
The pistachio slice is good, but a little bit too sweet for me.
The chocolate slice cake is delectable and flavourful 😋
Honestly one of the best local secrets in Potts Point. The quality of the food is great. Incredible quiches, and they actually know how to make a croissant properly (rare for Sydney)!! Forget Bourke St Bakery and the overpriced French cafe down the road.. Local Popo’s this is definitely the place to go! It’s on par with Flour & Stone. I also love that it hasn’t been struck by over-gentrification
It's a very tiny shop you might not easily notice it but they have a big sign handing outside. Let me just say their small prices of chocolate one of the tastiest chocolate I had, I could taste pure cacao in it.
And their pastry is must have , I recommend to try the rasion snail with walnut and custard . It's fabulous with coffee in the morning. They offer heaps of other options, it's one of these places where you can't just wake out with one pastry coz honestly it's so good and yummy that one peace is not enough (at least for me 😅)
Didn't know about this shop and had no expectation before trying. Nicely surprised by the tasty raspberries almond tart and passionfruit tart. Will go back for more.
Another great bakery in the hood. Friendly service.
A lovely patisserie, with an excellent selection of cakes and tarts. We got a box of tarts for an afternoon tea. Everyone thought they were delicious!
