Located in Grosvenor place, this offers the same menu as the Barangaroo Ipoh Town and same price. $13 for nasi goren and $3 for ice tea. Not too cheap but decent.
Tasty and convenient for a quick lunch. Char Kway teow and hor fun noodles are good. Hainan chicken not so good.
I rate 3.7 for their laksa which quite decent quality. Laksa is the only thing that i order from this place; i have never tried other dishes. Laksa is a bit oily side but loved flavor of soup. Sad thing is that sometime there is less fat noodle which is my favorite, so if you like fat noodle more than vamacelli then I recommend you to ask a stuff for an extra fat noodle and less thin noodle.
I ordered chicken laksa for lunch. The portion is quite big. But the temperature of the soup could be a bit hotter.
With it's famous Laksa and Hainan Chicken Rice on the menu, there's no need for any further review on how good Ipoh is as a restaurant.
But unlike it's other shop at York Street which is always crowded during lunch, this shop here is the perfect place for a stress free lunch break. It's got enough (and comfortable) seats in a huge indoor food court.
This Malaysian restaurant has become one of my regular 'canteens' during workdays in the city. Tried a number of dishes and most of them are speedy and delicious. They have quite an ordering system and can manage lunch hour rush quite well although it does get a little stressful or loud when staff are calling out dishes or getting customers to come to their counter etc. The turnover is pretty quick and well managed. We can find a table within minutes.
They''re recently introduced deals (food + cold prepared drinks) that is quite attractive for office workers.
Note: they've announced that they will raise the cost due to rise of food cost. Will see how this will pane out as they have always been seen as the affordable and fast food outlet.
I always have Nasi Goreng at this place. Super delicious. They have variety of Dishes. It is basically a Malaysian Cuisine. Very fair prices considering the location in the city. The atmosphere of food court is world class as Grosvenor Place is one of the premium top notch building in Sydney. I highly recommend this place.
One of the best Laksas in town, and not in a usual dungeon. The skylights really make this place a good place to hang and eat a laksa. However, they have recently changed to all disposable cutlery and crockery. This I don't like so much
