I couldn't think of a better place to end my Saturday afternoon than with bubbles watching the ships go by. The fish and chips weren't bad either, and your ice cream sandwiches ππ» Tops!! π

Hello Sailor. As most know the famous Boxing Day Sydney to Hobart starts here. Having driven past the club along New Beach Road as a short cut to Double Bsy over the last 25 years during visit to Sydney we suddenly pulled into a parking spot and went in. This was around 2:30pm, signed in as visitors. Well after all these years we finally visited the club. Some old sailors on a table outside dressed in their colours were enjoying what looked like post sailing drinks. It was a beatiful Sydney day and we sat and took in the vista of the yachts and Rushcutters Bay. The kitchen is open all day so we shared a Thai salad with optional chicken satays. Really enjoyed the calmness, food and drinks. It was time out from the Sydney madness you get wrapped in. The menu items looked inviting and I may pop in for breakfast during my occasional morning walks.
Good for the view!. The Rushcutters Yacht Club (Cruising Yacht Club of Australia) is a respectable trek from Kings Cross. It is set against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbor overlooking luxurious yachts and offers you a good lunch spot on a beautiful hot day in Sydney. Well firstly make sure that you do not live 5km of the club or you will not be allowed in, and also donβt forget your ID! I had a spot of lunch today at CYCA and to be honest I was disappointed, was expecting better. I had the beef burger but when the burger arrived it was half the size of the bun! I mean come on! The menu is not anything exciting but a bistro/bar menu and whether itβs always good value for money though, is questionable. Good place to come for a drink with a view!
Aaaaaahhhhh...... Good food - does what it says on the tin but the easy-on-the-pocket drinks on the deck are what make the Cruising Club the brilliant CBD fringe nautical spot that it is.
Family friendly and a great place to soak up the afternoon sun and chill in the marina amongst the Rushcutters Bay boats.
I feel a little shy as a non local praising this fine institution that nurtures and expands the yachting fraternity. Of course the location, view and facilities are superb but also the service we received was classy. Now I see some complaints against the food which surprises me because we were more than pleased with our meze platter (see the photo) and perfectly cooked wedges. Top beers too why are the tables so high? Oh, I know, to elevate your position to enhance the view.
Lovely spot to stop for a cheeky beverage and a quick bite after a walk around the bay.
Favourite place for afternoon drinks & food! Such a nice space right on the water, great food & friendly staff!! Highly recommend ππ»
Enjoyed my visit here just before the Sydney to Hobart race. Great buzz looked at the boats preparing for the race. Had a enjoyable relaxing lunch here as well, nice to visit.
Private members yacht club and home of the Sydney Hobart race each year. Good dining room and casual bars. Hard to park so consider public transport train/bus. Very busy at event times.
From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, this place had excellent service, delicious, very well priced food and a beautiful view. Would highly recommend if you need a place to sit and have lunch!
