Really great southern fried chicken. They do have some of the hottest fried chicken. If you're not feeling spicy, they have classic southern fried chicken. I love getting the chicken tenders with a side of thick cut fries for $18 which is super filling. The pickles are refreshing in between the juicy pieces of fried chicken.
Nice place with great ambience and friendly staff. The chicken is great and the sides as well. A little expensive though
If you’re looking for southern fried chicken and typical American dining, this is the place to be. Delicious chicken but chips are a bit under seasoned.
The food was very nice, the potato and gravy was very tasty and the hot chicken was spiced really well. It was a little hot for me that day and the lady that was working provided such excellent service alongside giving me a complementary iced tea to soothe my mouth! Would reccomend
Great place for Western-style fried chicken, service is friendly and seating is a choice between cosy indoor or cool breezy outdoors. Chicken is fried perfectly - absolutely no complaints; super juicy on the inside, and crispy on the outside. Chose the hot heat option but couldn't taste the spicyness at all, recommended to go lvl6 heat if you can handle your spice well. Fries were also great and seasoned well. Good deal for $15 when you get 3 wings, free side and slice of bread
One of the best western fried chicken places around Sydney
Update: Recently came for the shin ramyun collab - great cocktails and quality !
Would definitely return! Food was impeccable 🙆🏽♀️ Shoutout to the wonderful staff that didn't intrude our meal or kick us out when while we were talking post meal on our table even though closing time had past.
Only realised when we were leaving, 10/10 to the food and 10/10 to the staff 👌🏽👌🏽
Firs time trying belles hot chicken and I was not let down, came here for chicken waffles and the Arnold Palmer was on point as well, definitely a new weekend ritual !
I got the “spicy” sandwich and the chicken and batter had a great texture but the chilli was very mild and there didn’t seem to be much flavour apart from the chilli. The $18 sandwich was pretty small and fell apart easily. It did come with a free side and my mac and cheese was one of the best I’ve had in Sydney with a great creamy taste and texture. Thirsty Bird does better and cheaper chicken but I’m struggling to think of anyone else that’s better than Belle’s, so I’ll be stopping in again.
Good friend chicken! 4 good size wings with heaps of secret sauce and seasoning and one choice of small side is $17.
We chose medium heat, but not really hot at all. They explained Hot heat is a big jump, so hope they can make medium-hot then haha
Casual dining for nibble. We do not mind to go back there again if we are wandering nearby.
I had a quick meal at Belles before heading out to the airport. I’ve walked past a number of times and been wanting to try their fried chicken.
Service was very fast and I had my plate of three drumsticks and chips in front on me within minutes. I had asked the waiter about the spice rating and he had scared me so I only went for the second notch - I think it was the spicy rating. It actually had no bite at all so I’ll move up one notch next time. No way I am going to the highest rating after learning a lesson in the states years ago!!
The chicken was excellent. A crispy coating but very juicy underneath. It was probably as good as any fried chicken I have had in Sydney. If one tiny criticism, it could have been just a bit hotter. If it was, I’d have given it 5 stars.
Service was fast and very friendly. It makes such a difference when you get friendly service!
Belles isn’t cheap but it isn’t crazy either. I’ll be back!
I've been a Belles fan for a while, but this one is a great addition. Much more intimate than Barangaroo, but same great vibe. Nice lighting and booth seats make it a great date location. Especially if you want good wine. I don't know much about natural wine, but I know that it tastes pretty god damn good. Knowledgeable staff, and no frills comfort food.
Chicken. Waffles. Bottomless Bloody Marys and cocktail jugs. For a smooth $50 this is one of the best value deals around town right now!
Upon arriving for our 1 pm booking on a Saturday afternoon, we were quickly seated at a booth inside and our drink orders taken straight away. For the chicken and waffles, we had the choice of tenders, drumsticks or wings and also heat level – Southern, Medium, Hot, Really Hot and Really F**kin Hot. The waitress recommended hot if you like spicy food as medium isn’t hot at all, so I trusted her judgement and went with that.
Upon first taste of the chicken tenders, I realised ‘Hot’ really wasn’t spicy at all. There is a faint kick which pairs well with the sweet maple syrup, however, I’d love to try ‘Really Hot’ next time to get more of a chilli flavour. I loved the generous portion of pillow-soft waffles with the juicy fried chicken, which although not too spicy had a crisp and flavoursome coating – yum!
In terms of drinks, I’ve been to a few “bottomless” dining options across Sydney and often I’ve found the cocktails to be watered down or
The food are good as always. Newly opened branch in darling harbour. The service was quick for the food but since we sat outside the staffs didn’t quite notice us when we need something or wanted to order something but then they’re very nice. The mac and cheese was sold out when I wanted to refill. It tasted okay, not as cheesy as I thought it would be. The chicken was crispy and the fries are my favorite!
