I had a craving. Beef brisket wonton noodles is comfort food for me, salty and savoury. This wasn’t a bad version. The broth was tasty, you could taste the shrimp in the wontons, a generous serve of noodles. Didn’t like eating from the takeaway containers but maybe it’s a temporary COVID-19 measure.
Located in the food court on level 1 of Market City, this shop is known for their roast duck, roast pork and bbq pork. They do their roast meats extremely well. There is a huge selection of other rice and noodle dishes. Dishes are well seasoned and taste great.
Excellent food for a food court, would definitely order from here again. The atmosphere was still good though
The combination bbq with roast duck and roast pork is done very well here - the meat is tender and flavourful, the skin is crispy. The serving is generous and great value for money.
I've had this twice in the last fortnight 👍 I would say it is the one of the best Chinese roast meats you can get in the city.
Needed a quick cheap easy lunch. This is exactly what I got here. Service was decent and food was quick to come out, no complaints here. I ordered a fried kway teow and pork noodle soup and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I was really impressed with the fact that they didn't over do the salt in the food. I've had my fair share of salt in Asian cooking and more salt doesn't always mean more tasty.
I had been tipped off by a family from the north-western corner of the greater Sydney area to try this outlet. They always go for the roast duck. Now this can be a tricky bird, as it naturally has lots of oily portions to keep the cold out. I had eyed this Aussie guy smilingly collecting his noodles with the duck...it did look captivating. So I had a test with the traditional mix - soy sauce stirred egg noodles, dumplings and roast duck.I loved it and would return! It also made me get takeaway boxes of the Char Siew and roast pork. The former has a juicy tenderness and the latter has a crispy top over the succulent meat. I can only compare with the barbequed meats at the Eight Modern Chinese Restaurant at market City Sydney Chinatown and with some of similar servings at Hawker. The roast duck has an oomph at this Super Chef BBQ. Its outer skin is not dry and the meat inside has flavour. Now there is no fancy orange and cherry stuffed inside here, it is just how the skin is hung so dry to capture the honey and other coatings done Cantonese style.Super Chef BBQ visited is located at the Food Court, level 3, Market City, Haymarket Sydney NSW.Opening hours are from 930am to 830am every day.Contact +612 9211 3118My impressions of the Super Chef BBQ are focused on one thing - the luscious and tasty roast duck. No Hong Kong styled goose though.....but prices charged charged are practical and service is fast at this takeaway. The meats are not overly oily as found in other competitors.
A Chinese BBQ and noodle bar that specialises in Hong Kong style dishes is situated in the Market City foodcourt on the top floor. Most diners come for their barbequed meats but they also cook some very authentic Cantonese hawkers style dishes.
The duck, bbq pork and roast pork is as good as bbq house as its cooked throughout the day and the high turnover ensures the bbq meat is always fresh and succulent.
The beef brisket with dry noodles was like you would find in any restaurant in Hong Kong where the texture of the brisket is perfect with the right amount of chew and the flavours spot on with traces of mandarin peel and a lingering star anise flavour.
The pricing is good and the portions are decent. The meals are served quite quick which completes the formula for a competent foodcourt eatery.
If you hanker for casual Canto, then Super Chef BBQ hits the sweet spot. It’s great value, fast food that satisfies the taste buds and your budget. No wonder they attract hordes of happy, loyal customers every lunch time.
Super Chef BBQ is one of the more frequented places in the market city food court and that's probably due to their range and consistency.
Over the past couple of years I've probably been to most places in this food court, however always find myself returning to Super Chef if I don't have a craving for anything in particular.
I generally rotate between the BBQ pork and rice, or the XO sauce noodles. The dry noodle dishes with dumplings are also quite good, however the flavour of the dumplings themes elves may not be everyone's taste. Prices are good and I've never had an order mixed up not matter how busy it may get. If you're looking for BBQ then this has to be your top choice. If you're looking for something else they also have non BBQ dishes, noodles and some aides that may interest you.
Located in market city food court,it's seems to be one of the busier places here. It's mainly serves Chinese meats so bbq pork and char su are available here. I didnt try these instead tried there pepper home made noodles,it was pretty good but a bit too much pepper. My partners beef brisket noodles, she liked it. Had the Veges with oyster sauce and at $4.50 it feels like a bargain. Food came out at a reasonable rate and prices were reasonable too. Surprisingly it beat my expectations on how it was going to taste!
BBQ Chicken with Rice...Ask for a whole of soup on the side (which is free) as the rice is rather dry. The BBQ chicken is well cooked and tastes delicious with the sauce provided.
One of the best laksa I’ve ever had. The roast duck is crispy, juicy, just yum. It is so decadent and smooth, really really good.
A.3 baby!!!!!!!
Their roast duck and braised beef are amazing!
It has become the standard for us when trying out roast duck and braised beef in other cities.
Just make sure to request extra duck sauce for the rice :)
Ordered the salty chicken. Great size serving for price. Tasty and authentic.
Good takeaway place in Paddy's market food court. Meals are nicely prepared and came out quickly. Staff are friendly.
The food here is top notch! For a restaurant that is located in the food court of market city the food exceeded all my expectations. I would highly recommend that you try the food here. We had ALL of the meats and my favourites were the duck and the roast pork - it was full of flavour and so tender! You can bet that we will be back!
Great venue for a quick selection of roast duck, roast pork, bbq pork and other dishes.
Have been here a few times to have egg noodles with prawns. But today, I enjoyed my Salt and Pepper Whole fish very much. It maybe a bit oily but in general, still taste very good with rice. A small bowl of soup would compliment this dish very well. Roasted duck is also nice as usual 😊.
