Rangoli gives an interesting first impression as you head down into the basement, - rustic, modern and with a touch of spice in the air. We were not expecting a fine dining Indian experience.

The decors very nice for an Indian restaurant and clean. We went for the 12 dishes chefs tasting menu. The entrees and mains were pretty ordinary compared to the existing Indian restaurants. One of the best Naan I have never been at the heart of CBD. Delicious flavoursome curry with the naan which was crispy on the bottom and super fluffy at the same time. Get their chili garlic naan!
@ rangoli and sharing the experience. I'd say one of the worst experiences in Sydney. It seems like a crime to charge 12 bucks for 3 Puri and that too not tasty. The malai kofta was equally disastrous and tastes more like chaat. The service is slow that I wonder on a busy day many would wait hungry

What a great modern Indian restaurant tucked away in York Street. I would have never known this amazing place existed if it wasn't for Groupon. Highly recommend the food. The deco and presentation was fine dinning but table service could have been better. A bit more professional for the type of rest
Went last night for 2 people groupon deals. It was an impressive experience. Once I walked in and I was warmly welcomed by the staffs. It was stunning place hidden in a building.
