Can't think why don't give them 5 marks.
A really a small diner just next to Coles, but it seems that they have a full range of Thai food. You can have two choices of casual home Thai dishes with rice, and that is really filling. Waitresses are really friendly and generous.
Chicken minces and garlic fried fish are really tasty and only cost you $8.9(cash only under $10). Next time, I am going to try Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao, lol.
The selling point is GENEROUS! I never expect that they can offer customers in such huge quantity!!! full plate! (See picture), even though I ask them to give me less rice and meat.
Decent value for a low price. Taste is good, portions are big. Don't make mistake of ordering something that doesn't sound 'thai' to you, literally - anything that cost more than 13$. Once I made a mistake of ordering their deep fry fish for 16.90. It was the most horrible thing I have ever eaten. But in general a real good place for lunch.
Items of choice:
- Cashew Sauce Noodles
- Pad Thai
- Pad Sew Ew
- Tom Yam
Can't believe that this place has not been reviewed. A very decent Thai restaurant. May not have the attractive and trendy decor that most Thai restaurants tend to spot now, but go there for some solid Thai food. Me and my partner are regular customers there for over a year. We have tried different dishes over time and always leave with a satisfied stomach.
Recommend the Spicy Fried Rice and Minced Chicked with Eggplant.
My partner and I bought some take- away food from Jumbo Thai tonight.
We choose this place because of the good reviews we read on google and I can confirm this place was worth it.
The food took only 5 mins to be ready, I ordered the mild vegetable curry with rice and my partner had spring rolls and chicken noodles. All of the dishes were delicious, the price was very affordable and the portions were big.
Well done guys! Thank you
Got the satay stir fried rice and enjoyed it. Good value and a nice spot for takeaway lunch if you work nearby. Service was slow and took some time to get the food, lot of others waiting around too.
Quick service, tasty food, affordable and clean shop. What's there not to like about this place.
That do make a mean vegie tofu Pad see we. Good portion to add to the it. Well done. Il be back
Great Tom Yum soup and curry. A small family run place with authentic and delicious food in big portions at a GREAT price. It looks like they are recent immigrants - give them your support! Despite the mall-like location (enter Coles at the Edward St entrance and head to behind the escalators) the food is top notch.
Had the Phuket curry, the other place in Haymarket (which unfortunately has closed down) did a better version.
The curry was too runny with very little flavour. Chicken itself was nice.
Situated downstairs tucked away in the corner near where the other eateries are on the same level as where the Coles is opposite the Star.
Fantastic hidden place, especially when it gets crowded at the darling harbour and you need tasty food (without the harbour view). Try this place.
Tou may not be able to spot, if you do not know about the place or if not using google maps.
Great Thai food - generous portions at a reasonable price. So tasty, definitely have found my new local!
Stopped here for dinner the other night and the food was good and service fast. Only small criticism is that their tables are so small and their plates are so big that it’s difficult to have even two people eat at the same table.
