I appreciate a breakfast deal, so $13 for a bacon and egg roll and a coffee seemed pretty fair. It was a decent breakfast: nothing special, nothing terrible. The bacon was crispy. We found our coffees had a slightly bitter edge but also: not terrible. Husband wasn't enthusiastic about his Middle Eastern breakfast, and when I tried his falafel it was dry and not crisp. I'd recommend going with the bacon and egg roll instead! Or the Croque Monsieur stand in the middle of the courtyard.

I came to notice this Organic bakery on my way to 5th earl in Rosebery. Grain Bakery baked their breads daily on site and you can literally smell the goodness coming out from that place. I always came here to get their croissant cause for me the best croissant is when its flaky and buttery on the outside and chewy and layered perfectly inside. And I'm so glad to announce that I've met my perfect croissant here in Sydney after going through heaps of bakery and cafe in search for the best croissant similar to Agathe in Melbourne.

Got two croissants for Mr20 and his gf which look and feel super flakey and buttery.
Like everything in this complex, a great industrial setting with high ceilings and refreshing breeze through the seating area.
Friendly staff and funky music set the tone for an easy to read and tasty menu.
I got the Vietnamese poached chicken salad with a banana and date smoothie on a 40 degree day and it was perfect. Zingy, sweet Vietnamese dressing with succulent slivers of poached chicken perfect for a sizzling hot day.
Wouldn't mind trying the chicken, celery and walnut sanga next time - it looked tiptop.
Headed to Saporium for their Block Party and started the day with a skim latte. Wait was a little while for a Takeaway, but 11am was a peak time for the center as it all kicked off. Nice drink, not the best in the world though.
This is by far the best bakery in Rosebery, although it does not really specialise in cakes it's pastries are yummy and their pies are delicious!!
To me this place has by far the best coffee and baked goods in Rosebery!

Really good selection of bakery treats with interesting twists like tarts infused with mandarin or lavender. The salted caramel chocolate tart is my favorite and the coffee is worth coming for too.
This small bakery is a surprising delight! I loved the quirky use of toy animals rather than traditional table numbers. The menu is small but the dishes were great. He staff are switched on and clearly love working there. Big thumbs up from me!

Grain is a bakery first and foremost, producing a wide variety of lovely sourdough and seeded bread varieties on the premises.
But it’s important to also realise that this is a café too, with a great menu and a lot of quirky recycled furnishings giving the whole place huge charm and appeal.
It may be a bit hard to find as there is no signage allowed on the building but it’s definitely worth making the effort to find this great place.
The décor is really delightful and certainly interesting, with a row of old cinema seats down one side and both modern and antique furniture living happily together.
The large window, which shows part of the bakery workings, is a nice feature.
Love the grain, hidden gem of Rosebery with awesome breads , pastries and a Rubén to die for..... Love the leather school boy chairs however the made me feel like I was off too the principals office again... Def worth a look if you enjoy real bread executed excellently
Located in between Choc Pot and the 5th Earl is where you will find this hidden gem.
A bakery that also serves brekkie, sangas & salads. I got the Roasted Broccolini, Zucchini, Soy Beans, Pomegranate Dressing. Don't be fooled by the name, this salad creation is just devine! Everything on the menu sounds delicious.
Also the Strawberry Basil Brûlée is a must!!!! It's up their with the Strawberry Watermelon Cake 😉

A hidden gem in Rosebery serving organic bread! Went here for a lunch and started with their Prosciutto Twist. Who doesn't love prosciutto especially when it's light and served crispy with tomato chutney on the side.
I really love their housemade sourdough bread! It's so soft and fluffy and just a perfect base for their hot-smoked salmon dish. Served with perfectly poached egg, leek, labne and zataar - this dish is when the usual eastern brunch menu meets the middle eastern taste.
Their Beef Brisket Sandwich is another way to enjoy their superb bread! The brisket is so tender and it tastes like kebab meat somehow with all the seasonings. For me personally, I don't find it goes well with the sauerkraut and I'll ask them to toast it the next time we come for their sandwiches
My favorite dish is their Roast Brocollini Salad! It's so pretty and colorful! Served with zucchini slices, soy beans and pomegranate dressing, I finished the whole plate easily as it's so light, tasty and definitely healthy.
Went here on a friends recommendation and this hidden gem did not disappoint.
The bread is amazing, the decor looks like something out of an interior design magazine, the staff are lovely and the window running through the cafe allowing clients the sneaky peek at the bread being made is a people watchers dream (I was in heaven). Lovely coffee and the smashed avocado with eggs for brekkie went down a treat.

Grain Organic Bakery started off as an artisan bakery supplying baked goods to quality restaurants across Sydney. Since late last year, they've expanded to include a cafe for retail trade and we were invited to pop by to sample some items from their menu. For me, there's nothing greater than being able to enjoy a leisurely brunch out with loved ones.
Just had late breakfast , poached eggs and smoked salmon. Beautiful. The coffee was great . Followed a lemon curd tart which is made there . Was a good experience
Popped out for an Australia Day drive and found this place in Rosebery. Fairly new in an old factory precinct. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Great coffee. We usually go to a popular roaster nearby but this certainly compares. Ate smashed avo and soft boiled eggs on rye which was delicious and garnished with pistachio. Although I'd probably prefer my eggs warm. Hubby had poached eggs with smoked salmon. I'm sure they'll develop a steady following.
I heard on the grapevine that Grain supplies bread to some of the best restaurants in Sydney, so being a bread-lover, I had to check this place out. Cute and endearing are probably the best words to describe Grain. The staff are really attentive and you can see how they produce the bread via a window that leads into the bakery section.
Food ordered: smashed avocado (this is now my favourite breakfast meal, ever. The bread & feta make this dish), bacon and egg on the brioche was delicious, and the eggs with salmon, fantastic. The tarts were amazing (salted caramel the best, a close second was the pear one.) Coffee is excellent.
Mum asked me to pick up two loaves of bread on the way to hers but only one made it. I just couldn't resist. The bread is that good.
Spending morning at Grain Bakery in Rosebery made my day. I would not want to be anywhere else. The atmosphere is magical, sipping my coffee while enjoying Piano Man by Billy Joel reminded me of 80s. What else could you wish for on a Saturday morning after long week at work?
The friendly staff and their hospitality makes you feel at home. The Barister with funky hair and a big smile makes your coffee, the taste you will never forget. The waiter girl with an elephant tattoo spreads her happiness across the room and sets the mood for the rest of the day.
Great food summarises the pleasant time and reminds why you have come in to begin with :)

After a long holiday in Malaysia, we were excited to return to the classic cafe culture of Sydney, and ventured to Grain Organic Bakery in Rosebery for a delicious breakfast! We began the morningwith a Banana, Chia, Almond, Yoghurt and Almond Milk smoothie, which we found quite filling and not too sweet. There’s an art to making healthy smoothies taste delicious, and Grain has achieved this perfectly, with another variety, the Super Green, also available. We then ordered three breakfast items to share between us – the ham and cheese croissant, the Smashed Avocado, Persian Fetta, Soft Boiled Eggs, Pistachio and Basil on toast and the Poached Eggs, Hot Smoked Salmon, Ginger, Leek, Labne and Zaatar on toast.
The first of many to break out from this newly built precinct in Alexandria... and what a great job they've done. Walking into the modern décor filled surrounds you are greeted by the aroma of fresh bread and greeted by the friendly pleasant staff. Great range on the menu and quality service of coffee to accompany it, I opted for the bacon, avocado with tomato relish in a fresh baked brioche bun - filling yet delicious! A great location to introduce to your family and friends... don't miss out!
Delicious Food and wonderful customer service. This organic bakery is located in a new upcoming eating precinct in Alexandria and its definitely a great place to go for a coffee and a bite to eat. The beans are Cabrito and the bread is organic and baked fresh daily. The menu is simple and easy but definitely more intricate than any other bakery ive been to. I highly recommend the Reuben Sandwich and the Porchetta on Schiciatta. All the meats are cooked in house to perfection and you will leave satisfied and content.
A great little bakery in an up and coming area which sees a lot of trendy cafes and restaurants popping up. Friendly staff, a nice spacious area and some really good food. The porchetta sandwich was the highlight for me, along with the proscuitto twist. So tasty. The coffee was quite good too. Cabrito beans.
