Standard cafe menu with the addition of Nepalese momo (dumplings) and they were probably the best I've had in Sydney - slightly chewy case, good curried veg taste and a great chilli sauce. With 8 momo and a salad, the $15 price might be ok. Coffee also pretty good - rich and syrupy. It was quite hot inside though.
Nice, open-plan cafe. Great for studying as there is ample space and not too crowdy or noisy. The chicken momos were delicious, although i was expecting it to be in a soup. The side salad was super fresh and crunchy.
Went here for lunch with husband and dogs. Husband n I both got the end of king burger. Good burger!! Could have used some cheese n bacon but still good. Got a dog friendly table(one of two). I had been here for breakfast n got the smoke stack. Can’t improve on perfection!!!! Burger was a bit expensive but the smoke stack was well worth it’s money! Def be back!!!
Came here not expecting much as their menu didn’t seem to have many vegan options.. however, they did seem to have an updated menu in store! It included a vegan breakfast which had sautéed mushrooms, tomato, eggplant ‘bacon’ (like burnt eggplant to be honest), scrambled tofu, potato cake, and toast with almond butter. It was actually a great meal and very flavoursome, something different :) It did seem a little oily and it was... $17.90 so a little pricey but, that’s reasonable for the entire area (and around Sydney in general haha).
Also tried a soy latte which was surprisingly good. Not too strong but not too weak!
I sat inside at the very back which was great. It was peaceful and I could study well! The place wasn’t cramped, they had free wifi and there were no disturbances. Staff were efficient and did their job, would have liked a little more enthusiasm but, that’s no problem!! They were still friendly :)
Will be back! Please create more vegan options! :)
This venue, located close to St Peters station, has been the home of a few different businesses in the time we’ve lived in Sydney. I’m not sure how long The End of King has been here but it sure gets good reviews. I gotta be honest and say that, besides the reviews, we came for the free wifi. Fortunately, food, drinks and service were great.
How on earth can you go wromg with a mix of skewers featuring all proteins with your coffee. This is actually on the St Peters aide of King street so plan youre travel accordingly if youre training it in....
Lovely breakfast. Great menu for vegetarians. Food is simple but flavorous. Lovely strong coffee, had two, both good. Strong latte complimented our morning.
Basic and simple brekky. The food quality is standard... You can make it at home with ease. This isn't a bad thing as too many cafes are trying too hard to be different these days.
Coffee and chai is good. The smokestack and shakshuka are brilliant. Having the lamb in the shakshuka is a nice touch. One of my favourite places for breakfast in this part of Newtown.
This is our preferred local hangout for family brunch. Staff are friendly and obliging, and the food is interesting and full of flavour; really good value and I think better quality than many other hipster joints down the road. Coffee is one of the best on South King, but like most places, sometimes a little inconsistent. Oh, and they make a mean babycino!
I visit frequently, the food is consistently good. Servings are generous and prices are reasonable. The coffee is great and friendly staff. Always a winner
Devoured that. First visit was last weekend for breakfast and it was delicious. I tried sourdough toast with a side of hash browns, servings were very generous and everything was perfect. The coffee was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Very impressed
The aloo chop! is bound to kick-start the tastebuds. Two small spiced potato cakes, fried eggs dusted in mild paprika and some roti and spiced chickpeas.
This is my place to go now for breakfast!. I absolutely love this place! It does not look anything special and 'hipster-to-your-face' like many yelled about places in Sydney. But don't be deceived by the simple interior - the food is amazing. The chef and the owner, who is Nepalese by origin, uses his knowledge of the Eastern cuisine to transform the well-known and boring Australian breakfast items, like avocado smash, eggs on toast and omelette. His food is full of Eastern flavour, but still perfectly familiar. This is a great spot that deserves attention! Just the way I love, not flashy with the great essence!
A bit of an unexpected gem on the south of king street. Great food, and great coffee.
Corn fritters were amazing. Halloumi was cooked perfectly. Nice vibe inside, chill music. Mixed berry smoothie was delicious. Would come back.
Great sandwiches & fast service. Good space for couples & large to small groups. The chicken sandwich was amazing!
Only came for breakfast but definitely good!! Came with two of my girlfriend's on a Sunday morning. We were there rather early and by the time we left the place was crowded and loud so pretty happy we went early. Food was definitely good and so was service and coffee. Will totally come back 😁✔
Must try their Chorizo Stack! One of my favourite breakfast restaurant in Newtown. Service was excellent and food was so delicious!
Very good coffee and nice good quality food menu to choose from. Very courteous service.
This cafe is further proof that some of Newtown's best brunch spots are down the Southside of King Street. Friendly service and great breakfast menu. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the coffee is great. Also, it's refreshing to be able to sit on king street and watch the hustle and bustle of the day pass by
Friendly staff, nice food and comfortable seating. Stopped for a milkshake and pear and raspberry bread with my son and the staff were very accommodating.
