Hungry Grasshopper is a charming suburban cafe located at the Haberfield Dalhousie Street roundabout. Family friendly with plenty of indoor space as well as outdoor seating, they have a nice range of cafe fare.
We love this place. Great coffee, friendly service and always very good food. Small menu but they are always accomodating if you want to make changes!
Lovely menu with a good selection. I had the eggs benedict with salmon. Nice decor and atmosphere. Reasonable prices too. Plenty of street parking which is convenient.
Gorgeous little cafe that is ticking all the boxes. Fresh food done well combined with quick and friendly service. The Hungry Grasshopper is very reasonably priced and most importantly serving great coffee!! I will deffinitely be back :)
Great local cafe! The food is up to its standard. Fresh ingredients, really simple yet delicious. The coffee is lovely too and the people that run the shop are very nice too. I can't fault this place!
Great little cafe in a quiet location, great community feel, very friendly staff & great service. I had the velvet eggs and coffee, eggs were simple but tasty, and the coffee was great. I highly recommend a visit, but probably at a quiet time as there isn't a lot of seating.
We noted that the main Blackboard Menu did have a Kids Menu section with a selection of meals (Baked Beans and Soldiers, Ham and Cheese Toastie, and a Mini Bacon Roll) that would be suitable at any time of day – a smart move – for anywhere between $4-$6 . The rest of the menu had an amazing selection of all day breakfasts including Eggs Benedict (with either Ham – $16, Bacon – $17, or Smoked Salmon – $17), Breaky Wrap (scrambled eggs, provolone cheese and chives) for $11, and a Bacon and Egg Roll for $7, among others. The breakie option of Salmon Eggs (scrambled eggs, dill, lemon and rye) for $17 sounded scrumptious – my mouth was watering as I read the words and imagined the plate arriving at the table. And the lunch options were just as nice including a selection of salads, burgers and wraps (all between $10-$16).
Friendly cafe in the sleepy end of Haberfield, more lunch options required, more hot food and vego options ideal, but this is a happy and welcoming little place. Coffee is okay but better can be found further up in Haberfield central
Great. A nice addition to this sleepy part of Haberfield. The decor is warm and inviting, as are the staff. Food and drinks arrived quickly and without any fuss.
My only criticism would be for the portions to be a bit bigger. For instance, the size of a $9.00 BLT is somewhere between a normal breadroll and a slider. Still, a tasty BLT nonetheless.
Love that this is my little local coffee shop! Great coffee! Fresh produce! Would encourage more lunch options though.
Hidden little gem away from the chaotic St which is Ramsey. Perfect spot for a quiet meal and a Cap. Friendly staff, always greeting you with a smile and always happy to serve. The coffee is just the way you like it and the food is cooked to your taste buds perfection 🥰 5 Stars guys!!
Relaxed and stylish in the leafy backstreets of Haberfield. My mocha was excellent and my cheese and tomato toasty was cooked just right and arrived in a few minutes. Also, very friendly service.
Service with a smile.
Coffee is on point every time and food is great. Highly recommend.
Good coffee, limited but very well executed breakfast menu, and great service. This little local gets very busy on the weekend but manages to keep up with the queue of takeaway.
Great coffee, friendly atmosphere, indoor and outdoor dining and open early.
Great local Cafe, good food and coffee. Had the breakfast burrito, can definitely recommend!
A great breakfast menu. Wholesome food. Friendly service.
Consistently excellent for breakfast or lunch, you need to check out Hungry Grasshopper Café if you haven't already.
Conveniently located, and with plenty of parking and seating, you'll have no issues getting there or getting seated. Then, service is prompt and friendly, and there's plenty of different options on the menu as they've got an all-day breakfast, good lunch options, and even a solid kids menu.
I've never gotten a bad coffee, whether its short or long, with or without milk. Although plenty of cafes might get it right, these guys always do.
