If you want something healthy, this is the place to go! it’s one of the most healthiest options found inside the Gateway, albeit, there is not an extensive menu (particularly on the weekend). There were 4 salad choices to choose from, I ordered the pesto chicken salad ($14) which came with house made pesto, chicken, quinoa and grains, kale, carrot, lettuce and cashews. It was a tasty salad, not too oily from the pesto dressing.

Service was good and food was good. Pretty much sums up my entire experience here! I loved the sweet potato salad so much and the dressing was great, just that I think there was a little two much?? Anyways just being a bit picky, it was a great experience!

Good option for healthy eating if you are in the area but limited selection. Everything is packaged in plastic or takeaway even if you dine in the food court which is disappointing.
I had a tumeric latte which was not pleasant...not sure if it was their home made milk or the mix they use but was not a good combination. Was expecting better overall.
Lady serving was friendly and pleasant

Urban Orchard offers a healthy set of quality meal options, priced at a premium and served in a casual take-away environment.

The salad bowl and hot meal options at Urban Orchard offer a wide range of flavours that make for an exciting lunch option. The quality of the ingredients clearly stand out and the bowls include an interesting fusion of flavours and textures that makes the premium price point reasonable.

The lamb 'Beet' bowl is one of my favourite meals on the menu. (Ingredients: Slow roasted lamb shoulder, roast beetroot, berlotti beans, kale, baby spinach, roast tomato, apple cider vinegar dressing w/ black garlic & cashew "aioli")The dish brings out a fantastic set of textures and while the extremely tender lamb is the visually dominating element, the greens help cut through the rich lamb flavour and balances out the meal. Should you order this item, I would recommend getting a small piece of each ingredient in every bite to truly appreciate this dish. At $15.50 it's not a cheap meal and neither are the portions substantial. However, this is a wonderfully crafted dish and the high quality of the ingredients used is quite evident.

If you're looking for a healthy meal option and enjoy rich flavours, then please do give Urban Orchard a go. It's not the cheapest place to eat at but the staff are super friendly and the quality of the product offered is high, at least with the salad bowls and the hot dishes.

Vegan Coconut Curry (4/5) is the best dish I've tried here. You get a very generous serving of a creamy and perfectly seasoned coconut curry (that you won't even believe is vegan) topped with coconut flakes, Cashews, jalapeños (not chilli) and a side of sweet potatoes and brown rice. A hearty and delicious lunch!

I have had their sprouted avocado toast here (2/5) and unfortunately I wasn't a fan. The texture of the toast wasn't very enjoyable or filling and it was expensive for what it was.

The turmeric latte (3/5) here is ok but nothing amazing. A hint of coconut would be lovely!

The coconut cacao latte (4/5) this is more on the bitter side so don't expect it to taste like a hot chocolate but I loved it! The coconutty taste complemented it well and it's the perfect healthier hot choc alternative.

Mouth-watering food, friendly service, but eye-watering price.

Not really a surprise given the location, general "up market food court" vibe, and the organic/ethical sourcing; but anyone on a normal budget is going to notice. eg. the modest-sized sweet potato salad shoots up to nearly $20 if you add the suggested extras of chicken and avocado (and you get very modest amounts of them).

Quality ingredients do cost more, it just prices this out of being a daily option for locals.

Yummy food, great service! Very aware of their environmental impact and everything sourced from local suppliers! Highly recommend. Especially if you have a busy lifestyle and still want to eat healthily.

Really enjoy the variety of the menu and that everything is fresh and healthy. Hard to find a non chain that servers quality food in the go.

Stopped here for a sweet treat and drink to go. This outlet is in the Gateway food court.

I was interested to come here as they offer all sorts of healthier alternatives. I was served by a friendly lady. I went with a Raw Cacao & Coconut Hot Chocolate. She advised me that since it was cacao, it was not sweet so offered to have honey added to it. This drink is an acquired taste and since I like things a bit sweeter it wouldn't be something I would seek out. I had an Anzac Biscuit to go with my hot drink. This was more to my liking. Although not as sweet as a traditional one as made with spelt and coconut sugar, it has the texture I was looking for and quite enjoyable.

They also have their own extra seating so can retreat into there if the food court is full.

Love this cafe. Had a vegan coconut curry. Best curry I have tasted in Australia. Gotta love Bob Marley music playing too. Great food, well presented and excellent value, huge portion that would feed two for $11. Very pleased I chose here

Generous serving, healthy and good value for money. Very tasty but would have preferred quinoa instead of freekah.

Usually on Sunday it's pretty quite so there were just 2 people running the restaurant (one of them was the chef) but today it was super busy because of the Marathon so it took a bit longer to have the food. Despite of that, the Haloumi salad and the Turmeric latte we had were absolutely delicious and Indigo, the waitress was lovely and very professional, smiling all the time no matter the situation. I really recommend this place!

Where to start? The coconut curry is outstanding and it's hard to believe it's vegan. As a carnivore, I like to add the poached chicken and get extra chilies in there too. For the salads, my favourite has to be the Lentil and Haloumi salad which is just very very tasty and again, a very big portion. I do miss the old original Pork Belly Salad which was a cracker of a meal, but I got over that quickly enough when I tasted the Lamburger which is the best burger I've had in years. I'm not a healthy eater usually but for lunch Urban Orchard is a great option to have in the city. Get some of the desserts and treats in too while you're there, Raw Snickers bar for me.

Eaten here through mealpal orders only. The vegan coconut curry is delicious, but it could do with some more black beans to up the protein content. The salad I had via mealpal, was not great at all. Mainly leaves and I was still starving later in the day. So now I order the curry when it comes round on mealpal every so often, but avoid salad at all costs.
