I had dinner here the other night - the cafe / restaurant is now called "The Associate". The food was excellent - came out quickly and fine dining flavours for a very reasonable price. Often near the Downing Centre for work and rely on The Associate for my morning coffee, which is A+++. Keep up the good work guys - I love the new look inside!
i went because i think the building is very interesting, indeed, it has a good architecture but the "atmosphere" is a little dead... anyway. I did try just a hot chocolate (4 bucks regular size) and it was really good. If i walk there again sure i'll take other hot chocolate
This place has great coffee and sandwiches. It's also really spacious so you don't feel cramped when a lot of people are in there. The service can be a little slow at times but is mostly okay.
Lovebites is your go to for coffee. Great coffee have never had a bad one from here. Great location in the heart of the city. Highly recommend for you caffeine hit

WHAT: A Scandinavian arboretum style cafe, in the heart of the city. Perfect for a more relaxed, long-lunch coffee. Look up while you do it at the canopy, without the bird poop. You know those annoying lovebites you get, after a steamy tousle in the back seat of the car? Or furtively, afterclass in your dorm room, hoping your roommate is asleep? Lovebite cafe is anything but annoying, rather yet another happy landmark for those of us seeking to get a bit of gastronomical pleasure on a weekday.
Consistently good coffee and the food is excellent. Pricing is outstanding - great value for money. Their banana bread is one of the best I've tried. Highly recommended!
Fabulous!. This is a lovely little cafe. First impressions, everything is spotlessly clean and neat. The food is just what you want. I had the snapper fillet today, beautifully cooked, very fresh vegetables, made with a minimum of fuss. My daughter had the lamb salad which looked amazing too. We will be back.
Great breakfast. Porridge, banana and Turkish bread were excellent, the coffee is pretty good too. Also, the fresh fruit salad with Greek yoghurt and honey was healthy, hearty and very satisfying.
Always Excellent!. The service is excellent, the coffee is incomparable and above all, it's convenient.
I have visited this place first time. My friend and I walked into this coffee shop as it was on our way to the Central Station. Itwas spacious and clean. I liked the coffee and a cake. However, I had to eat my dessert using a main dish folk. It was a little bit unusual. Overall, I liked the place.
I ordered eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the big brekky. We were surprised at how large the servings were and wow was it all tasty! Latte was yummy as well! Everything came out so fast, too. Highly recommend this place!
Great spot for work meeting. They have space to get a little privacy if needed. Service is friendly and food is very well proportioned.
Update! New barrister is in the place and I'm adjusting the review up to 4/5. Only a point lost for some delays in food production without having telling you ahead of time that they're out of premades.
Old review:
Your experience is heavily reliant on who's on the coffee machine, I've gone there quite regularly and it seems the turnover of staff is quite high for the barrister, I believe there's heavy pressure on the barrister to unit the coffee to sub par levels and hope your dreary minded office workers don't tell the difference in quality, I've had coffees that were absolute bin juice warmed up quality. I've come here a lot, and it is just unreliable at best.
The foods ok, not a whole lot to say about it apart from the occasional sandwich that has old ingredients, it's not enough to carry your wallet in for food by itself and combined with a shoddy coffee makes choosing going elsewhere the viable option. I'd shoot this review up to 4.5 stars if they had a decent barrister that tastes their coffee who's unhampered by suspected cost cutting management.
