Many years ago, when this patiserie started working, we locals from Mortdale and the surrounding areas, finally thought that we would have a nice and very good place to enjoy all kinds of cakes and sweets. As the years went by and their business grew, the service got worse and worse. Uncomfortable and unprofessional staff, unrealistic times to pick up or deliver orders and most importantly, the quality of the cake becomes terrible.
I was a big fan of this store, but not anymore. Unplesant surprise happened to me today as well. I went there to order a birthday cake, but the girl, who knows where she came from, explained to me in her unrecognizable and very bad English that the office is closed on Sundays and cannot accept my order.
Bad for the business and bad for the greedy owners. I do not recommend this store to anyone anymore.

I am a regular client at New York patisserie , I love to sit and relax and enjoy my hot choc most of the time .. most of the staff are very friendly but the only negative issue is that the bathroom has been removed .. it is a family friendly place with kids and I feel that toilets are necessary in this business.. management need to reconsider in that issue .. thank you

Disappointed , we had three coffee n a pastry, the long black taste like Sydney water with just a drop of coffee.It is very weak n diluted. Service is good. This place is a bit pricey for there pastries.

No where near the quality or selection given it's a Sunday.
Very grumpy staff today as well.
Tiramisu was basically just cream and a chocolate sprinkle on top. Nothing was fresh.

I was looking for a cake shop with great reviews and found this place online.
Ordered the cake for my son’s second month birthday.. honestly this is one of the best cake in Sydney. The amount of satisfaction was great to be honest and the caramel naked cake made our day joyful 😀

We picked up 3 cupcakes to take away for Mothers Day. We were pleasantly surprised the cup cakes were moist and full of flavour.<br/>Will definitely come back again. Will need to try the coffee next time.

Beware the coffee is terrible here... the desserts are nice. I kept making the same mistakes in ordering coffee at this place lol so I know now the cakes are the only decent thing there.

New York Patisserie is an amazing place to purchase delicious and elegant cakes for special occasions or just to simply have a bite of something sweet. Our personal favourites are the Strawberry Tart and Apple Pie, but having said this you cannot go wrong with anything on New York Patisserie's menu!

A hidden gem in Penshurst, those daring to venture south are in for a treat. Friend claimed the cakes were good. I put her to the test, and my testing concluded that the cakes were good. The cafe is really open space, staff are cheerful and the cakes are so diverse to choose from, it was a lot of ticks from me. <br/><br/>Ordered the red velvet, lemon meringue and NY baked cheesecake. All 3 cakes were stellar and no complaints could be said. Definitely one to recommend this cafe. Just make sure you drive if you don't live in the south!

Very good cakes and reasonably priced too. Large variety of tasty cakes on offer. A few old favourites and a few contemporary cakes which are pretty to look at. Mini cakes are good if you want to get a selection of cakes. Closes at 6pm on weekdays, annoying to get to after work.
