Generally very good, but opening earlier or on time would be an advantage.
If you can't decide between coffee and dessert . what better way to enjoy a drink offers a tasty blend of the two ? You probably don't know that making the red velvet latte is harder than normal coffee, because that the espresso would just override the red coloring , only the very experienced barista can make a latter art heart on the top of red velvet latte. The taste like a mix between Raspberry and chocolate.
Be consistent with the name of the cafe [Gather on the green], turmeric ingredient provides the absolutely health benefits , you would definitely love it. The main ingredient of turmeric can improves digestion , boosts detoxification and also improve the skin conditions. Thanks to gatheronthegreen for bring such inspiring , scenery and healthy drink to Sydney.
Always treated as a friend not just as a customer from my very first visit. Staff is very honest (sometimes to a fault). Great atmosphere and great food but its definitely the staff that keeps me coming back.
This lovely little cafe with a few tables inside and out is located opposite a sprawling lawn on a small street. Very busy on weekends but during the weekday you can usually pull up a seat to a very tasty cup of coffee. They have sweet items and good cafe fare.
Will definitely return but probably not with large groups or little children unless you're a local. Good spot for couples and catching up with friend s.
Quite impressed with Gather on the Green. In a nutshell, really great prices and hearty meals.
I ordered the scrambled tofu and a completely different dish was brought out and was actually on the order receipt as well. When it was taken away I overheard the order go through incorrectly again as scrambled eggs, but luckily I mentioned it was the scrambled tofu dish again and finally it went through. Because of this though, it came out a fair bit after the first dish but oh well. In the end it was a great dish and had spinach and mushrooms as well. Flavouring was slightly sweet but not unpleasant in a savoury dish. I asked for no butter on the toast, but apparently it was really nice, almost as if it had cheese on it. Baked eggs with baked beans was delicious as well. And both at $15 and $15.50 – you’ll notice the other dishes have attractive pricing also.
Coffee was great! Strong and slightly bitter, so if that’s up your alley you’ll love this. They also now have matcha lattes and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not overly sweet and comes in a huge mug. Personally I could have done with a stronger matcha taste, but that’s just me and it is still really nice as it is.
Pretty good food and service here. Friendly but it does get busy here too. I had Corn Fritter. The actual fritter itself was slightly dry but the labne and tomato relish helped with keeping it more moist. I substitute the smoked salmon with bacon instead and was a great addition. I had a Mocha to go with it and it was nice. Finished off with a Lemon Tart and and it hit the spot. Enough tartness to go with the creaminess and pastry was nice.
Cute little cafe nestled away next to the oval. Really great atmosphere, an amazing 'hangover cure' big breakfast, gluten free options, coffee was pretty up there. All in all a great little establishment.
Tucked away next to the quiet reserve, this cafe blew me away! Service was a 10, the Soy chai latte and mocha was a 10, don't even get me started on the FOOD!! Ordered the BLAT and it was one of the best I've ever had- fresh ingredients housed in a crunchy baguette with garlic aioli. Was truly amazing. The brioche French toast with grilled bananas and bacon was also a winner.
Looking forward to coming back next week!
Really simple but delicious whole foods! The haloumi was some of the best I've had so I would highly recommend. My only problem was I came back to this place and the second time it wasn't as good as the poached eggs were hard 😭
Winner!!!
Super impressed with this hidden gem. Big menu and the food was really tasty. The salmon was beautifully cured.
Haloumi stack was good, as was the green juice.
Friendly staff and the option to have your food picnic style - at the park - is very cool!
Only down point was a very weak Chai tea (this keeps happening!), and also slow service. The cafe seemed busy but obviously a lot of orders were also coming from the park which meant we waited a long time for food and drinks. Beautiful morning though so definitely wasn't an issue!
Can't wait to head back..
Cute little place where the food is delicious and the staff are lovely. However the chai latte I ordered wasn't so good. There were grainy cinnamon bits stuck at the bottom that werent mixed. And frankly it just didn't taste as good as the chai latte in the adjacent cafe.
I love this little gem overlooking the park. sitting outside on a sunny morning is beautiful, but the couches inside are nice for lazing too. there are heaps of vegetarian options including an amazing scrambled tofu
A friendly, little community style cafe that is opposite the park serving a well thought out selection of cafe favourites. Grab a rug provided by the cafe and sit out in the fresh air, to sip, munch and play on sunny days.
Gather On the Green is a cute, popular, little community style cafe. It’s tiny on the inside and not great for prams, but don’t worry because outside, under the awning, there is still plenty of room for buggies at the cafe’s tables. And of course across the road there is even more space at Camperdown Park. The green location is one of the big draw-cards for local families and the sleepy little cul-de-sac in Fowler street provides an unusually safe space for kids to explore the park with its big shady trees and grass. It’s hard to imagine you are so close to the grime and noise of Parramatta Road! Grab a rug provided by the cafe and sit out in the fresh air, to sip, mu
For adults, the breakfast menu is extensive, delicious and as I mentioned before cheap! I ordered the famous Gather on the Green scrambled parmesan eggs and bacon, that came with loads of Brasserie Bread sourdough toast for $12.00! I haven't seen a dish like that cheaper than $16.00 for ages. Their bacon and egg roll with spicy relish was $6.50 and it received the thumbs up from the B & E roll connoisseur Mr Itch, and our other dining companion who was in town from Singapore, had the smashed avocado and fetta on toast with a side of bacon for $14.00. If you are dining at lunch time, they have an interesting assortment of burgers, sandwiches and salads to whet your appetite.
All in all, a cute little cafe that hits the spot for a quick bite to eat. Next time we decide to come for lunch and try the ploughman’s lunch which is supposedy delish!
The cafe is cosy and welcoming and whilst there aren’t many patrons there, the people who are, seem to be known to the staff. Which is always a nice thing to experience in a local eatery.
Tasty food, reasonably priced. Wonderful atmosphere except when too many dogs/infants are present. However they can dissipate themselves in the park opposite. Charming efficient and amiable service. It is our local café so I shouldn't really be writing this review if I want things to remain as they are...
Summer Favourite. This is my local cafe so I come here regularly. I would say it's my favourite coffee in the inner west area, a winner every time. You can grab a blanket and sit out in the park if you'd like to dine out in the sun, which is always a treat on a sunny day. Lovely place
Cute. Place is cute I gotta say. They really serve the surrounding hipsters well with house and park service. Smart move to use the park as a serving ground without paying rent for it!
Service was a tad slow, and the lady who sorted our payment was a little young and inexperienced (read: not charming/dim attitude), but overall was cute. Will buy a macchiato here.
LOVE!. Lot this little spot, it's soooo good!! Food is great, decor is amazing,
Parkside is amazing, can't get much better than this!!
One of my favourite places for breaky. Order inside, grab a rug and chill on the green in the sun until they bring you out your delicious grub and coffee. Corn fritters are exceptional! Friendly staff too.
Just lovely :). Best homemade muffins ever, friendly staff, delicious food, wonderful location :)
Cute little cafe with yummy organic and free range brekky that doesn't break the budget. They offer picnic rugs to eat at the park across the road too. Nice place to catch up with friends over brunch.
They use sustainable and locally sourced produce in their dishes. A great all day brekky menu with a lot of egg based options as well healthier muesli and brasserie bread. Coffee is fantastic. Can give their pies a miss. Friendly and chilled vibe overlooking the park.
Unique concept of letting you order and they will bring you your meal wherever you're chilling in the park on a rug outside. Great place to take a small group of friends. Not very spacious inside, but the decor and the staff are very hip. The food is tasty and the menu is varied enough for return visits. The coffee is amazing.
Great cafe across the road from Camperdown Park. If the weather is nice, bring a picnic rug and eat on the grass. The food was fantastic and the portions are large. My kids and I enjoyed our Saturday brunch. The Lobster Eggs Benedict was well worth it! We will be back again to try other dishes! Highly recommended!
If you are looking for a good spot to have a coffee and a bite to eat, with a good outlook, this is a great place to check out. Nestled snugly by a park, with families ambling by and dogs sniffing the ground, this is a nice spot to enjoy - though it can be pretty busy...
This is a great neighbourhood cafe.
Located next to Camperdown oval, the cafe allows you to sit in the park and will deliver your meals to you, they also offer picnic blankets.
The food here is classic cafe food, I dine here a lot and generally have scrambled eggs, they are a little hit and miss with the cooking, sometimes the eggs are over cooked and sometimes they get them right, they always taste great though.
Coffee here is by Campos so you know what to expect, they also offer all the milks you could wish for.
We go here weekly. Consistent, excellent food and coffee. Lovely staff. Highly recommended!
some ppl eats in the park across. I had Tofu&Mushroom. Sourdough is amazingly crispy and yummy,I could eat only sourdough itself. We can sit in front of the park as well.
Their burgers are great. I had a wagyu beef burger and it was so tasty, the staffs also were very friendly and a good service. Though they have a small place, you can sit anywhere at the park and they will deliver the order.
Overall was a great experience and will come back again
Really lovely little cafe. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of options to sit inside and outside, as well as a vast supply of picnic blankets to sit on the park or oval just opposite the cafe (and they'll bring food over to you). Coffee was decent and the food was yummy. Good spot for casual catch ups, with kids and or dogs!
