Had their fried fish with spicy chili with Thai basil. It comes with a rice. Definitely worth the value, the fish was BIG and it tastes so good. Serving was quick. U can choose if u want ur fish steamed or fried and the sauce that u like. Will definitely go back for the fish again.
I asked for authentic boat noodles and that's what I got. Ask for your food Thai style and you won't be disappointed. I'd have rated higher, but it's a food court and it gets very busy. This is my go to Thai noodle bar from now. They even have the real Thai condiments, such as slices of lime and chilli flakes.
Yummy Thai Food at the Sussex Centre food court is amazing value for the whole fried fish and rice. It's only $12! We tried the chilli lemon sauce, though next time I'd probably try garlic pepper.
Yummy Thai Pork Leg Stewed. Usually a trip to Sussex St food court isn’t complete without eating at Ramen Ikkyu. I’ve branched out! I love ramen but after eating it once a week for around three months straight, I found I need something new. Yummy Thai had some positive reviews online . Check out some of those pictures – much more visually appealing. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to choose, but I love tender, melt in your mouth meat, so I decided to go for the pork leg. I’m glad I did. It was amazing. The pork was stewed in a rich broth of star anise, cardamom and other sweet, pungent ingredients. It was finished with coriander and complemented with a small saucer of chili vinegar. I ate this meal with a fork, no need to use a knife as the meat just fell apart in the nicest way. The broth at the bottom mixed with the plain rice and was yummy. The chili vinegar was fantastic with the meat. This was an enjoyable meal – I’d highly recommend checking Yummy Thai Food out! It was indeed yummy thai food. Price was below average! Ordered padthai $9! Tasted so good and authentic. One whole fried fish with basil sauce cost only 11 bucks! I was wondering how could it be even possible in Australia to have such good and cheap fish dish. Glad that we've found this stall.
After work visited Sussex centre to give some food court a try. Saw Yummy Thai food offering a dinner meal deal and could resist. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, couldn't ask for more. Food served was quite deliciously and could complain much for what the price was
Great hidden Thai place at affordable prices!
I've been here for about 3 times and It's quality has been great! I'll recommend getting the Tom Kha and the staff are patient and very helpful.
Food - 7/10
Atmosphere - 6/10 (due to it being in a public food court but other than that this place is amazing)
Staff - 8/10
Would I come again? - 7/10
We ventured into the Sussex centre food court and decided to give Yummy Thai Food a try and I'm glad we did! The baby clams are delicious, beautifully balanced sweet, sour and spicy flavour.
Yummy Thai food indeed. Good meal, excellent service. The dishes had nice flavours and was well cooked. Enjoyed my lunch here.
Extra crispy deep fried fish!
16.9$ for whole fish deep fried with basil and chilli is a steal!
Been coming here for years, solid cheap eat while you stroll in Chinatown.
Absolutely fantastic. I love eating here so tasty. A simple sawasdee kup (hello in Thai) goes a long way.
Great Thai food. Good deal and can ask more chilli if you love spicy food
