Good cafe with great atmosphere, very chilled vibe.
The coffee is quite good with their beans by Will & co, not too acidic or bitter, very smooth. Served at the perfect temperature.
The food is also pretty good, with a decent size menu of breakfast/lunch options. The bacon and egg was generously sized with good amounts of bacon. However the eggs were a bit over cooked.
Overall great little spot.

Had the carrot cake and large flat white. It was awesome. For lunch the chicken Caesar salad is awesome with fresh ingredients and prepared so well with everything you want.
Coffee here is awesome and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.
Great location and plenty of on street parking if you do drive.

Great little breakfast spot, super friendly service, tasty food.

Great coffee and friendly service. Reminds me of a cafe from the early 2000s (in a good way!). Also, you get a cookie with your coffee, what's not to love?! :)

I’ve been going to Jones Street Cafe daily for the last 2 weeks, and it’s been consistently great coffee and great service.

Friendly staff. The scotch fillet was chewy. The green tea latte was bland.

Finally, a *very* generous slice of banana bread for a decent price!

One of the great things about being on the road for parts of the week are the mobile work spaces found like this little darling in Ultimo. There’s only a handful of places on this block as the main place people convene in this part of town is Broadway Sydney and Darling Harbour. This venue marks a central point between the two hubs.

Pretty good coffee I have to say. But if you’re vego the food is off limits. Everything has bacon in it. The eggs, the avocado, the coffee might have bacon in it as well. And don’t worry, if you ask to swap bacon out for something less expensive they charge more. Legends.

Love this place! Have been visiting regularly since June and the quality of the coffee and food has always been amazing. Service is always friendly and quick. Have tried both the breakfast and lunch menu, and there are always great options! Would definitely recommend :)
The Jonesy Sunset burger is delicious 👌🏼

Great little local cafe, great food. Try the spanish omelette. Yum. Have a look at the special on the black board, you are sure to find something to please.

Great coffee. Terrible service.
They change staff regularly and usually they are good but now they have a girl at the counter who never takes orders correctly. So if you ask her for a latte she will give you a soy latte and when you tell her that you asked for regular milk in your coffee she will look at you with a dumb look on her face and say 'thank you' and try to force you to take the coffee you didn't order. This happened four days in a row......

Jones Street Cafe is seemingly under new ownership, as there are always new faces every time we visit (which is often, as this is our local spot). They've got a new POS system for taking food and drink orders, which is great, except that no one knows how to use it aside from the woman that I am assuming is the owner. Either that, or the new employees really just don't know the menu (which is equally likely).

My flatmate and I recently went in for brunch. It was Saturday, but not super crowded. We ordered two coffees, the Spanish omelette and the burger special. As some of the other reviews have mentioned, the wait time for food is definitely slow, but we knew that already and weren't in a rush. While we waited, the server came over 3 times to try and deliver us coffees that were meant for other tables - keep in mind that there are only like 8 tables in the whole place! She was polite and ultimately was able to find the correct place for the coffees after shopping them around to a few other patrons. Then, the weirdest thing happened - our food arrived before our drinks! When we asked about the drinks, everyone seemed a bit confused and they couldn't remember what we had originally ordered. The server politely apologised for the confusion (saying something about the machine being 'down') and our coffees were quickly made and brought to our table. So much for the fancy new order taking system!

I've more recently noticed that they have started using table numbers so hopefully this will solve the 'which coffees go where' issue. (Although with the old servers they would just remember what you ordered and where you were sitting without any dramas - maybe it's just because it was the weekend?)

Anyway, apart from the inexperienced staff and the bizarre order taking, I have to say that the coffee continues to be excellent; some of the best around!!

The food, is also very good, but is at times quite inconsistent and seems to have gotten worse over the last 6 months or so. I've been coming to this cafe for almost three years, and as a bit of a creature of habit, I generally order either the Spanish omelette or the corn fritters.

The Omelette is meant to come with a side of the most delicious chilli mayo, but 2 out of the last 3 times I ordered it, no mayo! When I asked the server, she had no idea what I was talking about. Oh well. The omelette is just average without the mayo and often comes out a bit dry. Suggest to ask for avocado to be added as another element of flavour that goes nicely with the rest of it.

The corn fritters are also nice when they are done consistently, but lately have come out dry whilst other times can be soggy and greasy. Poached eggs in this dish are often well overcooked and not runny by the time the plate gets to the table.

Overall, the vibe of this cafe is still really chill and the location is great. As a loyal customer, I am going to give it a few more chances, but unless some of the service and food quality issues are sorted out soon, I'll be looking elsewhere for my weekend bunch fix. The excellent coffee brings my overall rating up from a 2 to a 3.

WHY ISNT THIS PLACE FAMOOOUUUSSSS!!! I went here and got their earl grey and a chicken burger. I straight up cried because holy crap the burger is delicious and their sauce is just super duper amazing!!! The atmosphere is also very good because it's open and there's a lot of windows! Very cute cafe that I have tried to go more to but the food just takes way too long to come out! Such a shame because the food really is delicious. Yesterday I met my mother for a coffee and I hadn't eaten breakfast yet so I ordered the avocado smash which came with a rasher of bacon, poached egg on sourdough, feta, tomato, a little dollop of pesto, fresh lemon and a sprig of mint. It looked beautiful when it came out but it took took long and I think it was waiting on being served too long because the egg and bacon weren't hot anymore. Never the less the meal was still a delight to eat with all the flavours complimenting each other. I do have to give Jones St cafe snaps for making one of the best almond milk lattes around, their coffee is heavenly!! I'll try to give them another go soon with their food but until then I'll just stick to ordering my almond lattes!!

Like the atmosphere here. Coffee is perfect here, they use the best jersey milk. Food are very fresh, my favourites are avocado smash, cheese burger and salad. Highky recommend!

Came to this place with my friend and service was lousy. Staff were too busy talking and joking amongst themselves to clear our tables.. Coffee was especially bitter for this type of bean (will & co). I won"t be back.
Coming from a hospitality background myself, My tip to the barista would be for her to clean her coffee machine properly.

Small little cafe with very lovely ambiance.
Very quite street, nice surroundings. Very cozy for a sunny quite afternoon.
The service is friendly.
Only the coffee was a bit too bitter for me. Not really the type that I like best, but very carefully prepared, not bad at all.

Had the eggs benedict with salmon and a coffee. The latte was perfect but the eggs were slightly overcooked. There was still yolk ooze, but it was minimal.

I had the corn fritters with smoked salmon and poached eggs (sofe avocado cherry tomatoes and spanish onions) for breaky ($18) and it was lovely!! . Will come here again!! Cool non intrusive atmosphere.

Awesome coffee and double beef burger! No kidding, best burger I've ever had!
So glad i found this cafe which is in the middle of nowhere! Seems to get pretty busy too. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Definitely the best coffee and cheeseburger in the area! Trust me I tried them all.
I had the american cheeseburger and coffee for $12. Wife had the bacon and egg roll, I had a bite and I don't know what brand bbq sauce they use but it was absolutely divine!

Good Coffee!! Easily the best, I've had in this area.

Avocado smash is so rich and delicious, cannot wait to come back for a brunch date. Good place, worth going to. The place itself is very well designed as well, check out the lights and wall art! If you want to take good food pics, this is the place.
