Friendly service and great coffee! Perfect place to nurse a hangover on a Saturday morning. The bruschetta was freshly prepared with tasty ingredients but there was way too much red onion - I spent a lot of time picking it out of the dish. Apart from that, a lovely breakfast experience

I can’t remember what was the name i tried exactly, but those i had all.
As i remembered, there was really kind to tourists like us. And the foods all were good and I believe they are till now.
It was really amazing experience in Redfern to me. Totally missed all in there.

Great local cafe, beautiful coffee and must try daily specials! Delicious risottos and soups, really hot and creamy! Perfect for winter.
Staff are very friendly too! covid safe! (barista wears facemask a bonus!)

Totally "urban" style place, aseptic and bare but paintings make the difference, making the place a bit more colorful and transmitting a nice atmosphere. They have some tables outside, not many tables inside though. Nice menu with all day breakkie. Prices very good! Nice staff and food tasting excellent. Don't go to the bathroom, it was quite messy. Overall I had a good food experience. Definitely I recommend it!

Walked around regent and redfern and saw this place, made a mental note to consider for breakfast.

Went there between 830 and 9am and ordered the burger combo (which came with french fries and a drink, which i promptly turned into a coke) as well as a bacon and egg roll

For the price, in the area, it wasnt so bad.the place had a good vibe to it.staff was friendly and apologetic about how long it took to churn out the burger (my coke had warmed up before i got to my burger) but overall it was a positive experience

Great food & coffee and nice owner😉

Fast service and decent prices, not much else to report so it's just a reasonable mid-level cafe. Coffee was weak yet a bit grainy. Open on Sundays, which seems uncommon in Redfern.

My husband and I went to Urban Piccolo Redfern for breakfast. The food was good(nothing spectacular though) despite urban piccolo cafes popping up everywhere these days. My husband ordered the cap w/ one sugar and the french toast. The coffee went down well but the french toast was not too impressive. I ordered the big breakfast and a iced coffee. I liked majority of the things that came on the plate(hash brown, toast, bacon, mushrooms) however the scrambled eggs were a bit of a miss. I did struggle to get through the dish but lucky the hubby helped me. The iced coffee was a bit bland and was basically milk with ice-cubes in there. The cafe itself was very modern, not in the best side of Redfern but not horrible. The cafe was very modern though. Probs wasn't good enough for us to return again BUT staff were friendly, serving sizes were good and was very modern so never say never!

Good place to eat brunch or lunch. There’s limited seating, which makes the to go option appealing. Their breakfast burger looked good and the chicken salad was very tasty and different from most (I like how they mixed sweet and savoury).

Great neighborhood cafe! Love the coffee, Acai bowls and great service!
Since Lucas and the team took over in January, 2018 — the quality continues to improve and the menu has changed for the better!

It was a first cafe we went to when we spent our honeymoon on Sydney. The place is lovely, breakfast that we had was soo delicious with great coffee. At least for me, as I like it very creamy, milky and soft; my wife enjoyed it a lot, though she slightly complained that it lost her coffee was too weak and it lost its strength over milkiness. Worth recommending,l!

There’s this stretch of Regent Street in Redfern that suddenly has a few cool bars and restaurants and shops and though it’s a slightly ugly street, with traffic too fast, the neighbourhood is managing to impose a sense of cool nonetheless. My coffee, at Urban Piccolo, was just fine: very milky and creamy but without losing the strong coffee flavour, just how I like it.

I have lived in Redfern for four years and this is my first breakfast here. Absolutely delicious food, well presented and great coffee.

Definitely coming back

A small cafe in Redfern just a short stroll from the station. I had the poached eggs on toast with mushrooms while my friend had the mushrooms on toast with feta and prosciutto. Both were served on thick slices of delicious Infinity sourdough, which was worth committing carb-icide for! My poached eggs were slightly overcooked with a faint taste of vinegar. But overall, a solid option for a basic breakfast/brunch in the area. Props to the barista for a lovely, creamy skim cap. In warmer weather, I'd opt to sit outside as smells from the open kitchen will linger on you if sitting indoors (open stove is probably more accurate given the confined space).

This cafe is awesome run by a sweet Korean couple. They are always so friendly, it's a nice thing to experience in the morning.

It's a small cafe with cute decor and outside seating.

I've had breakfast here a few times and it's all pretty delicious. They have a variety of healthy dishes as well the some naughty ones such as the French toast.

Best breakfast value in the neighbourhood. Variety of thoughtfully prepared dishes. Fresh ingredients. Good portions. Very prompt, attentive service (shockingly never crowded). Small but open, light-filled cafe. On a relatively busy street and not much of a view, but can't fault them for that.

Have eaten at Urban Piccolo many times and never left disappointed. It's a friendly, family-run business that I always feel good about supporting.

Try the scrambled eggs with avo and feta on sourdough or scrambled eggs with pesto. With a fresh juice! The coffee is quite good too.

Discovered this little place after taking a different route to Redfern Station from our apartment in Waterloo. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was pretty good too. The presentation was sublime and it tasted pretty much the same. Roughly about $16 for a breakfast which is slightly more gourmet than your normal cafe and about $3/4 for a coffee, although they do have deals which include breakfast and a coffee for about $10/11. If you're in the area, go check it out! The staff are quite friendly too.

I love this cafe, Its the best local in the area - fresh, clean, good portions and amazing presentation of food. Service is friendly and attentive. Its a nice open cafe opposite BP with street parking available. If you are in this area, definitely go check it out! Eat the french toast!!
