Popped in here for a drink with a few friends before a show the other night and ended up having a bite to eat. The vibe was relaxed and the staff were attentive. We shared the ribs, polenta and eggplant discs, it was my second time here but I am so happy that i tried the food this time because it came within 15 mins and was super tasty!
Would definitely recommend as a nice place to get a drink or a good vibe to enjoy a night out for dinner :)
My husband and I had a beautiful night at bauhaus west last friday night. The ambience was unique and pretty and the food was absolutely delicious. We really recommend this place. Had never been before and walked in off the street. The owners really engage with their customers - we had so much fun chatting with them. Definitely give it a go guys!
A Newtown friend recommended this joint to us so we ventured over from the East and boy was it a great night. Awesome vibe and fantastic well priced food and drink...the ribs were to die for!
Last night we stumbled across this incredible little bar / restaurant opposite the Enmore theatre. We had their "bent bento" which was absolutely yummy. And totally a bargain. Their cocktails are awesome and the staff were really friendly. Kevin is a star!
Beautifully presented garden to table, fresh and yummy food in an intimate location in the heart of Enmore, The beef is a must. Chris has created a fun environment and a very well stocked bar. Give it a go.
First time at Bauhaus W last night and loved it. My friends and I were well looked after by Chris and his team. Food was gorgeous and the Fondant dessert was well worth the wait. Great atmosphere, cosy amount of table seating with a chilled out lounge area inside and outside lounges for people watching on Enmore Road - always fun! Highly recommended for a relaxing drink or a sit down meal. Thanks Bauhaus W for a great night.

the food. OMG THE FOOD. we took the suggestion on the menu as to how many plates to order and when things came out we look at each other and commented about the small sizes. but let me tell you we didnt need any more than we ordered. Everything we ordered was delicious and i mean EVERYTHING.
The meat on the lamb shoulder and the Hunan ribs just fell off the bone.
The chef is a genius and his flavour creations took us to heaven.
Again a BIG thank you to Chris and all the staff there for an amazing meal but also an amazing night.
Great food, tremendous vibe and a interesting list of beer, wine and cocktails. Service could not have been more attentive. Friendly, very personable owner spent a significant amount of time at our table chatting to us. Could possibly make better use of the space at the back. Everyone at our table was impressed with his little gem. We'll definitely be going back !
servings are on the small side but the vibe is all hip and happening, definitely a good place for drinks. menu is divided into snacks, small and substantial meals with a handful of good vegetarian options
Great little bar to stop by. With an excellent vibe, the interior and seating is comfortable for just a few or larger groups and with summer approaching, the courtyard out back will be the place to be. Staffs are attentive and have a good understanding of the menu and drinks. The beef short ribs are definitely a must try item. All up I will definitely be back.

Enmore is possibly one of the most famous suburbs in Sydney, home to The Enmore Theatre. It is here, almost directly across from the Enmore Theatre that you will find Bauhaus West, a trendy restaurant bar with a cocktail list to rival any CBD establishment.Bauhaus West is an all seasons venue. It has a beautiful interior stylishly decorated with edgy post industrial type furniture. The seating style is mostly high chairs with tables and although bar type dining might seem unappealing to some people, the seating is actually very comfortable here. For the warmer months, there is a lovely outdoor area which is very relaxed and perfect for larger groups.
You only have to follow a handful of Sydney foodies on Instagram to see just how many restaurants and small bars are opening across the city. The amount of choice can be a little overwhelming at times, especially in emerging food hotspots such as the Inner West. Here suburbs like Newtown, Enmore and Chippendale are awash with new casual eateries. They’re bringing a wave of good food that’s delivered in relaxed, unexpected dining spaces, with unconventional menu formats, carefully planned wine/beer lists and kitchens that satisfy your hunger post 10pm.
Lovely new spot-carefully prepared food.... Great new spot in enmore, sits somewhere between bar and resto....lovely handmade food....can be quite busy pre shows but we had a fab late bite there on Saturday. the duck salad was great, especially the duck jus with berry flava!

Just went to Bauhaus W this evening and we were so happy with our meal. We ordered the olives to start, and then 2 mains to share between two of us: the wagu beef and the snapper. Both the mains were delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked and came with thrice cooked chips which were amazing and a walnut and sweet potato salad. The snapper had an unusual almost sweet batter that complimented the fish perfectly and was served with risotto, sweet potato and sundried tomatoes. It was a really thoughtful and well balanced dish. We shared a desert of sour cream ice cream layered with sesame snaps and chocolate biscuit with a raspberry coulis. We don't normally have a desert but I'm glad we did this time it was great. The service was fantastic, the head waiter obviously knows his stuff. I asked how long they'd been open the waiter told me 3 days. I hope they are open for years to come.
If you’re looking for fine dining on the outskirts of the CBD area, Hartsyard is the go-to restaurant. The restaurant is fairly small and the portion sizes are also small so if you’re coming hungry, it’s probably best to add on extra dishes.

The food was amazing!! We got the scallops, kingfish collar, sirloin and pumpkin seed ice cream! The best we’re the kingfish and pumpkin seed ice cream! It’s rare for restaurants to cook with the collar/belly but it’s my favourite part and it was so flavourful. The pumpkin seed ice cream was unique and flavourful but not too sweet. Great food! Interior design isn’t the best- chairs are uncomfortable. It would also be awesome if they composted their food waste/scraps.
Had this during the covid make it yourself menu - I felt a lot of the dishes were on the sweeter side of things, my palette preference is more so savoury. The ribs had amazing flavours and incredibly moist - so good! However I wasn’t a massive fan of the mussels with the cucumber sauce - not cucumber sauce was not to my liking and felt it was quite chewy.
Been a few times now and the menu changes but its always tasty and beautifully presented. More on the pricier side but a great option for date night. Staff have been really friendly on all visit.

Cute small and fancy restaurant. Starters were delicious! I could have had 2 more portions of each! Afterwards we had a potato dish and then a steak dish. Both were quite small - degustation size I would say. I was quite underwhelmed with the cooking and the size of the steak. Usually at other restaurants they give you one steak to share. But I felt like we received 1/4-1/3 of a piece. They used wagyu but a well cooked cheaper cut wouldve been better and it could be bigger as well! Unfortunately after paying $100 each for the tasting menu, I left hungry 😞 You could add additional dishes but I feel for $100 you should be allowed to feel full.
My partner and I excitedly celebrated our anniversary here tonight and Aidan was our server and he was kind, knowledgeable, and personable.
The food was incredible. I am fructan and sorbitol intolerant and my partner is a vegetarian and Hartsyard we’re happy to accomodate the dietary requirements. 10/10 recommend.
