We stopped by the bakery on Ross Street hoping to pick up some pastries however this afternoon didn’t offer much selection however they did have a choice of organic sourdough bread. I bought the Organic Sourdough White. Service was lovely. The bread was crusty on the outside and a nice soft interior. It had a nice mouth feel to it.
Goose bakery has all the right ingredients; the friendliest staff who know the names of the constant stream of people and incredible bread, pastries and coffee.
I had read that the baker Toshi makes some of the best soughdough and croissants in Sydney and i was not disappointed.
I have been wanting to come here for some time now and finally made it. And it did not disappoint! A small place filled with deliciousness and joy as everything looked amazing & staff are all so friendly. Coffee is great & comes with a car or plane shaped shortbread cookie which is made inhouse and delicious! Crispy & buttery and you can buy a bag to go. The croissanta were like in France & had a burnished shiny, crispy exterior encasing airy layers of buttery goodness inside. The chocolate croissant was my favourite with thr best of croissant & chocolate! The danishes all looked so pretty so will have to try next time. I also loved the sourdough which is mild and not too dense but had a lovely fluffy texture & flavour. The madeines were so good & again buttery and i loved the hint of orange. The quiche is generously portioned & so healthy filled with veggies and the spicy chorizo roll is a winner. So happy with my find & looking forward to trying the matcha latte so which I have been told is great!
I went because I was hungry and this place is open early, but it turned out to be a good find! I think it'll be better if the tomato pieces in the quiche are smaller, and I'm not much for the sour cherry croissant because it's too soud for me but everything is so good! I wish they have more options for quiches... especially quiche lorraine but that's just my preference of course.
The homemade pastries and biscuits are amazing - coffee is good too. The usual beatles/simon and garfunkle tunes, smell of fresh baked goods and incredibly warm staff make this place so cozy and homey!
OMG I think I was attracted by the biscuit haha! Anyway the coffee is worth a try and the service is nice and fast. BTW the salad is quite cheap.
I bring 2 or 3 loaves back to my Central Coast farm, and have been doing so for years. The sourdough is best eaten fresh, but toasted will last a week, if I buy enough. Great Bakery.
I love Goose. Everything is amazing, the people are tops, what more could you want? I don't understand these other reviewers who are all "This place was perfect" then hit it up with a measly 3.5. Goose ain't no 3.5. It's 5/5, baby. I hear Goose is about to get approved by the FDA cause Goose is better than any antidepressant out there. Get it in you.
Five Senses coffee was good. Creamy, smooth cup at the perfect temperature. Also comes with a buttery shortbread at just $3.50. Lovely, polite service.
Had coffee toast and a Danish patty here. The coffee was smooth and had great depth of flavour.
Toast uses thier fresh baked bread, which is simple and delightful. Nice and crusty and chewy on the inside.
The pastries must be thier speciality here. Lovely flaky pastry and a great tasting filling. Will definitely be back to try thier other delights
Fantastic pastries, good Coffe and tasty food served by lovely people. I was there many times. These people have an eye for the details and are always friendly! Always! 😉 Thank you and see you again.
Sometimes you just want to escape a fancy brunch and have a good old fashion pastry. Goose is now a local fav for just that. Always greeted by the 2 loveliest people ever with never a stress on their face. Coffee is consistent and the pastries are just perfect. Crossiants are a must.
I love Goose, it's my new favourite local. They do an avo toast (simple I know) for a very affordable $4. They also do good coffee using Five Senses beans and will give you a cute biscuit to go with it. I've had a decent sandwich from there too and today I had a quiche ($8), all quite decent. The best thing about Goose though are the people behind it, a very lovely and friendly couple.
Warm friendly staff. Great new local cafe. Yummy charcoal macarons especially the salted caramel and great coffee! Must try the chocolate croissant too!
Ross St is the road less travelled in Glebe but it's definitely worth the journey now that we have In The Annex and Goose Bakery right across the road from each other. Goose Bakery is mostly takeaway but there is some seating at a communal table, and street side. The owners are really lovely and this is their first venture but they have a great pedigree being Bourke St Bakery aluminaries. We tried some of their sandwiches (very tasty and good value) as well as a selection of the charcoal macaroons. These were gorgeous - the best macaroons I've tried in Sydney. The prices are really reasonable - $3 for a macaroon, $4 for avocado on toast. This is a great little place to pop in and pick up a bite to eat. Be prepared to wait however as those low prices are only possible because they are running on very skinny staffing.
The duo owners were ex-Bourke Street Bakery, the place wasn't that big but so bright from the natural light. Service was so warm and kind, made you feel like part of the family.
Their coconut croissant and salted caramel are 2 of my favorites!
Croissant was flaky, light and so buttery! Inside was also filled with dessicated coconut and definitely full of coconut sweetness and flavour.
Salted caramel tart had tender chocolate crust and the salted caramel was a bit gooey when you dig into it. It had a clear salty taste with the right balance of sweetness! I am not a salted caramel fan but this one is an exception.
The apple cheese cake had the soft Japanese cotton cake style with sweet apple pieces and dark chocolate crust base.
Macaron shell was quite crispy with sweet buttercream based filling. Green tea taste was still quite subtle for my liking and I actually prefer ganache to buttercream
