Always tasty always consistent between venues and visits. Some of the best Xiao Long Bao in the world, they are a sucessful world wide chain for a reason. In fact when I was in Shanghai I asked locals where the best Xiao Long Bao was and they directed me to Din Tau Fung! The limited edition Yeti Fun Bun was a big hit with the kids, with sweet filled buns inside an impregnated giant bun. It's very popular so lines can be quite a wait, even at the Broadway food court store. My advice, go early and enjoy before it gets too crowded.
I would say this restaurant offers pretty authentic Chinese food. I loved the chicken dumplings as they were juicy and soupy inside. My partner said the xiao long bao was also super juicy inside and delicious. We ordered those two dumpling dishes along with Dan Dan noodles, a chicken cutlet noodle dish and mango pudding for dessert.
Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese restaurant chain specialising in dumplings as well as other rice and noodle dishes. I love Chinese food and have lots of good memories growing up eating meals with my family so am always happy to visit for a good feed. A group of friends and I dropped by the Chippendale one for lunch one day.
The best dumplings in Sydney! Fast and excellent service, been back many times and always have an excellent meal. Definitely worth a visit!!
One of the best dumplings and my most favorite spicy won ton place in Sydney. Located inside Central Park plaza this place serves up tasty dumplings and noodles
Great place for noodles and dumplings. Have been multiple times and always consistent quality. Mango pudding is also recommended! The spicy wonton and noodle soup dish is my favourite. A great option for a quick dinner at Broadway. Friendly quick service.
Perhaps overpriced for a food court, but Din Tai Fung's reputation precedes them. Can't go wrong with their xiaolongbao. Also can't resist their golden lava mochi balls.
10/10 🍚🍳 Forever my favorite fried rice. Tasted a bit like sticky rice and the portion was quite big. The fried egg rice was sooo good. Lots of eggs and the flavour was just right! The crispy chicken was as good as the fried rice as well. Crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. The crispy coating was spiced perfectly as well. The portion was generous and the food came out quickly as well.

First tried this in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong and it felt special. Now there's 9 outlets across Sydney, this one being in a shopping center food court! Doesn't feel that special anymore.
We grabbed the Pork Dumplings (xiao long bao), ShaoMai (money bags) and 2 Pork Buns! All great tasting but the dumplings felt a little small compared to those I had in Hong Kong, or at least what i remember of them. Awesome to be able to see them being freshly rolled in the window.
Still tasty as hell! The dumpling boy needs to be bigger!
Love the Xiao Long bao!
This place always been my favourite since I worked in China Back 10 years ago.
Quality always never disappointed!
SiuMai and Kimchi Pork Jiaoze also on my menu today.
What I like about the SiuMai here, they have pocket also to to retain the cooking juice.
Pork Kimchi is my new fave.
Golden lava unfortunately is not meeting my expectations, because skin is pretty thick.
Kung pow chicken and fried rice was very tasty. The rice wasn't oily or heaven and complimented the chicken well. We got less spice on the chicken. Still very tasty. We also ordered the vegetarian dumplings.Yum!
A little pricy but worth it for tasty food
Been there last week.
The foods are nice, simple, taste. Everything are great.
Not a good value in a foodcourt price.
I have fried rice with chicken. The fried rice was so good.
Recommended chinese restaurant
One of my favourite dumpling stores in Sydney, with perfect xiao long baos and a whole wide range of dumplings (also vegan options). Their rice dishes are also up to par and i love the convenience of this outlet in a food court as it is easily accessible during lunch hours and is also takeaway friendly! Would recommend this restaurant to satisfy your dumpling cravings, they are all so yummy.
Talk about a food chain success story.. every time I eat at one it tastes just as good as the original. Great spot this one in amongst the new Broadway food court, love what they've done to the place. Sydney food courts are really upping the ante these days.
It's a smaller menu than the original but what is there is , ALL good.
The dumplings are perfect, great beef broth and the pork and beans has always been something special.
And of course how could we avoid the crumbed chicken fillet and fried rice, yum! Dipped with 1 part soy, 2 parts vinegar and ginger, unreal.
Did I mention the Sapporo beer? Happy days :-)
Those Who Love To Eat
+3.5
I really like this dumpling place even though it is on the more expensive side of Chinese cuisine. The first Din Tai Fung I tried was at The Star and it left such a good impression that... when they opened another chain at Broadway in Glebe, I was thrilled. Pity it does not live up to expectations to the one at The Star.
You'd think that they would have a system in place for consistency. Anyhow, who knows what went wrong there?
Came here for lunch on Saturday and ordered the dry noodles with pork and prawn wontons which was ok. I didn't realise that they used Sichuan pepper which has an acquired taste that I can't seem to get used to. The pork and prawn Jiao Zi dumplings we ordered were lukewarm and quite average really. In saying so, their other dumplings that I tried previously were really tasty.
Perhaps it was just the stuff I ordered and to give this eatery another go as I do think it has great portential, maybe not everything on the menu is going to agree with my palate, and that's ok. This place deserves a second chance to redeem itself.
A new addition to the Din Tai Fung family and located in Broadway Shopping Centre in the food court. After watching some basketball in the afternoon, everyone was famished and wanted some food and quickly! This seemed to fit the bill as you can fill in an order form, make payment at the counter, get a buzzer and collect your food when it goes off. Easy peasy!
Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs but we got Pork Dumpling, Black Truffle Pork Dumpling, Vegetarian Jiao Zi, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Crumbed Chicken Fillet With Noodle Soup, and Vegetable Wonton Noodle Soup. The dumplings are always fresh as they you see them making them behind the glass. I especially enjoyed the Truffle Pork Dumpling as has a wonderful aroma when you pierce the skin and soup pours out. Truffle makes it extra special. The noodles are also handmade and so wonderful. Can't ever get enough of them.
We always enjoy eating here when we visit Broadway. The dumplings are made fresh and steamed on the spot. The self serve kiosks are a great improvement on the old pencil and paper ordering system. We always order the Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) and Wonton Noodle Soup - highly recommended!
It was great experience, the foods here are better than expected except the noodles. The dimsums are one of the best so far for me, and the deserts, the golden mochi and bun are so heavenly. Their variations of foods and beverages here are really good. They got 4 stars because of 2 points, the foods others than the dimsums and desert is not that great, they're tasty though. And second point is the price seems not friendly with my pocket, maybe if the dimsums more affordable or got more portions or size I will change my mind.
