Good flavors and fresh vegetables, spicy but not just hot. Better than United States average Thai food quality, even restricted to big cities that have numerous Thai food options.

Nicer-than-average neighbourhood Thai food. When there are so many casual Thai restaurants in Sydney, how do you evaluate between them (if you're not an expert in Thai food)? For me, I look to see that there are a few unusual dishes on the menu, and I love it when there are unusual vegetables or spices in the dishes, such as Thai eggplants (that look like tiny apples) or in the case of IIMM Thai, whole strands of tiny green peppercorns. Also happy to see on the menu green papaya salad (Som Tum) and whole fish, which I think is a particularly nice specialty of Sydney Thai restaurants.

So, we were happy with our experience of getting take-out from IIMM Thai for about ten people, with a wide selection of dishes, enough spice to give some of us a jolt, friendly and quick service and reasonable prices. Next time I want to try the recommended 'Authentic Southern Thai dish', Kua Kling, a tangy beef dish.

Decent Thai. I ordered the cashew nut stir fry with tofu and vegetables which was very tasty, but I thought the yellow curry was a bit lacking in flavor. It's BYO which is a plus, but a bit on the pricey side for Thai food if you ask me!

Lots of Thai restaurants around Sydney, especially Surry Hills. Stuff the "Street Thai" joints. IIMM beats them all for taste, cost and service. The girls are great (and Ian :-), especially if you have kids with you. Non-pretentious, delicious Thai food at a reasonable price. Totally recommend it.

Great service, cozy restaurant, ordered Veggie Thai Fried with Pad Taley and Crispy Fish fillet with tamarind sauce. Both recommended dishes were spicy bur bearable. The tamarind sauce was flavoursome... definitely a nice option in Surry Hills
