Was just here last Friday with my partner, and my experience here was quite nice.
The ambiance is very dim and intimate, plus their taste is music is awesome.
The bartender makes a pretty mean old fashioned, and if you want an exciting night i suggest you try one of their absinthe cocktails
Man I’m pretty impressed with Low 302’s Sunday roast special. $20 for a whole roast chicken, coleslaw, roast veggies and gravy! Are you kidding me?! So good. Not $20 each, but for 4 peaople! I didn’t actually consider this place for food until a friend introduced me and now I’m telling everyone. We also had the curly fries and they were amazing. Staff are friendly and the vibe is chill and dim. A winner!
We've all been there. It's been a busy day full of meetings, and of course, just as you're excited to get home or grab something to eat, you realise you have that evening meeting that always runs overtime. And the meeting starts at 7:30! So you contemplate to yourself, 'do I grab a quick bite to eat? It'd be such an early time to eat dinner, because 7:30 is really an ideal time to order or serve dinner. Earlier than that is just too early. I guess I have to, because this is sydney, and nothing serves dinner after 8pm (thanks Casino Mike Baird & Barry O'Farrell).' But then you realise, hang on, there's a place, a haven some might call it, which serves dinners till 2am. And more than that, it has a range of $10 dinners, plentiful in serving size, great tasting, a fine range of craft brews and fine wines, even some wonderful cheese for after-dinner. So your night is saved. Low302, that's what I'm talking about.
"Hey where's the best place in Sydney?"
"Why Low 302 of course""LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW"
There's nothing Low about Low.
Great place. Always there for you. Caring owners. Loving bartenders. Sometimes the steak is a bit undercooked but all you need to do is ask for it to be heated up a little bit more. Great Malbec wine. Fantastic cheese platters. The schnitzel works. I'm never more satisfied than after a visit to Low. I love a wholesome life, and I owe everything to Low. Thank you.
Love this place.
Most chilled out, comfortable diner in the area - perfect lighting, music, live entertainment and cushy seats.
$10 meals are a steal and kitchen is open super late.
Usual pub style food (shniddies n chips, burgers, crochettes, mixed BBQ grill - plus some more up-market options; tender minted lamb rack, seared salmon steaks etc.
Cocktail list is pretty alluring but each time I've been here the cocktails have a offputtingly unbalanced recipes (watery espresso martinis, sour intense fruity drinks, really syrupy dry drinks - perhaps they need to reevaluate their recipe book).
Regardless,Gonna keep this place as a regular favourite and drink the beer/wine.
I stumbled upon this place by chance one late Thursday evening with a friend, we were just walking along Crown St to find a good place for drinks and a cheap chow-down - this place fit the bill perfectly. It's an awesome setting inside, Low 302 is very low-lit just with candles lighting up the room.. And the seats were so comfy with cushy cushions.. We stayed here for a good few hours!
The menu is very well priced as well - they have $10 dinner specials (we both ordered the Schnitzel & chips) and alongside that we had a delicious cheese board & loads of red wine. Next time I come here I'll try out one of their higher priced main meals, just to give it a go. This place was awesome, I'll definitely be back!

Love the ambience of the place. Great grand piano table top concept. Only had the $10 steak, asked for medium rare and came perfect. The house wine was pretty good too. Will definitely be back for the food.
An example of a small bar that does everything right. When you rock up, the first thing you will notice is the open verandah facing onto Crown Street and inviting couches.
strong and delicious cocktails, generous cheese platters and otherwise great food menu

What do they eat in The Black Lodge, Agent Cooper? Head Cheese ($15) ! Let’s rock! “ I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange. ” Spiralling into Twin Peaks flashbacks in this red-draped room just enhances your late night (2am kitchen) dining experience. Alcohol helps; starting with a Chameleon ($16) throw-down of smoky mezcal, all-spice dram, lime and ginger beer. By the time our porcine head parts arrive, we’ve progressed to beer. A sweet, toffee Yo-Ho Yona Yona Ale ($9) suits the flavoursome pig, presented rather discretely as slices of terrine on a board bearing pickles and crusty bread rolls. An oozing wheel of Tomino cheese crowning mushroom fricassee – the Low Petite Fondue ($13) - hits you straight in the pleasure centre. The music grinds down a notch to Lead Belly’s swampy Louisiana blues as our 5-hour Beef Brisket ($18) lands. Sinking into a reverie of tender beef strands and chunky home-style

My favourite type of nightspots are the ones that have delectable cocktails and mouthwatering menus. It has to have both and not just one without the other. Tapas and cocktails I love Low 302 'cause not only does it satisfy my ' favourite nightspot ' crit
One of my favourite bars in Sydney!. Drink here regularly. Cocktails are always spot on and the staff are knowledgeable. Food also quite tasty. Package this up in a cool vibe and you have a great bar!
Just finished another meal and night out at my local Low. The bar was pumping as per usual and up to its high standards of drinks and service. We haven't dined here for a while and with friends we decide to have dinner, wow the chef was having a good night, everything fast and perfect! Not to say in the past it was poor, but the cuisine had a little magic in it tonight and at such a good value price. See you soon low!
Always a good place to go.. There is something I really like about Low 302. Its conducive to having a good talk with the people around you. I always leave that place meeting fun people (and even some pretty hot girls...) The food is great, the staff is great and I like being in the outdoor area (although I wish it was non-smoking) Who wants to be cooped up indoors? Go and enjoy a relaxing night.
Great food good place to eat pre going out Oxford St or Surry Hills.
Nice decor nice staff
Nice venue. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Swordfish took a while to arrive but it was delicious when it did.
Sydney Sunday Roast - Succulent !!. I visited this place after hearing they do a Sunday roast. We arrived to find its a whole roasted chicken with roasted veg, coleslaw and thankfully the most important part of a roast - Gravy !! Oh and the mind blowing part was it cost $20 for the whole thing and it was carved at our table on a trolley - what a fun and different experience to most other sydney venues. We couldn't believe how moist and tasty it was. We can't wait to bring a larger group of friends and enjoy our next sunday roast !!! The staff their also really made our night as they were so friendly, professional and really interactive with us. Thumbs up !!
Great Food & Service. I visited Low 302 with a few friends a few nights ago and was totally amazed we could have delicious, well cooked food of such quality but yet also at a great price - wow!! The most succulent pork belly was enjoyed as was some extremely tasty buffalo wings done in what we asked was a 5 different chillies sauce (Mexican chef) these were mouthwateringly devine. We enjoyed potted mackerel with a spiced chilli butter this was moist and full of flavour...other than the food we enjoyed the service that we encounted from the floor, it was so refreshing to see in Sydney!!! To be told to sit and relax and you will be looked after was nothing further than the truth. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a great night out in Sydney...Can't wait to our next visit
Awesome food, very accommodating. We came in late with a big group and was no trouble. Everyone loved their meal and service was fantastic and excellent value.
Great spot.. The bar staff are awesome and the food and beers are killer! Will be back many a time
Paradise. I loved my experience at Low 302, it was a last minute decision and needed a nice place for dinner for 10 people. They were able to seat my party in a little private corner with candles and giant wooden chairs. Very rustic.
The food was not only delicious and with a gourmet feel its decently priced! The portions look small but very filling.
The service was friendly and very polite. I ordered the wagyu beef and friend had the pork belly. BOTH DELICIOUS
Definitely a new favourite little paradise.
I love this place. The food is always so amazing, was my third visit in a month yesterday. Handsdown best tempura broccoli in Sydney. Staff are helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend as a good spot for a get together and will definitely be dropping in on that place again.
Good vibe, awesome awesome food, ace cocktails. Great place to dine the taste buds on some good food, lounge and have some drinks. Little taste of downtown NYC in Sydney.
Great food and atmosphere. I have been hearing great things about the chef and tapas menu at Low 302 on Crown St so last night I decided to take a friend there and try it out for myself. I love Low 302 but must admit I haven't eaten there before, always opting for one of their yummy cocktails instead. After ordering a cocktail (I couldn't resist) I read the menu and ordered us what could only be described as a small feast. Every plate was described deliciously. When the food arrived it was presented beautifully and tasted even better! We were really very impressed and can't wait to get back there for round 2. I would definitely recommend going to Low 302 for dinner. The tapas share plates are just the right size and price and the flavours are sensational. Enjoy!!
First Impressions. First visit to Low 302. Great funky atmosphere, good cocktails and passable food. The cocktails took a while to make, but it wasn't a problem as it was a fairly quiet night. The music appeared to be on a loop, but that was only noticed because someone's favourite song was on the playlist. Food was fairly quick to arrive, and well presented, but nothing to write home about. Service was generally unobtrusive and staff friendliness not a problem.
Good spot. Lively, fun, good food and great cocktails. More of a bar than a restaurant, so don't go expecting a relaxing meal. This is a fun spot to catch up with friends, drink and eat lovely tapas.
Atmosphere excellent, great service, nice range of cocktails. The food itself was disappointing, trying a little too hard, costing a little too much, and without a strong range of tapas favourites.
Outstanding burlesque entertainment. Classy acts. Great night out and performance is once a month so get tickets to attend. Retro music to boogie along too as well.
Really cool bar, and the drinks are fabulous highly recommend especially on weekdays irs not hugely busy so you can enjoy the wide range of cocktails or if nothing takes your fancy ask barman to suprise you.
Update (September 2017):
The $10 mains are no longer on the menu, but if you ask for the specific main ($10 steak or $10 schnitty) they’ll know that you’re an old regular, and give it to you. The steak is still good as ever!
Original post:
Favorite place for a solid, no-frills steak. And an absolute bargain- $10! They take reservations as late as 30 mins before, and they have good and quick service. It's a good place to start the night :)
I'd recommend the New York Strip, served on a bed of fries and salad. The mushroom butter sauce is AMAZING.
"Remember when" is a lament of the aged and irrelevant. If that bothers you, go away and watch your "really important" drama series in bed. However, if you miss round midnight, harbourside brasserie, 505's open nights or that place that used to stay open with good food and music til late, then read on...well not much, coz I'm just about done.
The place feels right for tunes and shows, and the food looks the goods, though I'm yet to have the pleasure. The owner not only cares, but knows how to care. She's as motivated and professional as you'd wish; just be glad her intentions are good and not evil...coz she's awesome at whatever she does.
Awesome place! The Late Night Buffet show was so much fun! Service was exceptional. We will be back!
I recently threw a surprise party at low 302 and it was the perfect venue for our party. All the staff were so lovely especially Melanie who went above and beyond for us to make sure everything went smoothly. The music and cocktails were great and everyone had a really good time. Thank you so much!
Absolutely fabulous. We went to see Jesse Redwing and had the best time ever. The place is small so get there early to get a good seat. There's food as well as drinks.
Great atmosphere and live music! Go, you'll have a great night.
