Winner, winner chicken dinner! Plump, glistening rotisserie chicken, a bunch of attractive salads and burgers starting from $14 all add up to a delicious, great value meal. The chicken schnitzel roll comes with tomato, a choice of lettuce or rocket and sauce served in a soft, crunchy roll. Chips are well seasoned with chicken salt. The peri peri chicken burger is pure delight.

Strangely, the beef is better. The first visit, I had the CCC signature burger, a huge burger with beef, chicken, bacon, onion, jalapeños, lots of cheese and a great sauce. Very messy but very worth $16. However, I wonder if the burger became greater than the sum of its parts, helped along by the special sauce. The fried chicken in the CCC seemed really flavoursome but wasn't as good when I had a straight fried chicken burger - still good but certainly no Thirsty Bird. I’ve also had the BBQ chicken - good but not as juicy as I’d like, and pretty expensive but you can get it with crispy chips and good veggies and salad. I then held off on reviewing until I had a chance to try a straight beef burger and it had the great quality beef patty I remembered from the CCC - the only thing that would improve it would be if it were actually cooked medium rare as is promised on the menu - and a good overall flavour from sauce, cheese and pickles, and at $12, it should be placed in the same league as the top trendy burgers in Sydney (although if you want something big and messy, definitely go for the CCC.
This place is to die for!! So cheap and so very good! $13 for the food in the image! Definitely my new fav spot and so easy to get to. Would definitely suggest to get the gravy cause it’s bomb!!
The first time I tried this was after a disappointing meal left feeling unsatisfied from a Viet restaurant in Newtown. An acquaintance kept repeating "chicky char char" rapidly like it was a mantra stuck in my head so I decided to ubereats. The first bite of my burger was amazing and the second was even more glorious. It was the burger that kept on giving, I just wanted to take another bite before I even finished chewing - that's how good it was!!
The second time here was more organised with my locksmith friend cause we knew we had discovered a needle in the haystack. As the food came out we were so excited with how honest and genuine the burgers were. There was just so much love put in making the burgers we couldn't help but smile and enjoy the moment.
So here I am my third time, just to present you this glorious picture that I had to have. Thanks chicky char char, I can't wait to see you again.
Burger lovers? Do not hesitate just give a try to this restaurant. They have some amazing burgers, huge and for such a good price 15$ for the one with bacon, fried chicken, beef, egg and cheese). I tried different of them and their are juicy but not too fatty and their fries are also very good. They also sell whole or half cooked chicken which are very good too. I even give a try to one salad, the beetroot and their seasoning was amazing (and I am a salad lover too so it is really a compliment).

The food wasn't too bad and same with the service.
They didn't have the burger I wanted to order so was a bit disappointed.
The chicken souvlaki was on point but the burger had a bit too much sauce.
The potatoes were good but lacking the lemon flavour they were supposed to have.
The pricing was pretty good.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the price! $10 for most of their classic burgers.. what a steal! I decided to try the Fried Chicken burger meal (extra $6.60 for fries and drink). The burger was a decent size and juicy, however it was kind of plain for my liking. The chips were thick cut fries, and very filling.
I was so impressed with the pricing of Chicky Char Char, especially in comparison to others in the area. The menu really caters for a wide range of options. From burgers to salads to chicken meals and more. I chose a large container from the salad bar. It was $12.00 and actually a family size container with a raised lid. Each of the salads were generous with chicken and really satisfying. I will continue to go for a great lunch option!
Wow. That burger was intense. Had the T. rex. Massive burger which normally aren't too tasty. This one was delicious! Had poutine fries which were a bit of a let down. But the service was great.
While I appreciate the humour in a burger named horny cow, I think it should be "HOLY COW". Hands down the best cheese burger I have had. None of this burger tower with everything in it, just a honest to goodness epic mouthful of beef goodness.
Great chicken burgers, salads and chicken. The special burgers are also excelent. The one draw back are chips are not to my taste as I prefer shoe string but they are crispy.

Triple wagyu beef, triple fried chicken, triple bacon, triple cheese, 2 fried eggs, caramelized onions, pickles, tomato relish, mayo, mustard and optional Chips (I discovered halfway through) 🍔🍟 The previous record was 6:34mins and with the threat of a $30 bill and shame in front of my fiancé I managed to knock it over in 5:30mins to get the meal free and a CCC cap as well.
Sometimes I hate smashing food as fast as possible coz its hard to enjoy - but I'd definitely return for some of these burgs in the future 👌

I've been to a lot of Chicken shops and for me if you don't stand out then you're just another face in the crowd
Although they have some very creative and well crafted burgers and rolls, the chicken itself is still not Quite up there with the best in the business
But I can see them making ground if they keep doing the small things right
Had the horny cow & chicky crisp, w/fries and nutella brownie shake. Burgers were great - beef patty was cooked well and cheese + sauces were nice. Chicken was crispy and not too oily. Can get messy but hand washing station is available which is great. Nutella brownie shake was average. Fries had a tad too much seasoning which was unevenly distributed so they were hard to eat unless drenched in sauce. Lots of people popping in to eat in as well as take away. Prices are nice and cheap, staff are friendly and service is quick.
Great burgers and amazing service here and was well worth the drive. I had the my 5 & 4 year olds with me who both really enjoyed the Nutella milkshakes. I had the Zomato burger which was cooked beautifully and was a taste sensation. Will definitely be back.
We had a chicken burger and a beef burger. The chicken burger was lovely with a nice balance of flavours. The beef burger came out almost raw and we had to send it back. They told us this is how they did their beef burgers ( why anyone would do this and expect to stay in business?) . They replaced it with a properly cooked beef burger which was quite tasty though a bit over-salted due to the pickle, mustard combo.
So in summary try the chicken burgers but avoid the beef unless you are a fan of steak tartare.
With the Zomato ultimate 1.5kg burger challenge happening on Sunday - I was given vouchers by Zomato to try the mega burger and it was pretty nice. They have a range of food here such as salads and chicken and burgers and the customer service is very attentive. The space is nice and has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Chicky Char Char opened up about half a year ago filling a void in the area for chicken shops. Apparently, they do burgers as well and actually have an upcoming event with Zomato on the 21st of February. While I don't normally consider any burger with chicken in it to be a real burger, I made an exception to review the Zomato Mega Burger and considered the fried chicken as an extra topping.
Waygu beef patty, fried chicken breast, double crispy bacon, double red cheddar cheese, fried egg, caramelized red onions, baby gherkins, tomato relish, mayo and American mustard.
This burger is pretty freaking huge, but does bigger mean better? In this case...eh. If you're hungry this will fill you up plenty and you can skip the fries. The milk bun is toasted and doesn't fall apart under the contents, and it works well for the burger. There's a little too much going on with this burger though and with all the ingredients the flavour kind of gets washed out, so the chicken and beef just become texture instead of the focus. The only thing I could really identify was the mustard and caramelized red onions but they were tasty. The Wagyu beef is cooked medium rare and pretty juicy, but it's not seasoned much at all so it comes off as bland and a filler. A little more salt and pepper and extra seasoning would do wonders for the patty. Worth ordering if you're hungry.

Good chicken. The peri peri sauce is really nice. Also the roast veg and potatoes are great. It's well priced and probably the best chicken option in the area.
Craving a burger I ordered the Chicky Crisp gourmet burger. The chilli mayo was oozing, the fried chicken was crispy and crunchy and the chaddar cheese was melting beautifully. The bun was soft and melted into my mouth - absolutely loved it! Looking forward to trying their weekly specials.

This place has really impressed me, even so I'm sitting in the restaurant writing the review $15 for a premium chicken burger fries and a drink is pretty good, the quality also of the chicken is outstanding and cooked to perfection, staff seem friendly and happy to help also onsite bathrooms as well as nice modern decor. Highly recommended
Finally found a local chicken shop that has quality food!! Got the chicken schnitzel and chips with gravy and it was delicious! A lot of variety and food was great!

Came here tonight for dinner. Had the Horney Cow burger with the beetroot , goats cheese & pumpkin salad and chips. Would come here again definitely.

Yep it's that good! Intensely satisfying flavors, generous portions, quality ingredients prepared with passion. They truly shame every other burger joint that I have tried in Sydney by doing everything perfectly. If you haven't tried a burger at Chicky Char Char, do yourself a favour and go there ASAP. You gotta try the best burgers in Sydney, and reach a higher stage of culinary enlightenment.
The specials are on point; had the "Big Fat Greek Burger" last week, and have been dreaming of it ever since. Definitely recommend this to whoever is in the area.
Been here a couple times now and havent been let down. The horny cow burger and rosemary chilli salt chips are to die for!! Yuum yuum would definitely go back!! 😋🍔
Zomato burger is awesome however the quality of the chips have gone from awesome to just plain average. So disappointed! Please sort out the chips and return them to their former glory!
Found Chicky Char Chat through the Eatclub app and was so surprised at the quality of the meal. We had the Portuguese Chicken which was nice, the Alexandria Salad which was full of chicken and the medium would have been enough as a meal on its own. What surprised me was the size and taste of the souvlaki, juicy and full of flavour. Small salad and 1 or 2 Souvlaki would be more then enough for a big eater.
Awesome and super friendly staff, topped off with the best charcoal chicken imaginable! Great value, great charcoal flavour and perfectly cooked.
