This is the genuine Thai food I remember and love from countless trips to Koh Samui in the 1990's. I had the Thom Kha Gai a beautiful red curry chicken soup with coconut and spiced moderately hot to suit Western palate. I had a simple bit delicious Khao Pad Moo (Fried rice and pork) as the accompaniment. I forgot to order 'song kai' two fried eggs on top that just sets it off for me. Sanuk sanuk ... have good manners and have a big smile for your hosts.
Pretty basic eatery.Thai food was fresh and with lots of spices.
Deepfried fish was deiclious and also was its pepper oyster sauce.Quality is food with generous portions
This place was easy to find, easy on the wallet and the quality of the food was fantastic. We ordered the pad Thai, papaya salad and this skewer appetiser it was roughly around $27 and it was extremely filling.
Cheap and delicious. Got the pad thai and crispy pork, only cost $9. Definitely will order again. Typical small shop in the cbd, with only 6-7 tables.
Excellent thai food around city. The fried noodle so yummy,i really love it. Price inexpensive, place very cosy even that like small shop. Good food and worth it to come back.;)
Cheapy ninja!!!
Not a bad place to get a quick snack or lunch for their price! Special menu for $5 an item is pretty good!!
About 20 seats with traditional food serves up tasty dishes and spicy fun!
Alot of other dishes available so make sure you choose wisely!
Until next time ... Keep eating!!
It's located infront of Sanctually Hotel, near 3 monkeys!!
Good location, good price and delicious.
I had porkbelly $12 and noodle $6. These were delicious and the potion was large enough.
Prik Thai is street food style, I like the ambience.
Just passing by and looking for thai food and found this restaurant. I ordered tom yum. Tom yum was good, the problem only with the rice. The rice look like not cook well.
Many visitors went pass this small Thai joint with prejudice. The locals who know this place well ordered their take away like there is no tomorrow.
Ordered their Yen Ta Fo which is fish ball deep fried tofu, pig blood jelly cube and calamari. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing it looks and tastes. I wouldn't mind ordering the same dish again next time. When I do it will definitely be Large. BtW the food came out in no time.
The Longan Juice Tea is as expected. Although i find it a little bit too sweet.
Bottomline: Great food. Good service. Great value.
The food was really good. Authentic thai food like the ones you can find in Thailand especially the fish dish. However, the staff could have been friendlier.
It's really comforting when you walk into a Thai restaurant knowing the owners are actually Thai. The food was authentic and delicious, service is very friendly and our meals were served promptly.
Good dinner with good price. I went there with my boyfriend because we were so hungry but we didnt want to walk to Thai town for Thai food so I told him about this restaurant that I passed by a few day ago. They are small restaurant that has a big favour of food.
Excellent quality authentic Thai food. Small street side place. But the quality is excellent. It’s fast and good value. We didn’t get the fish special which I regret as it looks superb and is good value. But I would definitely go back
Had the chicken pad see ew, crispy pork with chinese broccoli and pla todt kra tiem (spicy fish). Pad see ew is always very nice here, the crispy pork with broccoli was nice also, however I personally prefer it when the pork isn’t deep fried for too long (still very nice though especially for those who like it that texture). The deep fried fish had great flavour also. Overall, all dishes were very tasty and had a great balance of flavour. Food was very affordable, service was also friendly and food came out relatively fast.

Fast service, good food and a seat in a busy street — what more could you ask for? The Red Curry was a little spicy (as expected!) and went well with rice.
I ate Thai so many times in other places, and yet the chef managed to give Prik a distinctive touch, one that is dam good and tasty. Vegetables are cut in big pieces but the result is great. The only drawback of the place is that it is cramped and the air has a strong food scent. Yet I have no hesitation to recommend the place for a quick bite.
Delicious!! It has Som Dtum Thai, papaya salad, which I have looked for many Thai restaurants but most of them dont have. Definitely recommend this place. The fried whole fish is amazing too. Along with Pad Thai is an enough portion for me, not too big and meet my expectation!!
One of our favourite Thai street restaurants. It is always a safe choice every time when me and my boyfriend could not decide where to go to have a meal. This deep fried barramundi is highly recommended.
Authentic Thai delight that will transport you to the Streets of Bangkok. Cosy place and their special noodle menu gives you value for your money if you are after a quick bite. What a pleasant and surprise - must return to explore their other offerings
