Review Glebe Deli Cafe - Sydney

One of the poorest experiences in ages. Bitter coffee that was too hot. A croissant that was more of a bun and would cause any self respecting French baker to roll in their grave. To make matters worse served with margarine!! Omelette was ok.

This owner overcharges for simple meals and skimps on ingredients. His meals are very dry and the hummus was watered down and horrible. His service is terrible and we have tried to talk to him about it but he blamed the waitress and didn’t take any responsibility even though we were sitting at a table in front of him and both saw him take the food out of the display case. Also the new cafe is uncomfortable so we have stopped going there as there are other cafes with good service, good food and more reasonable prices. I would tell people to choose somewhere better.

Jan & I have been going to this Cafe together for near 2 years and we absolutely love the hospitality we receive every time from Joe & Sal. We are treated like family & it's a joy. The food is fabulous too and service of all other staff always friendly. Jan always also delights in seeing Joe & Sal's kids if they happen to be there. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. See you again soon.

Joe & Sal and their team make this place so comfortable and inviting. Great cafe with outdoor seating. Nice for Breakfast and lunch. Highly recommended

Joe and Sal’s café are my home away from home; Soups made with love, Kafta plates nourish the soul, staff treat you like family. Courtyard gazes onto Glebe Point Rd. Interior is comfy while I read a book. And the music adds a great atmosphere that invites me to extend my stay.

Really nice cafe. In a world of themed/fancy cafes, this one brings the authenticity of a friendly neighbourhood cafe. Food was delicious too.

Spectacular food and service! I had the vegetarian plate (which is vegan as well) and it was so yummy and my friend had the kafta plate. Everything superb and good price !

Great little local cafe. Ordered the bacon and egg on Turkish bread $8.50, asked how I prefer my egg and also if I wanted any tomato or bbq sauce (they also have HP sauce, my favourite!!) Also had a freshly mixed juice of orange, apple & carrot $6.50. Staff in this cafe are very friendly and accommodating. Everyone greeted with a hello when they walked in.

Decent coffee, and quiet atmosphere, however this atmosphere might be attributed to the rude staff who are anything but helpful. Staff are disrespectful and often get orders wrong, not understanding the importance of allergy requirements. Don't recommend going here, when compared to other coffee shops so close nearby. I work down the road and have gone 3 times, for the same thing to happen each time, Ill be walking the extra 10 steps to get my morning coffee with a smile and as I asked for it to be made.

Great coffee, fantastic Lebanese homemade food, lovely people!! Always cheerful even in busy times. Open after other coffee shops have closed for the afternoon.
