Nice little cafe that serves delicious food with some Japanese influence. Will come back to try other dishes. The caramel french toast used an interesting flakier type of bread than normal — I really enjoyed it, as well as the other components of the dish such as ice cream (great for a hot morning) and granola. Boyfriend had the piggy benny, I thought that was nice as well, especially the brioche bread.
Unique cutlery!
This is a really cute cafe on Kensington street! The omelette I tried was tasty and fluffy. I also had the Hojicha French Toast which was topped with fairy floss and taro ice cream. The thing I liked most about this dish is that it was not too sweet. A lot of the time when I get French toast or pancakes I find it overwhelmingly sweet but this is just the right amount. Delicious food, I will definitely return!
Very nice coffee. Bitter iced matcha latte but I like it. The place is nice and quiet in the morning. Not like noise infested busy cafes. Price is a big higher than average. 🧸Xihuahua 🐶 made a good call finally🙄

Guorium🧪 was persuaded to order ice matcha 🍵 latte hahaha! It’s nice and authentic. My order was almond flat white - lovely coffee art and excellent taste!
Lovely place in the morning - quilt & windy
Such a good experience at this cafe today. Dined in with my mum, and was initially wary of the small size of this cafe, but gave it a try anyway because the menu looked so good. First of all, I ordered a weak/half-strength cappuccino (my usual coffee order) and it was one of the nicest cups of coffee I've had. The generous chocolate sprinkling on top and beautiful flavour to the coffee itself was perfect. For my meal, I had the breakfast burger, which was bigger than expected - but each element was so delicious. Fried egg, bacon, crispy hash browns, tomato relish, greens and cheese. Even crunchy prawn crackers on top! The staff were great too.
I also must mention their unique serving ware... the cups, plates and cutlery are unlike any other cafe I've visited and the pieces are stunning without sacrificing function. I couldn't recommend this place more. (If only they had more space and seating!)
It's a really nice small minimalistic cafe tucked away in Kensington street. We ordered the matcha affogato, pulled pork burger and the hojicha French toast. The affogato was amazing and so was the burger. The French toast, however, I wasn't a big fan of because they used sourdough as opposed to using the typical thick brioche toast. The sourdough was quite soggy as well. But other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the cafe experience here.
Personally I really like this menu. The sourdough was diffused perfectly and all those flavor just really kicking in one bite! The Thai milk tea was good but for me a bit too bland. . Matcha French Toast - $17. Matcha infused Sourdough, azuki bean & Matcha ice cream. Another infused Sourdough but this time it's matcha! The Sourdough was good and fluffy with a sweet drizzled condensed milk and azuki beans. The ice cream was not that sweet and it got a hint of bitterness.
I had my Ristretto yesterday from this place and my heart was pumping hard.
Usually I can handle this type of coffee when I am very tired, and not so many people can handle this liquid bad boy.
It's worth paying $3.50 for take away, I'll come back to try their brunch and of course their other specialty coffee.
Visited this place yesterday with the hubby. This small cafe on Kensington Street offers a good range of cafe food. A cafe with an Asian twist is always welcome in my books. This quaint cafe has an indoor and outdoor sitting while also extending its seats to the Spice Alley seat allocation. This cafe was cute and cozy, the staff were friendly, we sat at the back where we were exposed to sunlight which was nice. We ordered the big breakfast, some components of it was nice like the toast, egg, ham and tomato, I just didn't like the idea of half my plate being filled with salad for a 'Big Breakfast', this could be their own twist on it, I guess I just expected typical breakfast food like hash browns and mushrooms. The Thai milk tea waffle was absolutely amazing with it's Thai milk tea ice cream, went beautiful well together and the pure organic matcha drink was well made as it should taste.
Matcha Latte was to die for. Top notch customer service. Located in the inner city area of Kensington Street. This cafe joins the ranks of the top restuarants in that area! love!
A small but lovely Asian fusion cafe located in the food haven that is Kensington Street. Ordered the ginger chicken and prawn burger, Thai milk tea French toast and Glider brekky noodles with duck. Everything was really good! For drinks, I ordered the black sesame smoothie which was thick and delicious and I actually recommend sharing this with a friend. I will be back to try more of the menu!!
Great coffee hangout spot near UTS. They do cold crew on tap, which is quite fun. Very friendly and chill staff. Coffee is great! Would love to try their food in the future :)

Although it was forecasted to thunderstorm that day, my friends and I enjoyed a peaceful and delicious brunch together at Glider Cafe.
For drinks, we tried the Matcha Affogato and Avocado, Almond, Banana, and Almond Milk Smoothie.
Food-wise, we chose the Brekky Noodles with Duck, and the Korean Pork Belly Burger with Kimchi Coleslaw.
The taste of everything that we ordered (drinks & food) were decadent and unique, and the prices were reasonable for a small but chic city cafe. I had read previous reviews before visiting this establishment, all having commented on the cute cutlery - I'd be lying if I didn't agree with them; they were beautiful indeed! The young gentleman who took our order was very friendly and attentive, as were the rest of the cafe staff.
We helped ourself to a front porch seat, but you should note that there's quite limited seating inside the actual cafe. You could try to compete with other restaurant go-ers for seats in the back courtyard where there are several other "hawker" style fast food restaurants, however, it seemed a bit stuffy for our liking. The porch seat was perfect - airy and roomy - for the three of us.
I definitely will be back here again soon for Round 2!
One of my favourite places for coffee in Sydney. I drive for a job - buy coffee everyday all over CBD , Surry Hills and eastern beaches....this place is in my top 3 places for coffee. Superb.

This place is awesome! After reading some of the reviews on here I really wanted to try this place. Service is so personable and friendly. Very welcoming on arrival. You order and pay at the counter and they bring you the food and drinks. I love eating duck so really wanted to try the Gliders Duck Brekky Noodles. This lived up to the hype. So many pieces of delicious duck intertwined with the vermicelli noodles. For a stir fry this was not dry at all and very flavoursome. I had an Iced Coffee to go with it. Served black the waitress saw me spooning heaps of sugar in it (don't usually drink black coffee) and kindly brought me a jug of milk. Impressed with my noodles I decided I wanted to try something else off the menu. I had the Coconut/Pandan Sticky Rice With Berries. On the menu it stated mango and berries but mango was out of season so only berries. The waitress told me this dish was fantastic and she was so right. Didn't miss the mango as really delicious combination of the rice and berries with hints of coconut. I had a Glider Affogato to go with this and also an Iced Chai to take away. I really like the crockery and cutlery a lot too. The cups that the coffees are served in look awesome. Overall so glad to have tried this place and highly recommend this cafe. Spice Alley looks interesting too.
Very nice atmosphere that is very slick and fresh and quite relaxing. The coffee here is Single origin roasters and its very nice. I love the kitchenware they use here. Customer service is very attentive.
Glider KS is the sister store to the original Glider Cafe in Potts Point. The KS stands for Kensington Street – the newly renovated lifestyle precinct where you will find the cafe nestled in one of the vibrant laneways. You’ll find a Thai infused breakfast and lunch menu here, I took the waiter’s recommendation and picked the Ginger Chicken Burger with a Thai Style Fried Egg. The burger has a decent sized chicken patty that’s filled with rice vermicelli, crispy fried egg and lettuce served on a soft bun.

This is a place that has a great decor, alongside with great service and excellent coffee! I have received consistent flavours and creamy textures in the coffees i have ordered here. This is by far my favourite spot for coffees in Sydney. 👌
Happy New Year everyone!!! 2015 was an extremely busy year, hence the lack of blog posts (sorry!!) but I'm alive from the nightmare of uni projects and I aim to be posting a lot more this year! Less classes = more time for food adventures! :). My friend and I both discovered Glider KS at the same time through Instagram and we were both drawn to their beautiful ceramic cups and plates! As a design student, I am instantly drawn to anything that looks aesthetically pleasing. Glider KS is located among the new transformed Kensington St, Chippendale. It is located within the Spice Alley lane way just off Central Park. I was so amazed by the complete transformation of this little area and I can see it growing to be a hot spot for great eateries.
Fab. This little café ticks all my boxes - super good coffee, great food, lovely people and gorgeous design. I had a Thai omelette with chili, which was really tasty and perfectly cooked. Will be back here at the earliest opportunity :)
Chippendale is getting livelier by the day, thanks to a swathe of new additions in Kensington street. Glider KS is one of these new spots, a great little cafe with a Thai inspired brunch menu. The staff here are absolutely lovely too. The coffee is from Single Origin Roasters and is excellent. How gorgeous is the cup and spoon?
This place was an awesome surprise I stumbled across while on my lunch break. The staff were friendly and I really loved the every-detail-considered fit out. The coffee was great too. I'm not sure I have any negative feedback.
One of my friend who is really good into nice food/coffee, he took me Glider on weekend. I thought it's a little cute house but cafe. It's located just right next to Central Park, in small china town! You'll find good chinese food aroud this area. So glad I'm able to know this small town as nothing information on Japanese guide book yet because it's quite new?

I have long been a fan of Glider in Potts Point and to see that the team have opened a fantastic new location in Kensington Street makes me even more excited! My fav is the Ginger Chicken Burger and followed by that is everything else... along with friendly service, delicious coffee and a cool laid back atmosphere, you can't beat Glider KS for a hidden gem in Sydney.
Located on the recently revamped Kensington Street, Glider KS is enjoying a tonne of foot traffic. You’ve got folks visiting Spice Alley, amigos ducking in after visiting Central Park and young witches and wizards accidentally finding it after emerging from Diagon Alley.
You know what else Glider has in touch with the world of Harry Potter? Magic in the form of their Thai influenced cafe fare.

Chippendale is having a 'face-lift' with the addition of its new entertainment district, Kensington Street! The entire laneway is not fully operated now but it will soon be packed with shops, cafes, restaurants and the newly refurbished boutique hotel, The Old Clare, that will also include different dining experiences on site. Reynold Poernomo - MasterChef 2015 will also join Clayton Wells' Automata, Sam Miller's Silvereye with his new dessert bar that's set to open around mid-November offering fine-dining desserts at an affordable price. Chef Jason Atherton will also open his first Australian venue called Kensington Street Social that will soon become local hangout place as they open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Best, and I do mean best dam coffee in Sydney, Single O roasters. And the cups....hand made by an awesome Potter. And the food? Simply Top-Shelf. The owner, Mark, is a purist and has Minimalism nailed...
Nice compact, cozy cafe attached to spice alley which serves great coffee. If you eat in you always get some nice coffee art!
Staff are always friendly but have had a few times where they just seemed confused and lost orders, didn’t bring water/cutlery.
Menu changed once in the time I’ve been going so good to see some variety although I do miss the old menu!

Friendly staff and creative Thai/Asian fusion dishes (and interesting cutlery!). I like the matcha latte and hojicha latte served with honey on the side. Would like to try their coffee next time (the coffee looks nice and is very popular for those who needs a grab-and-go)
My favorite cafe with delicate & elegant present as well as good taste! The food style is mixture of Japanese, Thai and westerner food which is different from others. I liked the quality of Matcha greet tea, and roasted tea latte. I got shrimp crispy sandwich was nice, but it was too salty for me.
One of the best breakfast places in Sydney I reckon. From the little pallet coasters to the unique (albeit slightly uncomfortable to use) cutlery, the eye for detail is amazing. Coffee, food and servie are perfect as well!
Amazing food and such a nice and calm spot to have breakfast. People working there were super nice! Try if you come to Sydney and are looking for a special breakfast place!

Only suggestion is to replace the metal knife and forks ... they look good but are hard to hold and don't cut very well.
