第二次来了,菜品色香味俱全,值得多刷的餐厅!钢琴曲背景音乐很舒服
Love the vibe and food here! So yummy! Had great time with my friend!
Very juicy and delicious kangaroo skewers.
Wonderful environment. Delicious food. Nice waitress. Really good!
How cute is this restaurant. I came here as I’ve seen lots of aesthetic photos all over social media. The food here is not only delicious, but the presentation is unique and stunning. Very creative dishes and perfect for photos.
Good vibes and great services
Taste very good. The dish is very spice and real Sichuan taste.
Very original dishes and spicy. Me and my Friends would visit every week. Recently renovated restaurant so more spacious and cleaner. Warm staff services
Great service. Nice environment. Coconut building looks cute. Location easy to find, near world square. Good place for casual dining with friends.
The environment is awesome, the service is perfect, the food is tasty, what do you want more

My favourite Sichuan cuisine. Very authentic food, friendly service. The dining environment is cozy after refurbishment. The menu added in full range of food choice. Highly recommend.
Tried out the fairly new kid on the block @landining
A great place for dinner anytime of the week with friends or family. Service is great as well as the food and presentation. Wednesday nights is entertainment night with a glass of free wine and dessert.

First time came here was extremely surprised by how good of an experience this is ! Great service, great food and great atmosphere!! Highly recommend!
Good environment good taste. Fresh food. Fish is good. Many new dishes added into the menu. Dessert is also attractive. Thumb up. High recommation.
Lan Dining is totally different after renovation. Highly recommended. The service is perfect and the taste is good as well. Love the dishes!
Great dish great service, comfort atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable price. Overall it’s a good choice for family dining with baby and kids.
Fantastic Szechuan restaurant hidden in the side streets near World Square. Each dish is presented beautifully, make sure you order the kangaroo skewers which arrive in a boat complete with dry ice for a spectacular entrance. The meat is incredibly tender and definitely worth the trip here to try. Other dishes are also impressive like the mushroom soup (served in a teapot), crispy eggplant and peach gum dessert.
Never knew there’s such a great Sichuan restaurant in the quiet corner of Cunningham Street and I already want to go back after my first visit.
Steamed chicken in chilli oil was an appetising and crowd pleasing starter with chiili oil contained in a thin sugar case where you can crash like creme brûlée. The sugar layer balanced out the strong flavours of the chilli oil and it was really moreish.
Grilled kangaroo kebab made us go wow when it was served. The boat-shaped plate and the whole idea is from a famous scene in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The kangaroo meat was probably the most tender I have ever tasted as it is always difficult to make it right. With the perfect amount of spice, I downed the whole thing in less than a minute.
Kung pao prawns, an entry level spicy staple, was made extraordinary thanks to the aesthetic sugar dome. The bouncy prawns coated in slightly sweet and spicy sauce easily made another likeable dish.
I thought live parrot fish would have been something like steamed fish or stir fried sliced fish with veggies but I was wrong. The waiter poured the live parrot fish slices and soup into the pot with hot stones, then covered the lid to let it cook for 5-10 minutes. The soup was incredibly heartwarming and full of fish flavour (in a good way). The fish slices were tender and complemented the fish soup very well. So good that I had 3 bowls of soup and still wanted more.
Peach gum with papaya was a dessert that’s nutritious and nourishing for females (google the ingredients and you will know :p). Steamed to warm and soft, the papaya and peach gum with syrup was a fulfilling dessert that’s not too heavy.
Still can’t get over how cute Mr. bunny was! It was a smooth coconut pudding in bunny shape and a pleasant ending to the meal.
With their very awesome flavours, presentation and service, Lan Dining is a new comer that’s hard to beat. Highly recommended if you are a Chinese/spicy food lover.
⭐️LAN DINING - HAYMARKET⭐️
This Sichuan high end dining restaurant located at the heart of the CBD has unique dishes including Grilled Kangaroo kebab on a wooden boat to a cute coconut rabbit pannacotta. It’s not your average Chinese restaurant! With each dish, the presentation is impeccable with homage to the Chinese culture.
My fave dishes would have to be the Tea Smoked Duck, Duck fried rice, Fish soup & the Peach Gum with Papaya p.p.!
Thanks FCBA for the invite!
Lan Dining is a Chinese restaurant specialising in Sichuan Cuisine, so expect tons of numbing flavours. Presentation is high on the list here, with this being some of the most visually appealing food around.
Everything’s been well thought out and flavours are absolutely spot on. I’d highly recommend the Tea Smoked Duck and the Kung Bao Prawns.
Good atmosphere and good service. The food was great and tasted delicious. There was a wide range of food selection. There was also live seafood available.
Super good food and service! The new decor is very clean and chic! Recommend the spicy chicken and those iconic dishes. Love it! Will definitely come back
Does My Bomb Look Big In This

Lan Dining is the latest venue by the China Chilli Holding Group, who might already be familiar with if you like to eat spicy food. They have eleven Australian restaurants, seven of which are in Sydney, most flying under the Spicy Sichuan banner. You will find Lan Dining in a quietish part of Haymarket, sitting above China Chilli (one of their more traditional hot pot restaurants). It is the group's first incursion into Chinese fine dining, though there is an even fancier restaurant in the pipeline, at the base of the five-star Westin Hotel in Brisbane. Now this...
Want to spice up your life? Sichuan food is known for it's punchy and fiery flavours that will leave you wanting more (or grabbing that glass of water!). Lan Dining is located conveniently in the heart of Haymarket, directly opposite World Square in a small laneway. Up on level 1, step inside this modern Chinese restaurant which features an extensive menu of classic Chinese flavours with a slight modern twist. Each dish is served thoughtfully, some dishes providing a theatrical element where the camera will eat first.
We dined on a Wednesday evening where they feature a mid-week special - receive a free glass of house wine, live music plus complimentary dessert.
We tried the following dishes:
Appetisers:
Steamed chicken in chilli oil - served inside an elaborately framed platter, on top of the dish lies a clear sugar sphere which contains the chilli oil. Crack open the sphere to reveal the fragrant chilli oil.
Zucchini shreds salad - This is essentially zucchini noodles (or zoodles) with a chilli sauce. I
Main courses:
Tea smoked duck - who doesn't love duck pancakes? The duck was fragrantly smoked.
Grilled Kangaroo kebab - One of Lan Dining's signature dishes, and one of the most theatrical ones here. Served inside a wooden boat, with a porcelain figurine man at the head of the boat followed by the kangaroo kebabs. It is served at the table over dry ice for full dramatic effect. The kebabs itself were tender and juicy, a fiery, peppery spicy flavour that was quite addictive.
Live parrot fish - a healthy and warming fish soup.
Spicy lamb ribs - the lamb ribs were succulent with just the right amount of spice.
Kung bao prawns - crispy prawns with a slightly sweet spicy sauce, I loved the cashew nuts in this dish which added some additional crunch and texture.
Boiled asparagus - vegetables served broth.
Smoked duck fried rice - standard fried rice dish, I didn't taste much of the smoked duck flavour thought.
Crispy eggplant - I absolutely love eggplant and this dish had a lovely hidden surprise with minced (pork?) meat stuffed inside. The outside was a slightly sticky, sweet and lightly spiced sauce.
Soup:
Matsutake mushroom and chicken soup - this was one of my fave dishes, it was an extremely comforting dish and reminded me of the Chinese herbal soups that my dad makes. The broth was packed with flavour, I only wished that they served a larger pot!
Dessert:
Peach guy with papaya - Papaya is known amongst Chinese culture to have health benefits particularly for women's health. The papaya is served warm, with 'peach gum' inside and an optional drizzle of sugar syrup. A healthy dessert, although some may be craving something a tad bit 'naughtier'.
Mr bunny - a cute mini sized coconut jelly bunny served with a small pastry crisp. The bunny was almost too cute to eat!
I was slightly worried that all the main dishes would be too spicy for my palette, but I felt that each dish had a good amount of spice and flavour for me. I'm sure that for those spicy food fans out there you could order dishes that are much spicier or ask the chef to dial up the heat.
Note: I dined as guest of the venue. All views and opinions expressed are my own.
Lan Dining is located above a hot pot place. The atmosphere was great with a live singer, spacious tables and it was not loud like the usual Chinese restaurants. Service was attentive and efficient. I loved the presentation of all the dishes - they were 'fine dining' and allowed the chefs to showcase their creativity.
My fave dishes from the night were: Kung Bao Prawns, Tea Smoked Duck, Grilled Kangaroo Kebab (must try this one!), Live Parrot Fish, Spicy Lamb Ribs, Boiled Asparagus, Crispy Eggplant. For dessert we had Peach Gum with Papaya and the 'Mr. Bunny'
Tip: they have a secret phrase! Say “I’m looking for the cute bunny" to the waiters and you can get a free dessert 'Mr. Bunny' 🐰 Not sure how long this promo runs for, so get in quick!
Overall a nice fine dining experience.
A night full of entertainment and theatrics, this restaurant does traditional chinese food with a modern fancy twist.

Good taste and service. Not too many people on Tuesday night and the environment is good. A quite place to enjoy the dinner with friends. The egg salted corn and steam pork with millet taste good.
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Loved the presentation and the way they recreated traditional Chinese food into modern dining. The food was delicious too! Everything was yummy that I can't possibly describe them all. My Top 5 picks are: grilled Skewers, parrot fish soup, matsutake mushrooms & chicken soup, crispy eggplant, steamed chicken in chilli oil.
The skewers have hint of chilli, peppercorn, and smoothness. Parrot fish soup was sweet and flavoursome. Same goes to the mushroom chicken soup. Eggplant was very crispy, there was minced meat between two pieces of eggplant. Steamed chicken in chilli oil was great too. Don't worry it wasn't as spicy as it looks.
The ambience was great, spacious, with live music.
An exquisite place with delicacies - traditional Sichuan cuisine with modern twists and influence. The soups are always on the must try lists.
Fancy modern chuan food from 🇨🇳.
Saliva chicken was very fancy unlike the typical side dish style other places offer it in. Here it is a main dish! A lot of chicken in there. Good taste! Comes with a fancy holder and knock-knock.
Millet ribs with yam. Not a fan of this. They got some weird chilli sauce in there under the millet coating and the coating could not stay on the short ribs... Yam is mushy and bland
Zucchini spaght in chilli sauce is very refreshing! What a surprise! I hoped there was more! Apparently the cut was the key to good taste in this dish as someone (Xihuahua 🐶 ) good with a 🔪 pointed out.
We got complementary millet porridge and pickled cabbage too and they were fine. Service is quite good but you pay a premium here. Overall very good experience here!
this restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and energetic.
The food there was amazing~Lay-out is grand and spacious.
Manager (Jacky) is very friendly and hospitable and so as his service team.
Signature of tea smoked duck knocks down the other famous Peking Duck Chinese restaurant in Sydney。
love the light and bright dining room and the cozy ambience! the foods are all about fresh, good quality, superb techniques and creative presentations.
I quite like the tender grilled kangaroo kabab and the tea smoked duck with steamed pancakes. one thing suprised me was they provided slices of white bread on the side for the dish hapuka fillets in a fragrant broth, to remove excess oil as you scoop the fish fillet from the bowl.
Really enjoyed the foods and we absolutely will come back.
Had a small informal meeting with the person I respect. This restaurant was named as ‘China Chilli’ but then after it’s renovation and reformation of the menu, the overall ambience and taste levelled up!
Compared with the traditional Sichuan cuisine, the new menu is tailored to people prefer a light modern taste.
Also, they focus on ‘wellbeing’ as they launched ‘steamed honey 🍯 pawpaw’ for lady and ‘Kongfu Tea’ for gens.
I think if my parents were here, we might visit here regularly as my dad will definitely enjoy the spicy 🌶 steam fish and healthy mix-bean porridge, while my mom and I will enjoy the pawpaw a lot!!
Next time, Guorium🧪 and I might take his parents here!! They just reopened in March 2019.
The decoration is not bad. Food presentation is quite good. It is good for family or friend gathering. But for large group it might be a bit of crowded.
