Lovely bar and great food! Their handmade pastas were all delicious, especially their gnocchi and their black spaghetti! Their charcuterie board was also great, a decent size for the price. The aranchini was also delicious, I could've eaten a dozen of those if I had the chance!
There was also a live performance on the night which was nice and provided a nice mood to eat dinner to. Definitely recommend, but they can be quite busy so definitely make a booking beforehand.
When in Sydney about a month ago, I found it hard to know where the cafes were. After looking over and over again I came across this cafe online. When I arrived, there were a lot of business men and women (not an issue though as they were quite). We sat down and were given our menus and we ordered then after. I got the signature granola and also a cappuccino. Food came out at a reasonable time and we ate. It was delicious and looked fantastic. Coffees your great too but found it weird that my friends latte was only 3/4 full (assuming it was 6oz)
The only let down was the table service. She was miserable and didn't really greet us. I don't know if she was just having a bad day but she was very dull. The upside was the gentleman at the counter when we paid. Very upbeat.
Will come back for:
+ Eggs Benni
Perfectly cooked eggs benni (the holandaise sauce was still hot when it came to the table, the eggs perfectly cooked, and served on French toast with really fresh spinach and Smokey leg ham). The only comment I can make is the serve is on the small side. Washed down with an orange juice - perfect way to kick off the day. Service was friendly and efficient. Will be back!
Enjoyed a good coffee and a deliscious bowl of granola here for breakfast this morning- the panacotta added some creaminess along with lemon curd and passionfruit for zing.
Fantastic coffee and lovely cafe environment. City hustle and bustle but the service was great! Will most definifely be back to try the food
We visited white rabbit for a work lunch. The booking process was a little difficult but every meal was perfection on a plate! I loved my gnocchi with short rib ... I just wish I'd taken a picture!
I'd rate them a 4 for breakfast. At first glance the overall low resting put us off. But then it seems that this related mainly to service. So we have it a go. Breakfast was great. I had Eggs Benni and it was perfect. Too little bread and I had to dip into my wife's. Coffee very good with a slighy bitter aftertaste which is perfect for me. Yes staff seemed a tad distant and Rabbit van lift that part of service easily. Overall very good.
Enjoyed a delicious breakfast at White Rabbit on Saturday morning. The service was very friendly and professional and when I'm next back in Sydney will definitely dine here again.
I come here if I'm in the city and feel like a healthy lunch. The salads are substantial - I always leave feeling very full and satisfied. There are many to choose from and they are all delicious. I usually have a juice with my salad. I've also had the seafood pasta which I also enjoyed
Premium cafe located in the cbd offering a decent menu. The location is great and it's a nice spot to dine with friends. I highly recommend the chicken salad. The customer service is good here.
Located opposite the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in the city. It is cafe that specialised in charcuterie and hand made pasta. They have other offerings such as salad and burgers too. The service is friendly but they kept running out of the salads they were offering.
I went with the Beef Brisket & Caramelized Onion Burger. I enjoyed the smoked barbeque relish and the beef patty but wish the burger was slightly larger for the price ($23). There was a generous serving of fries with it but they needed a bit more colour and crunch to them. Overall not bad at all.
It is really rare to get such good and personal service in a city bar restaurant these days. My friend and I ordered a bottle of wine, at about 9.30 in the evening as the place was really pumping. When we got the wine, it wasn't at all what we expected and I went back to the busy bar to tell the barman. He was really polite and said the manager would see me. It was nearly immediately that the manager saw us, worked out what would suit us, and came back with a new and different bottle of wine which he gave to us at no extra charge. We were made to feel really welcome until the bar closed. The staff are amazing, which is a true reflection of Steve, the owner, who we chatted with as they were closing up. Great work team. You will have continued success if you keep up your level of care and service! Thanks for making our night!
Had a couple of visits to the White Rabbit. Takeaway/short order side is average to say the least. The sit down menu side is better and a good place to meet up. Tables are well spaced and seating is inside and out. Food servings are a good size and all various dishes i have had have all been enjoyable. Red Velvet Pancake at the last outing was very tasty with a nice toasted edge and fluffy texture.
Don't Believe The Hype
+3.5
I have eaten lunch here a couple times and have really enjoyed it. Much better than a meal at most pubs in area. But then the venue is just ok and service is a bit disorganized.
Food 4/5
Venue 3/5
Service 2/5
This is one of the few places open on a Saturday morning. Blessed for its coffee (well it's not like there is too much competition on the weekend!)
But seriously a great location well frequented by regulars and tourists alike
Food menu is good value and yes there is a bar for those needing a stiff drink or a relaxing wine
A recommended must do - when in Sydney
We headed to White Rabbit on a Monday morning for breakfast and it was a great way to start the week. I ordered a long black to start– it was smooth and full bodied, very enjoyable. My partner in crime and I both ordered the Summer Breakfast. A combination of avocado butter (smooth, mashed and seasoned avo), a generous medley of fresh tomatoes, ashy goats cheese and two poached eggs on top of charred bread. The combination was to die for and the portion was perfect. Moreish flavours, top quality produce and a nice seat on a cool morning. I would definitely recommend for a healthy breakfast in the CBD.

I was fortunate enough to come here with a Zomato voucher. We arrived as a group of 6 with dinner reservations and we were seated in the outdoor dining area. The location is right next to the busy side street, so it can get fairly noisy. Being a Thursday night, I was surprised to see how busy it was - I suppose Thursday night after work drinks is also a thing. The live band provides good entertainment and is a nice touch.
White Rabbit is known for their Charcuterie Boards (cold meats), so no doubt that was on the list of things to order. We also ordered the Antipasto Platter (for 6), Marinated Olives, Golden Fries, Four Cheese Arancinis, and a selection of wines and ciders.
The Charcuterie board had a fair amount of cold meats provided, so the serving was quite substantial. The dips from the antipasto platter were tasty, as well as the arancini, which was nice and pillowy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Whilst everything was nice, there was however no dishes that blew me away. And with most cold meats, they can get quite pricey and adds to the bill, but leaving your stomachs feeling a little empty.
Pros // fresh, friendly service, live entrainment, good for groups
Cons // noisy, can get pricey
Food: 3.5/5
Ambience: 3.5/5
Service: 3.5/5
The service from the front of house people was very good. The meals were awesommmmmmm!
The kitchen crew are clapping each other on as they obviously work hard to keep their standard high!! The Octopus salad and Gnocchi with lamb were amazing!
The Top Line: A modern restaurant with a casual but sophisticated vibe offering wines and generous, well thought out mains. Portions are massive!! The wins included the 36 hour braised lamb pie and ‘one pan’ breakfast. Misses included the pastries and drinks…. The Review: White Rabbit is perfect for a casual catch up with friends and they provide plenty of outdoor seating (with heaters) to enjoy the fresh air on the corner of a busy city street. There’s an almost rustic, but clean, look inside with a bar and see through kitchen.
Hands down THE best zucchini flowers I've ever had. The cheese is soft and melty, and they are lightly crumbed to perfection. A great spot in the CBD for after work drinks too.
This is a very ‘professional’ cafe serving very good food. A lot of business meetings happen here and I’m pretty certain they come here to 1. eat food 2. may be have a meeting. I had the pasta > 6hr tomato & veal ragu, olive crumb, Parmesan, chili oil & basil, and my client Caesar salad. Both dishes were made with love and care. I give this place 4 bears
Great little place for a lunch. Friendly staff, beautiful food and fairly priced. I was really impressed by the Caesar salad. One of the best I've ever had! Will be back again for sure! The only downside was that they refuse to do split bills, which shaves of half a star.
I knew of White Rabbit as I live in Double Bay. My friend and I booked ahead and met for lunch. We both chose the Wagyu beef open sandwich. SO DAMN GOOD 💯
The meat was tender, the bread was great, the onions were both sweet and juicy, loved the crunchy kale too, and I don't like kale haha! I do recommend the place for sure.
Only downfall is, despite a QR code, there wasn't anyone checking if we enforcing registration or even checked our temperature. Every business is different so I know it's not always gonna be the same sort of measures.
Apart from that, definitely great :)
Came for late breakfast. Service was good, coffee was also quite nice. Ordered the scrembled egg with chorizo which was nice enough but missed the mark a little. They glazed the bread with a strong olive oil made for salads, which hits you really hard. The chorizo was nice, the eggs could have been folded a little better but overall enjoyable enough.
Great, corner cafe location for work lunches for two or big groups. Amazing quality of food. The chicken breast was succulent and the tabouli and chick pea purée was to die for! So mouth watering! Didn't expect restaurant quality food for a cafe. Friendly staff, modern atmosphere and good service. Will come here again!
Got dinner and cocktails here, and it was fantastic! I got a salmon special with gnocchi, and my girlfriend got the bacon beef burger, and they were both delicious. They also had very tasty cocktails, and the staff members were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for a nice, easy evening.
Excellent food and surprisingly good prices. Only $11 for 2 eggs and toast! Wonderful staff 😁
