Review 0.6 - Sydney

Love the idea of an ice matcha latte with a shot of coffee as seen in picture. Lovely cooked chicken wings with yummy sticky sauce and we love the mushroom soup (soup of the day). The poke bowl was a little tasteless but is super clean and healthy. Service is excellent and owner is super hands on and polite. Love the concept 😍 and the food.

Such a lovely and cosy cafe. I’ve been here many times in the past few years and every dining experience was enjoyable. Food is delicious and coffee is nice. Staffs are always super friendly and offer great service. Dishes are creative and nicely presented. There’re also many creative gifts that you can get in the cafe.

It’s a laid-back Sunday and their croissant portion is massive :-) Coffee is nice but bean has the light inherent flavour. Overall I’m happy to take this place as my safe option for brunch.

Such a beautiful cafe in Alexandria with amazing food and an interesting menu. I ordered the "give me wings" which are fried chicken wings with yuzu mayonnaise. The chicken was perfectly cooked inside and the skin was super crispy. Highly recommend. Would love to go back to try out more of their items!

It's been 2 years since I was last here (out of town), and I must say everything is as fastasmical as I remembered. The chicken wings and the sweet potato crisps are memories of delicious essential worth revisiting over and over again, while the description of thr mushroom burger actually made me want to try it, and while it wasn't my thing, it was still well made and definitely an inspired dish. Coming here, you can just tell that the chef makes a menu that is both simple and elegant. I will always drop by this cafe now and in the future. Well worth the visit! Oh and their variety and knowledge of coffee, just, wow~!

Food was good! All the Croissant dishes were their specialty. Tried the one with the pecking duck filling which was really nice. Big servings of coffee and staff were really nice and our little furry friend enjoy the Puppuccino here.

Food is tasty. We waited at the door to be seated as per instructions, but staff just looked at us and moved on. Eventually walked in and was seated. Online menu and ordering was broken though.

Dined in for brunch with friends. I ordered the 0.6 poke with beef. The food is presented well, the taste is okay, and they offer large portion. Drop one star for the service - short of cooks and lack of staffs to serve the table. We understood it was busy time and the food would be served slow. But the staff totally forgot us asking for tap water and moving indoor once tables available. We also had to move chairs ourselves for the group. The quality of service can definitely be improved to match the quality of food.

Foods are good, although slightly below my expectations. Coffee tastes super smooth but a bit sour, which is not my favourite type. But the service is outstanding, they have a super smiley waitress who pulls up my overall score from 3.5 to 4.

My partner and I are obsessed with anything soft shell crab, and so when I stumbled upon the menu I just had to try it! The serving sizes for both the burger and bao were great.

We didn't expect there to be 2 soft shell crabs in each serving. The bao was a little fishy, I'm guessing from the caviar? We were slightly disappointed with the milkshake, it was served in a large metal cup but it looked like it was barely past half in fullness.

Will probably go back as the staff were very kind and the menu looks really unique!

The menu at Cafe 0.6 had long intrigued me with it’s interesting mix of ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. I settled on a bit of a space theme with my order by choosing the Saturn Black Sesame iced coffee drink from their ‘Out of Space’ collection and the Lost in Space waffle dish.

The Iced coffee is described on the menu as not too sweet, which thankfully is 100% correct. It had a subtle black sesame flavour and the espresso shot (which you mix in yourself at the table) gave a powerful coffee hit that made it a true coffee drink (rather than a milk drink).

The Lost in Space was their ’signature moffle’ which is mochi x waffle with homemade salted egg sauce, peanut, black sesame ice cream & berries. Strangely I liked most of the elements individually, but not when they were combined together. The waffle I found very dense, almost tough. I loved the salted egg sauce though and would like to try that on something else. It was a beautifully presented dish, but just didn’t work for me.

Located in the industrial area of Alexandria, parking was difficult during the week and I’ve heard can be tough on weekends too as it is close to some warehouse outlets. Service was very friendly though, so worth trekking back if you have to park far away!

Definitely one of my favourite cafes in Sydney! The menu is interesting and more than your typical brunch place. The horrorscope (crab tempura bao) was really crispy and delicious.

The mochi waffles were a little small for the price but were nicely chewy as expected. The interior and staff are both lovely, definitely will come again.
We had a bad experience here. We had to wait for a long time before someone came over to ask us if we wanted seats but there was no cue and no one else waiting. The staff was unfriendly, rude and very impatient when we asked them questions. Would not come back here.

Great service!
Some of the dishes weren’t as good as I’d hoped though 😔
Coffee 3/5
Benny croissant 3/5 (tasty af croissant and loved how fresh the avocado and salsa was, but needed a bit more flavour and probably the hollandaise sauce 😂)
Smh 4/5 (fluffy af eggs, but the bf thought it was a bit bland)
Banana bread 4.5/5
Granola 4/5 (the fruit and muesli used was 👌)

Overall the food was a bit bland, which I found was nice and light but the bf found it all a little underwhelming and needed more flavour.

Might be my favourite cafe in Sydney!

Definitely one of my favourite cafes! Recently established, I can see this cafe going very far with their innovative and creative menu items and interior.

Staff are friendly and lets you know if a dish will take a little longer than usual and are down to earth.

The menu items have been well thought out so do take your time reading the menu. Also make sure to take in the atmosphere as it's beautifully set out (also has a filter tap, bonus point for me).

Would recommend this cafe to others.

Udon with warm soup and grilled salmon: Yum. Very wholesome.
Chicken wings: Yum.
Fairy tail (Moreton Bay hug): Had with the croissant instead of the soft bun. Thought there was way too much mayo but my girlfriend lives for mayo so she lived it. Would be yum/5 if it had maybe a third of the supplied mayo..

Staff: Friendly and good

Food and coffee was great! There's a lot of seating and it's a great place to study or work as well since they have good WiFi and a lot of charging ports.

Will definitely be my go to work cafe
Snapshots Of Food
We popped by Cafe 0.6 in Alexandria for brunch and was excited to check out their out of space collection. The out of space collection had four planets to choose from i.e. Earth, Saturn, Mercury and Mars. We were tempted to order all four however, decided to order the Earth and a bloody chai (not part of the collection). The Earth is a sweet blue earl grey served with ice, milk and espresso.

So I won a Christmas giveaway that Cafe 0.6 was hosting and I won the “jumbo udon” advertised as being 5 times the regular udon portion size. The process of claiming my prize was very messy with poor communication and/ or planning.

As for the food itself, it was alright, I liked that the soup was not too salty but it wouldn’t not be my go to place for udon and it was definitely a serve for 2.
Flying Forward
Located in a quiet area, the cafe is open and spacious with a clean interior.
However it's let down by the strong smokey fumes from the grill. Maybe an upgrade of the extractor is due. Also the tables were sticky.
Feels like a launching pad for hospitality students from the William Angus Institute next door. The menu concept is out there - so it’s Asian fusion and experimental flavours.
My strong latte was served in a sightly smaller than standard 6oz cup. The milk was poorly steamed as the coffee was thin, watery and sour. The waiter spilled some so the cup was sitting in a small puddle on the saucer.
Forest Mushroom - a combination of sliced cup mushroom and enoki was fried up on the grill with a little too much oil so it was super greasy. Finished with a drizzle of Sweet teriyaki style sauce. A poached egg sat on top but the yolk was cut by the cook. I feel this is a pleasure the diner should have. The explanation by the waiter was that this is how it's served to allow the flavours to develop. However it just left a hollow egg with drying yolk inside. It also left me feeling hollow.
The Centrepiece - ordered with bacon which was crispy. Tick. The okonomiyaki was decent however the sauce (or one of the pickles) was super sour.
The waiter seemed a bit fresh - he was searing a sleeveless tank with an apron so he looked naked. Even without an apron, a waiter shouldn’t be wearing sleeveless tops no matter how hot or how fashionable it is.
2 stars to balance the number of spam and sponsored reviews.

I ordered Pop Da Prawn, Lost in Space & Burger w/ haloumi & mushrooms. It was really good, i definitely will come back to this place and bring more friends to spend times there. Recommended place & i rate 9.5/10 for the foodđŸ„°

The food was amazing, the coffee was great and the servings were large. The interior was fun and fresh, a great place to chat over delicious food.

The good is really really good, the service is amazing, and the price is affordable. Highly recommended.

Please make sure to visit Cafe 0.6, the staff is really nice and welcoming and the breakfast is not just delicious, but it’s served to you like a piece of art! If you get a chance, make sure to try their “Lost in Space” waffles ..I guarantee you’ll be lost for words 😋
Cheralynn
Got Pop Da Prawns, Benny Went to Paris and Mad Cow Burger. The croissants are quite a huge portion, possible to share with someone else! Really recommend the first one, the prawns were really good! The poached eggs were a little of a letdown though as the yolks aren’t runny. The burger was okay, satisfying but nothing spectacular!
Ariel Lao
Very good cafe to a melbournian standard! Love the crossant based everything lol coffee is not too bad but chai latte really steal the show. Great hidden jewel in the neibourhood.

I went on a Saturday during lunch hour. Their brunch food was pretty good, simple and taste well done. However, it’s not up to my expectation for a brunch cafe that has been rated quite high by others. Also, there was quite a wait for the food to be served (not the queue for a table) and if you’re really hungry or expecting a heavy meal, their portion might not satisfy you. But that being said, overall it still deserves a 4 star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐! Happy brunchin!

Service:5/5
Food:5/5
Smoothie: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Dog Friendly: 10/5

We made a booking and when we arrived there was already a bowl of water for dogs! The food was beautiful and tasty- can taste the freshness! Very impressed by the drinks, and very good coffee. Suitable to bring your doggo for a brunch and you will love it as much as us!

This is a really great cafe in Alexandria. The coffee was really nice and I loved the flower decorations. In terms of food, I had the Fairy Tail dish which was okay. It was definitely one of the better bug tail rolls that I’ve had but I liked the Centrepiece (okonomiyaki inspired) dish more. It was really delicious and had lots of flavour and do add bacon! For dessert the Lost in Space with the mochi waffle and black sesame icecream was really really good so definitely leave space for that.
Foodie_wannabe
Went here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon and I really liked it, service was slow (considering we were only a few there at the time) but friendly and both things were delish!
Chloe Law
Went here for the first time today and it was awesome! Service is great, coffee is on point, and I can’t get enough of their food. We tried the duck burger (Rubber Duckie) and the Pop Da Prawns (see pic). Super yum, will go again! đŸ€—
Aileen Min Wu
Be careful that their last order is before 3pm. Lucky the staff are really nice and allow us to order food even if their kitchen is closed already. The duck burger and duck noodle are worth trying and the flying fish is yum. : )

Presentation was Instagram worthy.
We did ordered:
lost in space;
which is really unique in flavour,
Centre piece;
It’s their version of okonomiyaki. It was enjoyable to eat!
Fairy tale:
Enough talking, just order this please, you won’t regret it, full of flavour and it’s yummy for sure.
Coffee a little let down but over all good experience

It is a place near supermarket so I went by before shopping. Ordered waffles, the texture is special (sorta like a roti on the bottom of the waffle?). Love the design of playing

Café 0.6 gets a 10 from me! Now open on Sundays, this café is lifting their game with a cute little workshop/studio space full of fun props and cosy décor.
Some of the most attractive dishes I've ever had the pleasure of trying and to top it off, playful and cute names to catch your attention and stir your curiosity. Flawless food and interesting flavours, I loved the cheeky Asian twist on each and every dish. My favourites were Cut the Crab, Rubber Duckie, Give Me Wings and Lost in Space. Would highly recommend Café 0.6 as this is culinary artistry you do not want to miss.

Featured in my photos are Pop Da Prawn, Give Me Wings, Rubber Duckie, Lost in Space, The Fairy Tale and Cut The Crab.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

My thanks to Café 0.6 for the invite.

I was in the Alexandria area and found this place on Zomato. We preferred the fried chicken wings with sweet potato crisps, mochi waffle with salted egg and the soft shell crab rice paper roll. All 3 dishes were amazing! The fried chicken was crispy and the accompanying sauces were delicious. The soft shell crab roll was fresh and had nice sauces aswell. The mochi waffle was also enjoyable! Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

Flavourful food, portions on the small side, but everything looks great which is probably why Cafe 0.6 has such high ratings, it's all very Insta-worthy.

Service is good and nice ambiance.

Good place to go if you're looking for a great place to hang but I wouldn't return for the food alone.

Like the atmosphere and friendly service, food was delicious but portion was small (compared to the price). The presentation of the dishes were very good.

Really love this cute cafe, food on point and the interior is really cool too.
We ordered Udon for Summer, Pop da Prawns, Lost in space, High on Matcha (currently discontinue) and Man goes fishing
This was my first time trying cold udon, gossshh it was so worth it, so flavourfull, we also got the huge croissant on our Pop Da Prawns dish, I cannot believe my eyes đŸ€©đŸ€©

Our desserts were also super unique, the High on Matcha was really good (it currently not available) but you can order the Lost in Space too, the unique mochie waffle with salted egg sauce (you read it right) SALTED EGG sauce and black sesame paste, ice cream and berries. It turned out really well and I love the balance flavours on the dish

Definitely need to comeback too and try their duck dishes as those were run out at the time we went there
I went to this cafe on last week and I really enjoyed all of the dishes😍 Love the soba, croissant, and also the dessert!! You won’t be regret if you try their food!

Beautiful food at reasonable price. Loved the gorgeous plating along with friendly service. 🙂

The Fairy Tail and High on Matcha was what I specifically went for, thankfully both did not disappoint. Springy deep fried bug tail covered with tangy dressing on a soft roll, so delicious. 😋 I also loved the Japanese inspired matcha dessert. The matcha sponge cake was soft & moist which was sandwiched between a thin layer of adzuki bean paste. The matcha cone was not only for the gorgeous presentation but it also added crunchy element to the dish as well as the granola. The matcha sauce on the side had the right amount of sweetness without any bitterness. The seasonal fruits simply added freshness to the whole dish. It's a perfect Summer dessert. Maybe for that reason, it will retire soon and will be replaced by a mochi waffle. (I’m dying to try that one in my next visit) So get your Matcha on High before it disappears! 😭

This place was absolutely lovely! Such delicious food and drink with a lovely atmosphere that I reckon would be really good for studying. I had their gluten free chicken sandwich which was very tasty and açai smoothie - also very delicious! Would definitely go back.

Cafe 0.6 is a little cafe tucked away from the hype of Grounds of Alexandria. We were greeted by friendly staff and a cute pastel themed interior. There were also art on the walls that you could purchase, which was a nice touch.

We ordered the duck duck duck and burger of the day (pulled pork). The serving sizes were quite large, and the crossaint was the biggest I've seen! The food was flavourful, however, it seemed to have a high ratio of carb to protein. The veggie chips were unique, being thinly sliced deep fried sweet potatoes, but they were a little soggy.

We went on a Friday morning, and it didn't seem to be very crowded. We sat in a section at the back, which seemed quite isolated from the main cafe, so it was quite hard to get the staff's attention. That being said, it is a very work-friendly area with powerpoints available.

I'll definitely be back to try out different dishes!

I came here with my family as soon as i picked them up from the airport. The service was nice, greeted with a smile and was given a time to choose our food. Ordered coffee and it was ok. The serving is good and big portioned. The croissants on the other hand was big but it was dry and a bit all over the place. Salmon was yummy but noodles was tastless. Although the salad was very tasty... the wash area in front of the toilet which is next to the kitchen and cashier doesn't have a bin but probably they emptied it.. still recommended when you're around alexandria.

Food: Tried the Pop da prawns dish, I enjoyed the combination. Iced mocha could be improved. Matcha dessert plate - cake was a little dry in texture.

Ambience: Spacious, with the unfinished warehouse-like Scandi look that's popular these days. Lots of flies though

Service: Attentive.
Love At First Bite
Cafe 0.6 is an Asian fusion cafe in Alexandria with cute pastel decor and creative dishes and drinks. Alexandria has many great places to brunch that dont require a one hour wait so I decided to check this out one weekend. They recently released their cocktail range because its never too early to start drinking on weekends!
On The Food Hunt
A really cute Asian fusion cafe. The new bug tail roll was delicious. The “cut the crab” was really well balanced and the fried chicken wings were pretty good. We ordered a chocolate milkshake too and added extra ice cream to make it a thick shake but when it came it was just like a regular milkshake. Overall the food was great, service was decent and would highly recommend “the fairy tail” (bug tail roll) !
The Brunch Beast
Right in the middle of the concrete streets of Alexandria, in an unsuspecting building sits Cafe 0.6. With high ceilings and Scandi style decor, this cafe is light and bright, with a seasonal menu and little gifts on offer as well.

We visited Cafe 0.6 for the La La Land dish and ended up falling in love with the Matcha On a High! It’s like a dessert and a granola bowl had a baby with Matcha!

This dish had everything! Soft chiffon cake with black sesame paste and an ice cream cone on top, next to fresh cut fruit and granola on the side. For all you tentative green tea lovers the Matcha flavour was subtle and sweet with slight white chocolate hints, when poured over the top.

We also ordered this incredible coffee with about 6 inches of marshmallow fluff on top, blowtorches golden brown with extra chocolate on top! One of the best coffee we have had in ages!!

With new dishes on the menu like:

Pop Da Prawns
Prawn popcorn with fresh Avo on a croissant

Cut the Crab
Softshell crab rice paper roll with cucumber and avocado, peanut sauce and butterfly pea infused cauliflower purée.

Cafe 0.6 if at the forefront of Asian fusion in Sydney.

Love this cafe. Asian influenced which churns out really good food. Highly enjoyed! It's packed on the weekend.

Love, pop da prawn (lightly battered prawn with avo and croissant) and the vegetable chips (I want to make my own now!). They have an extensive menu so there's something for everyone. I need to visit again as there's a few more dishes I want to try out.

I love specialty coffee and chai. They do it both really well. I LOVE the chai here. It's the best one I've had to date. I believe they also sell it by the bag. I need a bag!
Asian Food Ninja
A nice cafe in Alexandria serving up Asian fusion food, their loaded crossiant was good (Roast Duck) and their fried chicken wings with black mayo was pretty good as well. Alot of healthy choices but I love the fried stuff more hahaha
Nicole Dai
Nice quiet cafe in Alexandria with delicious and aesthetic food. My friend and I ordered the Poke bowl and the 'Cut the Crab', which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend the food and service, however the 4G connection in the cafe is poor, so you would have to connect to their WiFi.

I would definitely come back to try out other food items on the menu!
The Engineer Eats
Headed to this trendy cafe for catch up with friends as I spied a menu that is a bit different to the usual brunch affair. Items such as Cut the Crab, Give Me Wings, Pop Da Prawns and Benny went to Paris which we ordered and they turned out pretty good. The blended iced coffee was really good too. Very happy with the friendly service as well

It's as nondescript as nearby industrial cafes with bright and airy but otherwise boring interior and some footpath tables, however, they have great staff, very good coffee - hot, creamy, with a good flavour but maybe lacked some body, and some great foods - not much of the typical egg breakfasts but an interesting range and I had eggs and stuff on a very buttery croissant that worked perfectly and was reasonably priced.

One fine Saturday, Viv popped up in the hood and I was starving so a quick search through our never-ending list of places on the ‘to eat’ list later and we were on our way to 0.6 in nearby Alexandria. It’s such a pretty cafe, decked out in pastel blues, pinks and greys, with a retail wall filled with dashi tape, mugs, tea and cards for sale. This whole cafe just screams I’M INSTAGRAM FRIENDLY with heaps of natural light pouring in, vases of tiny flowers on each table and a glossy, tiled wall with their branding.
Joanna Luong
Been here twice already, decent place for brunch. It’s spacious, not crowded and the serving sizes are filling. Best of all it’s not pricey like some of the other brunch places. Food is also excellent.
Fiona Zhang
Must order Duck Duck Duck. Live the sauce with the duck. Definitely will come again for other dishes. So many choices on the menu. Nice ambience and good food presentation.

A small cafe offers creative brunch. Love the crab rolls. They're crispy. But the la la land was just good for Instagram, the taste didn't bring me some surprises. The staff was great. In fact I went there for the matcha cake but unfortunately it won't be served any more.

Cafe Zero Point Six (0.6) is a trendy little cafe and retail space in Bowden Street in Alexandria. Having driven past a number of times and not visited, I saw some instagram coverage from friends which inspired me to visit. A big and bright space, scandi styled, it has a very beautiful aesthetic appearance. They have a small retail space selling some cool handmade gifts like cards and candles.
@KeraBearEats
Beautiful cafe, lush space. Absolutely adored the shopping experience against the wall - didn't get pictures but go and check it out!

These guys are serious about their coffee. They have a large espresso machine and five separate grinders (most cafes only carry 1-2).

We ordered iced coffee on the rocks, affogato, cold drip, and soy brewed chai. All coffees were nicely done. The chai was reported to be a tad too sweet, not sure if this is the chai tea mixture itself or the added sweetness during the brew.

Food was sublimely simple and fantastic. The menu is a little carb crazy with croissants and sandwiches being the base of most dishes, but honestly, it was all done well and was very tasty. The High On Matcha dish was incredibly decadent, better for sharing than it is for one person (in my humble opinion).

Only let down was our waiter, their mind seemed to be elsewhere. Some drinks that were ordered never arrived, and some drinks were put through incorrectly which muddled our experience. Overall, however we enjoyed ourselves. Interested to see how they do over the coming months.

I went with some high school friends and we sat for a few hours catching up and enjoying the food and coffee without being kicked out. Food was quite nice. I ordered the prawn dish, my friends ordered the duck and an egg dish. All were very nice and filling. Waiters were all very nice too with helpful recommendations.

Very nice cosy cafe, very cute decorations. Seats aren't crammed super close to each other like other cafes are. A very helpful bonus is that they have a small carpark next door so none of the spending 30min looking for parking and walking another 10min to the cafe.

Will definitely come again.

Cafe 0.6 is a cosey quiet cafe in Alexandria. Being in Alexandria, parking is ridiculous, so make sure you give yourself some time to find parking and be happy to walk a few minutes.
The atmosphere of the cafe is great and well lit. The meals were good. Tasty but having been to other cafes, there was no wow factor that makes Cafe 0.6 it’s own.
Janicexrose
Cafe 0.6 or zero point six cafe in Alexandria is a quiet cafe with a brightly lit interior. I love the design and relaxed atmosphere of this cafe, whoever designed this space had the right mindset. The tones of this cafe are muted and have a cosy feel with grey and pink chairs and light wooden surfaces.
Brunonono...
Not bad for the new kid on the block but I'm worried whether it can survive the long haul....sadly when you look past a lot of the presentation there's a solid lack of substance.

The "healthy" fruit bowl....call me not humoured...well interesting choice of serving it with just a spoon...

The not so classic bacon and egg roll? What is not so classic...a nicer roll?

The eggplant though...redeeming...miso and eggplant fried topped with bacon and fried egg...oh yea! But the pumpkin purée umm what's that for???

Overall there's quite a bit of work. No doubt that there's some good bones...but being quite out of the way from everything, having just a lovely decor isn't enough...maybe a month or two this could work out :)

Defs a place for that candid photo****

Shout out to the two Chinese girls that just left their hand bags at the table and went to the back to pose for selfies....any other place and you'd be in trouble :)
