Love the ice cream here and best of all, they pile it up hiiigh! So there's heaps more to eat.
The flavours change here and there which I like as you get to try something different each time you go back.
Service is also really good and prices are pretty good for what you get.
Presentation is also really good.
Definitely one to visit.
I live in San Francisco. The land where it is ice cream weather perhaps ... 2 days a year. For about 2 hours on each of those days. It makes me very sad, as I love eating ice cream in the sun. Soft serve ice cream in particular. In a cone. With toppings. I miss it. I was thrilled to discover that soft serve is a fad in Sydney, which does make sense, given the incredible weather. The first day I was in town I *had* to visit Aqua S, the best soft serve I discovered on my last two trips, and of course I needed to go to Messina for gelato as it is such a Sydney institution, but, as I neared the end of my trip, it was time to check out somewhere new.
so worth the 8 bucks - both in flavour & portion size! a must try 💖 we had the chocolate & the passionfruit mango and both were super yum. service was 10/10 & the wall deco made for a good picture 😉

😍 CHOCOLATE CITY 😍
This delicious creation from Good Times Ice Cream at Potts Point has chocolate gelato, with peanut butter cookie, walnut brownie and chocolate sauce 🏆 DELICIOUS.
And it’s Dairy free. Thankyou John for looking after us.
I’m really bummed that I didn’t go for my usual vice which is something chocolatey, intense and biscuity because the ice cream sandwiches which tick all of those boxes looked amazing.
Instead I decided to go for the Ziggy Stardust which was a wonderful peachy flavour with crunch and interesting toppings. If that’s your vibe it was delicious, fresh and a massive serving size, but it’s just not as satisfying to me as chocolate. Nothing to do with Good Times at all! They were also really friendly here, I would definitely come back!
I've been meaning to come here for ages, because they do fancy ice creams, and I love my ice creams. This year has also been a year of eating a variety of soft serves, from prices to flavours throughout the world. Was in the area so decided to come here for dessert. There's a few bench top seats inside, but generally it's quite a small shop.
Few weeks ago It as very warm and I was craving for ice cream, I was in Potts point for lunch so I decided to go there for dessert. They are selling soft serve but not only, they also make some huge dessert like the one I took , the Sweet honey daze which was composed of vanilla soft serve, burnt honey, honeycomb, popcorn and fudge and this for 10$. The ice cream was really good and all the topings too. They also have ice cream sandwich which look pretty good. And they are partner of the entertainment book so if you have it you may have to eat 2 desserts for the price of one … life is hard right?
Delicious cones, great service and I love their toppings!! Would definitely recommend checking them out! They make their own honeycomb too which is amazing!! So goooood!!
Artisan, Food, Food Safari, Ice Cream, Kings Cross, Macaron, Potts Point, Sydney, Sydney Restaurants. Good Times Artisan Ice Cream was our last stop on our Food Safari day. Actually it was meant to be a much earlier stop but for some reason they weren’t open despite their social media pages saying they’d be open from 12pm. Anyway, we finally made it.
The ice cream is AMAZING. Soft serve and perfectly sweet. I get the Varhola chocolate because it's dairy free and its still just as amazing and creamy as you'd expect regular ice cream to be. Their ice cream sandwiches are also 10/10. Even the sorbet ones! And the staff is always so sweet. I'm shocked this place doesn't have a higher rating!
Wanting to try this ever since I saw them at Sweet Street last year with the bacon crumb ice cream & I didn't get one! We stopped here after dinner for some dessert, not realising how massive the serving is, we got one each, me the Lady Gaga which is vanilla soft serve with white choc shards, lady fingers & choc sauce; my friend got the Gelato Paradiso which was a citrus based soft serve with cinnamon biscuits & meringue. The gigantic side aside, the it was actually not that heavy to eat, the flavours were good, not too sweet & a good varieties of textures. However the soft serve was quite icey & melted really really quickly, it was literally a race between eat & drip! Drip won. Still, it was good while it lasted.
Mate had a ricotta flavoured soft serve with chocolate shards, caramel sauce and a cannoli. Super indulgent, but delightful. I tried some of the soft serve and it was pretty darn good - it's hard to compare it to anything because it has its own unique, delicious flavour. But I need to get one for myself next time.
I had the dulce de leche ice cream sandwich, which had two macaroons for the "bread" of the sandwich. Visually it is stunning, and the actual ice cream was creamy and lovely caramel flavour. The macaroon was also nice. Together, they were very sweet but still yum.
The ice cream here is VERY instagram worthy. The decoration isn't just for show though as the ice cream really tastes good. I would love it if they have a wider variety.
Id been wanting to get to this place for months and the day I went it was overcast and raining. Nevertheless - morning glory jazzed up ice cream cone - breakfast soft serve with nutella fudge drizzle, honeycomb crumble and maple bacon. Incredibly nice! And ultra thin wafer cone. So good.
Pretty good for soft serve ice-cream 🍦

Instagram has exploded with pictures of the incredible icecreams at Good Times, and on a recent visit to Sydney I couldn’t resist stopping by. The store is a narrow, hole-in-the-wall place, so don’t expect seating of any kind, but do expect friendly, prompt service. I ordered the Ziggy Stardust ($10), with lychee, mint and coconut sorbet, topped with freeze-dried blackberries, pop rocks, strawberry powder and a white chocolate star. For me, it was the full combination of ingredients that made this special. I liked the sorbet, with its refreshing balance of lychee and mint, with just a hint of coconut (not too overpowering), but I loved
Ice cream is normally not that complicated for me as I rarely crave for it. However, Good Times occupied too much of my curiosity from the initial Instagram hype to some very good reviews here on Zomato to then waning off with comments that mentioned over priced soft serves to ice creams that melted too quick.
I had walked past it on four prior occasions but was too full to contemplate it. However, after finishing Thirsty Bird and with several friends who are ice cream addicts, I was not going to pass by this opportunity tonight. The menu on the lightboxes didn't really explain much with their quirky names so the paper menu was far more informative. I chose the 'Not so pure blond" that had salted caramel ice cream, scattered with home made honeycomb crumb and pieces and chunks of chocolate crackle. This was pretty much all my childhood favourites in one and it was spectacular in a cone that was crisp and tasted freshly made. My fussy ice cream friends also loved their flavours, namely the lychee sorbet which had genuine fresh fruit flavours.
The $10 for essentially soft serve may not appeal to some but the flavours are unique and with the 'bells and whistles' added of cruchy honeycomb or pop rocks; add another dimension that makes it special. The ice cream also does tend to melt a little too quick as others mentioned but I guess that's why they provide the holder to catch the drops!
The smell enters your nose holes as soon as you walk into the store. It’s the deliriously good smell of freshly made waffle cones. I’m of the opinion that soft serve, ice cream and the like taste better in cones – it’s extra calories but I never counted anyway. There are any number of soft serve flavours on offer at a time – have just the soft serve (plain), or with an assortment of toppings/coatings (bells & whistles) or ice cream sandwiches.
So much fun and so good! Nathan and Sali have made a labour of love here. The menu changes every few weeks, giving you something to look forward to for the return. The creations are inventive and fun to look at and eat. Staff are friendly and love what they get to create.

With clean white tiles and white t-shirts with rolled up sleeves, Good Times Artisan Ice Cream aims to tug directly on your nostalgia by summoning up images of ice-cream men leaning out of Mr. Whippy vans with your favourite childhood cone. Except, at least in my memories, they didn’t quite have the tattooed guns this bloke is sporting, as he hands over Johns Sweet Candy ($10).Johns Sweet Candy is constructed on a blueberry and maple soft serve that relies only on a fruit puree for its purple-blue tinge. Served in a cone or cup, it comes studded with hardened mini pancakes and bacon crumble that is glued to the soft serve with lashings of caramel maple sauce. It didn’t quite win me over, though it’s hard to tell whether it was the blueberry maple flavour wearing thin, or flashbacks to that article I read detailing all the chemicals that are put into soft serve to keep it soft. Ziggy Stardust ($10) on the other hand, is my kind of man
Was quite excited to try their ice cream as I had heard high praises. Happened to be in the area and dropped in for after dinner dessert. Opted for their John's Sweet Candy option. The bacon crumble was quite nice but everything else was quite average. I also enjoyed the La Dulce Vite ice cream sandwich. I'm a fan of salted caramel and I think this one was my favourite. All in all, this place is a nice change from other ice creameries but there isn't much variety. If I was in the area again, I would probably try something else from their menu.
Visited on Saturday after a day out in the city with the sister and girlfriend.
I had the Johns Sweet Candy from the new(ish) menu which was Blueberry & Maple Syrup Icecream, Pancake Pieces, Maple Caramel Sauce and Bacon Crumble. It was very interesting to say the least with the bacon crumble, but very nice. I really enjoyed the flavour combinations of the maple, bacon and blueberry. I also tried the Texas Tea which had a nice coffee flavour to go with the chocolate and brownie bits.
It's cash only, which is a pain in the ass if you don't carry cash, but there is a woolworths next door that you can get cash out from.
Worth a visit if you are ever in Potts Point!
Nice menu with different options. $10 seems a bit steep for a soft serve but I guess you don't need to carry the loose change around. There is no seating area so be ready to eat your ice cream on the footpath. Customer service is attentive and it's made very quickly.

I really really wanted to visit this place as I was hearing so many goods about this place on social media. Eventually, I organised a time with my friend and we embarked on a dessert journey to this place. The location is in Potts point which was a little bit of a hassle to find parking on the Weekends but we were eventually able to find a spot for 1 hour; drivers be wary. Anyways, we ordered the 'michelin man' and 'donkey kong' flavours which were absolutely superb. The visual and taste of the ice creams were immaculate. Next time I will give the ice cream cookies a try!
We decided to make the trek from Chinatown to Potts Point with the aim of rewarding ourself with ice cream once we reached our destination. Our goal was Good Times. When we arrived, we were greeted by a neon ice cream sign signalling what was to come. The quirkily named creations made decision hard but we settled on Stifler's Mom - vanilla bean ice cream, freeze dried apples, cookies and butterscotch sauce. Had to giggled a bit when we went up to the counter and asked for a Stifler's Mom. Jokes aside, the ice cream was smooth and creamy. Perfect soft serve consistency. Paired with the crunchy chunks of cookies and slightly tart apple slices, it went down a treat. Only complain was that the centre of the ice cream was an empty hole of nothingness - felt a bit ripped off considering it was not cheap. They could at least filled it up.
Still trying to get their act together. Icecream was very nice. I had the dairy free chocolate which was made with coconut milk but I couldn't taste the coconut. They had run out of gluten free cones. My husband had peaches and cream which was too sour for him (tasted like yoghurt). Staff were polite but very inefficient. Very small place with inefficient design.
Amazing place and concept. Took me back to Big Gay Ice Cream in NYC. I love the tongue in cheek tone, friendly staff and above all, easy to understand, simple wholesome flavours all of which are made from scratch which absolutely astounds me! On top of that, GLUTEN FREE CONES No other words needed. Lastly, for $10 I was rolling in ice cream, talk about generous serves. I'll be back time and time again for the delicious product and excellent experience. Thanks Good Times Crew
Born from the brain of Nathan Sasi (formerly of Nomad), Good Times is a rollicking ice cream joint with soft serve laced with crazy toppings and delectable ice cream sandwiches. With a menu that rotates every month, it’s a small store with big ideas and awesome flavours.
Sydney's soft serve game has been seriously lifted. HOW CAN SOFT SERVE BE THIS INCREDIBLE?! I ordered the Ziggy, once you lick through the pop rocks and strawberry powder you reach the perfectly infused real strawberry soft serve. The tempered white star the blackberries, the whole things packs serious wow power.
I work and live nowhere near Potts point but I can still see this becoming a regular spot to fuel my ice cream addiction. Can't wait to try all the flavours!

This place is fab! It is quite different to all the other ice cream places in Sydney and we love that! The flavours are extremely unique and the presentation of the ice cream is very visually appealing. LOVING the cone holders!! We highly recommend the chocolate ice cream sandwich, it is difficult to eat but is beyond delish Xx

Everything's better with bacon. That includes ice cream. At Good Times Artisan Ice Cream, a massive bacon shard is the crowning glory on the Smashing Pumpkin, a why-didn't-anyone-else-think-of-that-first combo of salted caramel ice cream with pumpkin, peanut praline and caramel popcorn.
Good Times couldn't haver opened at a better time, providing cool and creative salvation to Sydneysiders sweltering in a week-long heatwave. It's like the giant neon ice cream sign has become a homing beacon for sweet tooths. The spill of people across the footpath is hard to miss.
The kids enjoyed it, and so did I. A little pricey, but good quality. The fit out is started to look a bit 'tired' though. Not much seating, but not really a problem.
The shop is small with not much seating, but it isn't that much of a problem since it's usually pretty quiet. The ice cream in the tubs were very nice, especially more so with the price. The ice cream sandwiches were a bit messy to eat but they were smooth and creamy just like the ones in the tubs. The one staff member who worked there when I visited was very friendly and keen to offer other good places to eat in the Sydney area.
The ice cream man in the shop was super friendly and had some great advice on which ice cream to try (all of them!). We decided to try one each, the chocolate marshmallow cookie and the blood orange sorbet with suggested toppings (I forget the topping name) and they were amazing!
We will be back one day to try another flavour!
Well done.
Went here on an ice cream date with my friend- had a milkshake and ice cream sandwich with deepfried ice cream all dishes were more-ish...
If you're in the mood for fancy ice cream, Good Times at Potts Point is your place to go. Menus change on a regular basis, whether it be their sundaes, ice cream sandwiches or soft serves. Best thing is all their ice creams are insta-worthy. Parking may be a pain at times (it is Potts Point after all) and some may baulk at the prices - but I don't mind.
